I gave a 1 star review based on my parents recent unpleasant experiences in their new car purchase.
The day after my review posted a new service appointment materialized and their salesman called to check on their status.
Happy to report that after the service appointment yesterday morning it was discovered that their 2016 Equinox had a defective battery. The new battery was installed and everything seems to be working fine.

Routine service was handled efficiently. Location is convenient. Staff is professional.

We’ve had a great experience. We were there to sell our two BMW. Vito and his son, both were very friendly and the manager, Milo, is a nice person. We liked them at all. We really recommend these guys. Wonderful!

I started the long journey of finding a truck months ago with Courtney W. Through the long drawn journey the entire team at AutoNation has been amazing. I just rolled out of there with a new Colorado.
The after sale service is amazing too! I had to get a tire and a windshield replaced at no cost to me! I won’t go to any other Chevy dealer next time I’m on the market for a new vehicle. I’m am an AutoNation customer for life!

AutoNation, and specifically our sales person Brad Lisenby, exceeded our car buying expectations. Other dealerships couldn’t come close to matching the price we paid for our new Silverado and Brad was a true professional from beginning to end. He was honest, upfront, and respected our budget. Ian in the Finance Dept was also a pleasure to work with. He was efficient and clearly knew his stuff. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to AutoNation for our next purchase.

I’ve bought parts from them a few times and there is a man named Morris Jackson, who works in the parts department. He lost my tax exemption forms for b2b transactions several times and every time would lie and make something up to get me to fill them out again. Anyway don’t buy parts from this place if you are a business, their parts guy is a moron.

Patrick and the team at this Chevy house excel at taking care of the customer and above all in communicating to the customer. Expectations are set and subsequently met. Good job on several occasions.

I haven’t purchased many cars in my lifetime and I normally dread the experience. My wife and I just purchased a 2015 Tahoe LTZ and were thoroughly impressed with this dealership. We found a Tahoe that we were interested in on their website. Cory W called me the same day and we made an appointment to test drive the car a few days later. We test drove that vehicle and 2 others. We made our decision and finalized the paperwork the next morning. The AutoNation team worked with us on pricing and trade value for this significant purchase. I was very impressed with their professionalism, knowledge, attentiveness and their willingness to be flexible. Thank you very much Cory W (sales). You did a great job and you definitely earned our business.

My wife and I were shopping for a new 2016 Suburban. We contacted several dealerships in the area including Austin, Round Rock, Hutto, and other nearby cities. To our surprise, most of the dealerships tried very little to win our business. In fact, they seemed to almost not even have time for us. Several of the dealerships also apparently don’t have a required training program for their sales-​staff as they couldn’t answer basic questions about their vehicles (rear-​end ratios available, the new Apple-​interactive media center, differences in interior packages, etc.) nor how they stacked up against competition vehicles.
NOT the case with AutoNation. We were amazed with the level of customer service provided by Courtney W. from the start. She not only returned calls and emails quickly, she worked to answer every question I had, and there were many. If she didn’t know, she would tell me and not BS me. She would go find the answer and get right back. She also gave us a fair price without making us take a trip or two through a wood-​chipper, nor did we get passed through 3 levels of ‘sales managers’ to get the right price.
After we ordered the vehicle, Courtney’s service did not end there. She worked with us as we negotiated through the paperwork, and even sent us pictures of the vehicle as they were making it ready for delivery.
It was clear from the start that Courtney would treat us like her only customer, and she showed motivation and pride in her work. If you’re buying a Chevy, go request her!

I purchased a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe from Autonation last week with several warranties in addition to the 5 yr/​60k mile warranty. Our finance manager handling our deal — Jason — told us the tire and wheel warranty covered any damage to the wheels and tires for 100k miles. During the flooding last week, I ran over a median that was submerged at an intersection and blew out two tires and incurred cosmetic damage to the wheels, and had it towed to Autonation and submitted a claim. As it turns out, the warranty does not cover «fixed objects», like medians and curbs — so the warranty does not cover «any» damage to the wheels or tires. My claim was denied. I called the warranty company, and requested that they re-​submit my claim considering the circumstances of the weather. Upset over the denial, I went in last night to speak to a finance manager about the situation. Apparently, the finance director was there to speak with when I walked in and informed a salesperson of my situation, but I suppose I wasn’t important enough as I was pawned off to a finance manager. I informed them of the situation, the denial of the claim, and that at this point I had no faith whatsoever in being protected through any of the warranties I purchased from Autonation, partly because I signed all of the warranty paperwork in a hurry around 10pm at night and felt bad about keeping the people at the dealership late. I requested to cancel the warranties and get a refund so I could take my time and purchase a warranty and read the documentation at my leisure, and he explained that the money would be applied to the balance owed on the car and not refunded to me personally. He said he would speak with the General Manager to see what they could do to help the situation and make me happy and to hold off on cancellation until I received a final word on my claim. He also said he would get with the service advisor and make him aware that they would be seeing what they could do to help. I received a call today saying the vehicle was ready for pickup, and they didn’t have a final cost because the paperwork hadn’t been closed out. When my wife goes to pick it up, she is charged $ 562 for the install of two new tires and an alignment — and not a word is mentioned about speaking to the GM or finance manager.
In addition, the salespeople and the finance manager are very particular about the «survey», and that we must rate them perfectly. According to their staff, they will not be paid for the deal unless their surveys are perfect scores. What is the point of a survey and offering feedback about the experience (good or bad) if the expectation is set up on the front side of the survey for the customer to lie and withhold feedback? Is this an Autonation thing, or a Chevrolet issue in general? It makes the survey irrelevant, and does absolutely nothing to coach and grow their team.
Not only does it seem Autonation is being dishonest about their warranties, but it seems they are trying to cheat whatever system they have in place for feedback and customer satisfaction to ensure they get paid. I waited all day today to hear from the GM, as I gave my name an phone number to the finance manager last night, but never received any communication other than my car was ready from the service advisor.

