History
Established in 1999.
In 1999 native Texan and outdoor enthusiast Scott George combined his climbing skills and love of nature and founded Austin Beautiful Trees, a tree care service dedicated to «Keeping Austin beautiful one tree at a time».
Scott quickly gained a strong reputation for his technical skills and customer rapport. Word of mouth spread, the business grew and Austin Beautiful Trees incorporated in 2005.
Scott is a certified arborist. Rather than unleashing several crews all over Austin, he closely supervises only one talented team, most of whom have worked with him for over seven years. This high level of quality control is one of the reasons ABT comes highly recommended by so many neighborhood list-serves. Although available for oak consultations year round, Scott avoids pruning oaks in the spring to reduce the risk of spreading oak wilt. Experience, quality control, the ability to listen, concern for the health of your trees and a good eye add up to the Austin Beautiful Trees advantage.
Meet the Manager
Scott G.
Manager
Long before he founded Austin Beautiful Trees, Scott George was a science nerd. After receiving a National Science Foundation summer scholarship he chose to study Business Administration at Texas Tech as a way to expand his horizons (and meet more chicks). Scott began his professional career in the banking industry where his responsibilities included team management and customer service training. In 1998 he was awarded the Goodwill Industries Volunteer of the Year award.
Scott has lived in Austin since 1983. When not camping, rock climbing or swearing at his golf clubs, he’s playing guitar and singing around Austin. These days Scott’s not so much into meeting chicks (now that he’s met one good one). He’s more of a dog lover now. Visiting with more than three dogs on any given day is a day well spent in Scott’s book.
Scott is a Certified Arborist and a Professional Member of the International Society of Arboriculture.
