We just got our photos back from our Christmas holiday shoot. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Chris is a talented photographer and has tons of experience taking pictures of children. I didn’t know at the time I had booked our session how extensive Chris’ experience was. Chris had worked for a local portrait studio, taking pictures daily of thousands of different families and individuals. Then, later, branched out to open his own company. I think it was his past experience of working with a diverse population that has made him truly successful photographing families.
My son is one that never looks at the camera. Let alone, catch him smiling! Chris was able to get him to look at the camera and smile! Often times people don’t know what you’re getting in a photographer, but rest assured, you can guarantee to have some great family photos to hang on the wall. We will be using him again for sure!

My husband and I both worry that we’re awkward and not photogenic so when we first got engaged the thought of upcoming obligatory photos was pretty intimidating. We met with a few photographers but really fell in love with Chris’ work, so we decided to test him out with an engagement session… We were sold once we received our beautiful photos!
Chris was great at communicating with us and trying to help us avoid as much day-​of stress as possible even if our planning wasn’t nearly as tight as it should have been. He asked great questions and offered us a lot of insight from someone who has been involved in more weddings than I care to imagine. In the end, we have a bunch of beautiful photos that actually showcase us as a couple. That’s what really sold us on Chris; looking through his photos you get a feel for the event and the people involved in it, not just generic, posed shots.
Chris was a pleasure to work with and we hope to enlist his help again one of these days.

There are many photographers on Unilocal with attractive portfolios, however getting them to return inquiries can be difficult. For the most part I got no replies. Chris returned my call, and despite not being able to fit my needs into his schedule, talked with me on 3 separate occasions trying to help me find a photog who was available. So in summary, the 5 stars isn’t for his photog skills at my gig, but simply for the basics of doing business and going out of his way to help. Chris is professional.

We had our family photos taken by Chris this year and we couldn’t be more pleased. He was so patient and accommodating with my girls, one being a newborn, and was even able to get real smiles out of my husband. We are looking forward to using Chris again for our next family photos!

I love Chris Brock –I can’t imagine having a better photographer for our wedding day! He was so nice to work with, fun, energetic, professional, and all around a wonderful talent! Chris photographed my daughter and son in law’s wedding 11÷24÷12. He also did their engagement photos. EXCELLENT JOB!!! Of all the wedding vendors Chris was hands down the BEST. We are all delighted. Chris is an energetic, attentive and organized photographer. He did a very nice job of getting all the shots of our guests and of the party in general. We will continually be reminded of how great the wedding reception was through the images captured by Chris. Thank you

Chris is such a wonderful person to work with as well as a great photographer! I used him for an event that had over 500 people and the shots were amazing. He is also very personable and friendly. He did not hesitate to make the corrections that I requested and even gave me the pictures on a DVD. Whatever reason that you may need a photographer call Chris and he will do a great job. =)

I own Jetté Momant PR & Event Productions (a combined effort of Décor Jetté & Manna Lifestyle Marketing) I’ve worked with multiple photographers when I was a wedding planner (Décor Jetté) and also now that I am a public relations professional. Having said that, I can honestly say that Chris is one of the most talented photographers I’ve worked with. He’s extremely easy and fun to communicate with, he clearly and quickly understands my clients’ vision and executes seamlessly and with precision. He shows up on time, stays late, and delivers stellar results early. I’m terribly picky about photography, especially food and beverage photography and Chris is able to capture people, food and beverage with ease and precision. We found Chris Brock on Unilocal.We were looking for someone to cover our wedding for at least 4 hours, for under $ 1,000.00. It seemed realistic at the time, but after much research we found that most of the photographers that cover weddings charge about $ 1,500.00 on average for 4 hours of work. This means that the artsy wedding photographers that we really liked, the ones taking photos at Hotel St. Cecilia, etc., were charging about $ 3,000.00 and the ones that took photos that looked as if they’d worked for Olan Mills for decades charged about $ 1,500 (these were the ones that would show up on time and wouldn’t mess anything up but would provide boring photos in the end). Chris was our solution: he was within our budget, he was very creative, and he provided unlimited amounts of communication and an unlimited number of hours of coverage on the big day. This means that we had him for the bridal photos beforehand, the family photos beforehand, the wedding, the reception, and even the after-​party – about 10 hours total. He also took our engagement photos and found interesting spots around town, including the Hotel San Jose, the Austin mural, the Hello Cupcake truck, Congress with the skyline in the background. It wasn’t the backdrops that were unique so much as the photos. They were very artistic. On the big day, he was there early. He was calm and professional and many guests commented on how charming he was. It took about 7 weeks to get the photos back, which is better than average. And he even sent our THANK YOU photos ahead of time, within a week of the wedding, so that we could include it in our custom photo thank you cards. As we all know, it can be difficult to find a photographer that is artistic and affordable and professional. Usually one of those three has to give. In Brock’s case, he was able to be all three. (Please note that some wedding photographers have a policy that they will give you the CD of photos for personal printing purposes, but only after 12 months. This is *not* the case with Brock’s. You receive the entire CD as soon as he is done editing them all. In our case, he took about 900 photos and edited about 360 and super-​edited about 12 of our favorite and 5 of his favorites.)

Chris photographed my boyfriend, dog and I for our annual Christmas card. He was very friendly but also professional. Chris is very creative and came up with some great ideas, which made our card very unique and fun! He had very quick turn-​around with getting the photos back to us, and was happy to go back and retouch one of the images at my request. He was very easy to work with and I was pleased with how the pictures turned out — I would definitely work with Chris again!