I love the 2013 Tahoe I bought here, the truck rocks. However, I purchased a service plan with the truck, the service department is DEFINITELY lacking in customer service. Every oil change for 2 years has been done by AutoNation.
Last week it took 4 phone calls to get to a person to make an appointment for my oil change. Every time I pull in at my appointment time the service person I am ‘assigned to’ has no clue I am coming, and does not greet me. Today James informed me that even though my appointment was scheduled for 11:30 his team takes lunch at noon. Not my problem sir… don’t make appointments at 11:30. Get it together AutoNation.

Service center is a long painful experience! You get 2 years of free oil changes when you buy a new vehicle but have to take 2 hours of your day for a simple oil change! And the waiting room is empty. I also scheduled a useless appointment, where I was 15 minutes early for. Almost not worth the hassle!

My dad went in to test drive a corvette and the salesman was so rude! He said they don’t let anyone test drive them… which I’m sure is not true. They also said they wouldn’t honor his company gm discount on a corvette because they didn’t have to. He said he thought my dad was playing an April fools joke for even asking… just FYI – he bought a corvette at a different dealer. and they honored the discount. Do not purchase a car from this location!

Don’t waste your time with this dealership. They aren’t willing to negotiate prices on their trucks. They have a ton of inventory, but apparently don’t want to sell anything. The truck I drove was a 2011 with almost 47K miles on it, has been sitting on the lot a month, and had been bought and sold through this dealership twice already. I walked in the door with financing approved and they still tried to play games. Their fees on top of the sales price added an additional $ 2600 to the sticker price.
They wouldn’t budge even a little bit off their asking price to work a deal with me. Then tried to talk me into a truck that was «more in my price range.» Then tried to make me feel bad about setting a budget and sticking to it by implying I couldn’t afford the vehicle I test drove.
I know what I want; I expect a fair deal and I don’t compromise either. Chevy trucks in Texas are everywhere, and there are a ton of other truck dealerships in Austin that will make a deal with you to sell a product; however, this is not one of them. They’ve already made plenty of money on the selling of this particular truck and just wasted my time with their greedy high pressure sales tactics. Have fun paying taxes for a while as that stale truck sits on your lot collecting dust…

Smooth, fast, and I’m a happy customer. Ronnie made this haggle free and enjoyable. Ian made the financing so smooth (my most dreaded step) and I was able to sell my truck back with no problems. I’ll be coming back here for new vehicles in the future. So thrilled.

While my truck was in for repair work their shop foreman decided to use my truck as his own and picked up another employee from the hospital in it. I spoke with the service manager and the general manger who told me they would look into the issue and get back with me but I never heard back from either. While I understand the need to test drive a vehicle under certain situations, a customers vehicle should never be used for personal errands.

Update. …as of today, i have not received any phone calls back. i am pretty thorough and will report my progress on here. I know how Unilocal works, they hired someone to monitor their ratings and post a response to make it look like they genuinely care about customers. in this case, I did as Molly stated and have not received any response.

If nothing else, I am a procrastination extraordinaire. My car has been recalled for a few years now and I finally decided to take it in on Monday to be fixed. Shame on me I know.
Here is a list of what I needed done according to the notice GM sent me:
–Loss of power steering assist; replace electric power steering motor
–Ignition switch replacement (explains why no valet in town can ever start my car)
–Replace ignition lock cylinder and ignition key
All of the above is done at no charge to me of course since the fault is that of the car company. I set up my appointment over the phone and they sent me a confirmation email which was awesome. Once there to drop my keys though, I was confused as to who I needed to talk to.
I asked the cashier and she was very kind and pointed me in the right direction. The guy I spoke with had me write down my name, phone number, address, and gave me a business card for the man who would be calling me in the morning with an update. The service felt very rushed and slightly irritated that I was there to begin with.
I waited yesterday all morning and never received a call, so I phoned myself around 1 to see how things were going. The man said he was just about to call me anyway because my car was ready to be picked up. I had until 7pm which was perfect.
I got there at 6:30pm and the man I called was gone for the day. The cashier gave me my receipt and said someone would be pulling my car around shortly. I saw a car wash on site and was hoping they would wash mine before giving it back. Nope! It actually is more dirty than when I brought it in because the back window is covered in bird poop. Not that I expected they would since I wasn’t paying for the service, but the gesture would have been professional and appreciated nonetheless.
The man who brought my car up gave me no greeting, didn’t hold the door open for me, nothing. He simply got out and walked away without a second glance in my direction. If you want any sort of warm customer service, don’t come here (with the exception of the sweet cashier). But if you are looking for work to be done on your car in a timely manner (without them calling to keep you updated) then this is your place.

Y’ALL. Go see Cory! He’s the bomb.
Everyone at this place is super friendly and fun. I was greeted instantly and introduced to Cory. He asked me what I was looking for and drove around the two options I spoke about. He wasn’t overly pushy which was such a pleasure. He was very informative and thorough, and he definitely is on the consumers side.
I ended up purchasing a 2015 Chevy Sonic that I fell in love with. He helped me get the deal I was looking for, and never made me feel pressured. I would buy a new car from him every time I need one. SERIOUSLY!

Not sure why there are so many 1 star reviews. I just purchased a 2014 Chevy Silverado from Spencer and Jaime… What a terrific experience. I went to several dealerships looking for my new ride, and AutoNation stepped up to the plate and did a fantastic job selling me a car. I never once felt like I was working with a «car salesman» Jaime listened to my needs, answered all my questions, was patient with the lady friend, and found me the perfect truck. No hard sales, no surprises when I went to pay, just damn good service.
