Bowden Barry, DDS MAGD

After a terrible experience at another dentist office (see my other review!) my husband gave Barry Bowden a try. He definitely needed a cleaning and also had a filling/​crown that had fallen out years back and that we’d avoided dealing with. I nervously awaited the diagnosis and estimate for the necessary work (my husband has had gum surgery in the past and doesn’t have the best set of teeth in the world) but was pleasantly surprised to find out all he needed was a basic cleaning and a new filling in the hole that the other one had fallen out of. Total cost-​$ 474. Big relief! Finally a dentist who doesn’t over-​complicate things or try to lure you in with a low introductory offer and then ring you up for all kinds of fancy and unnecessary procedures. I especially like that he’s been in business for such a long time in Oak Hill, and his staff have also been there for decades.
