Welcome to Austin Orthodontic Specialists! Dr. Michael Dillingham has been making smiles beautiful in central Texas since 1991 and he can help you achieve your best look too. Our office offers a full range of orthodontic services and appliances from the almost undetectable Invisalign, to the tooth-​colored ceramic braces and now the technologically advanced self-​ligating Damon braces in a modern, fully-​equipped facility. At Austin Orthodontic Specialists, our friendly and highly-​skilled staff has years of experience and strives to provide a enjoyable visit every time you come into the office. Both of our offices are comfortable and conveniently located North and South. We offer flexible appointments to fit your busy lifestyle because we know how valuable your time is. We also offer rotating appointments, both before and after school, to avoid missing time, as possible, for your children.

History

Established in 1994.

Dr. Dillingham began his work as an orthodontist in 1991 at Horizon Dental. In 1994, Dr. Dillingham opened his own orthodontic practice located in north Austin on Parmer Lane. In hopes of making his services available to more Austinites, Dr. Dillingham soon opened another office at IH-​35 and William Cannon. For several years, he operated both offices simultaneously, and in 2009, he moved the south office to its current location at US-​290 and Brodie Lane.

Business Owner

Dr. Michael Dillingham has been practicing orthodontics in Austin since 1991. He attended Rutgers University for his undergraduate studies and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1989 where he graduated as the valedictorian of his class. He then earned his specialist certificate in orthodontics at the Oregon Health Sciences University. Dr. Dillingham regularly attends orthodontic continuing education classes and stays on the cutting edge of orthodontics with both training and equipment.

Dr. Dillingham was elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (the national dental honor society) and maintains active memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists, Southwest Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and the Austin Orthodontic Study Group.

Dr. Dillingham has been married to his wife, Nancy, since 1981, and they have two sons.
