Camden Cedar Hills

I am not typically one to write a review about anything but Camden apartments have been so great I thought everyone should know. When I put in a work order, later that same day they are out to fix whatever it was. Our neighbors are quite and respectful. They recently painted the complex and it has a really nice appearance both inside and out. Great complex overall — definitely one of the best I have ever lived at.

The best choice I made was to move to Camden Apartments. Since the very first time I met the staff I have been impressed with their professionalism and their ability to accommodate was very impressive. I would recommend this property to any.

So I don’t know where to start. I moved out of Camden Cedar Hills about a year ago. I had lived on the property for 3 years!!! I moved out to be closer to work. I totally forgot to write a review. The shame I feel. I will always remember Camden Cedar Hills as my home away from home. The staff is warm and welcoming, and I absolutely love chatting with Erin and Kodi.
I live in a Greystar property now and I must say Camdens customer service beats grey star hands down ! What I love about Camden Cedar Hills is the landscape is beautiful, spacious units, and of course the maintenance team (very fast responses). It’s also tucked away in a nice calm area. I will return soon if not to Cedar Hills to another Camden property. I miss you Cam-​Bam-​Cee-​Cee-​Hills!

We really enjoyed living at Camden Cedar Hills. From the sparkling pool and beautiful outdoor grounds, to the spacious and stylish apartment layouts, we’ve enjoyed living here immensely. The gated community is very safe and well-​kept, and the staff are very prompt about responding to maintenance requests.

I have lived at Camden Cedar hills for about a year and a half. I love it! They allow big dogs, and have a large dog park for them. There are doggy stations throughout the grounds w trash cans and doggy bags for our convenience. Everything is kept very clean and neat. I believe the lawn is mowed every week. Maintenance is great about solving any problems the day of or asap. The only downside (which hardly affects me) would be the office staff is constantly changing. I think I’ve seen 5 different individuals as manager or assistant manager. However, I love this place. It is beautiful, quiet, and clean. They have several social gatherings if you like to meet people. And the admenities are nice and very well kept updated.

Camden Cedar Hills is amazing! The office staff are all so friendly (shout out to Erin!) and know us by our name, the maintenance guys are awesome and friendly and always SO quick to respond and resolve the issue immediately, the grounds are always maintained very well, the pool is gorgeous, I could go on and on. We love this place. We’re here temporarily with our two young kids while we are building a house, and we’ve always felt completely safe. I was dreading going into an apartment, thinking back to my college days dealing with pest problems, loud neighbors, etc. But we’ve had NONE of those issues here. It’s a great place for college kids, professionals, families, and singles. Highly recommend!

I am moving out of Camden Cedar Hills this weekend (I am so, so sad).
This community has been my home for 2 ½ years and it has been the best apartment community I have ever lived in — and I have lived in A LOT of communities. Nine to be exact… and I’m only 26. Ha! But that’s not the point, so let’s move on to the good stuff…
The community is always clean, always quiet, always perfect. There were minor things that have been a little weird, like dog poop in certain grassy areas, but whatever… if you have a dog, deal with it… it happens everywhere. Secondly, I only experienced loud noise coming from the pool once while having an apartment near it, so I called courtesy patrol and they instantly went by, shoo’d the pests away and I was back to being happy as a clam. I lived in three different apartments my entire time here; two facing the pool, and one facing Slaughter. I loved them all.
They have an extremely reliable maintenance team. I mean, these guys are great. I kept clogging my bathroom for some peculiar reason — other than wild taco nights at the local taqueria, but they respond rapidly, and did a great job. There were a few other miscellaneous things and those also got quick responses.
I haven’t really dealt much with the leasing staff, but they’ve always been super when I’ve had a question about something or when I’ve tattle-tale’d on someone for a wrong-​doing. :)
It’s a pet-​friendly, family-​friendly, young professional-​friendly, community. Good for all. It’s away from crazy downtown, but still close to south Austin shops and the new Alamo Drafthouse.
Oh yeah! One thing I did hate — and this wasn’t Camden’s fault — the Bowie High School marching band and their super-​ultra-​mega loud instruments early summer mornings… ugh. I lived through it, though. I guess it’s okay if you don’t sleep in during the week like I do.
So yeah… move here! The reason I am moving is because I can no longer afford it. LOL! I’m a loser, and I will be moving to Riverside… where I hope to like the new districts that are being built. It’s a bit less because I’ll have a roommate, and it’s closer to my job and my mother, which is a must for now.
Cam-​Bam Cee-​Cee Hills, I will miss you…

I like living her for the most part; all the faults I have found are due to the other residents, not the employees here. People don’t leash their dogs, which is super aggravating when I am constantly jumped on by dogs. People stay out by the pool all night and are super loud. My apartment overlooks the pool. I wish the leasing staff would pay to have a security guard enforce the pool hours so I could get sleep when I want it.
The maintenance guys are wonderful and most everyone in the office is pretty nice. I will be here at cedar hills til I leave austin when I graduate in 2015 but boy do I hope they read this and hire someone to enforce the quiet hours!

My fiancé and I have lived here for the past 6 months or so and we both love it. This is my 3^rd apartment in Austin and my favorite so far. Our neighbors are great and we love the friendly vibe. The office staff has always been helpful and friendly as well. Every time we have needed anything they have been prompt. The layout of the apartment is nice and it’s a good size for the 2 of us and our 2 pets. Since we have an energetic dog, we love the giant dog park although when it rains it is basically a mud park. We almost never have parking issues and it’s very quiet despite Slaughter and the high school across the street.
The downsides? While we love the layout, the doors in the apartment are weird. The door into our bedroom and the closest door cannot both be open at the same time, same with the doors into to bathroom from the living room and the bedroom. Luckily, we never have a need for all these doors to be open at the same time. Also, the storage closet for our model is tiny! All it has in it are moving boxes folded up and there isn’t space for anything else. Finally, the gate. It really doesn’t do much and there isn’t a clicker for it. You have to use a card meaning you have to stop on your way in, scan the card, and then go in. There also isn’t a gate code (at least we don’t know about it if there is) so our guests have to wait, too.
Overall, if we were going to stay in south Austin after this year, we would certainly be staying here.

If I could give this place more stars, I would. And that’s a rarity for me. I’ve lived here for just under a year now, and just renewed my lease. Camden Cedar Hills exceeds my expectations in every way possible. The office staff, maintenance, tenants, amenities, location, and apartments themselves are wonderful.
The office staff is really friendly. Always free to help with anything I go in there for. They’ll sign for packages if you’re not home. They always greet me by name, take the time to get to know me, and ask how my business is doing. They put on a fair amount of social events for the apartment community as well. I haven’t attended any myself, but the bash by the pool looked like a lot of fun.
Maintenance is amazing. They are extremely quick to respond to service requests, often completes them within the same day, does an incredible job, and are so professional. They wait til 10am to come by because they know I usually leave for work shortly after and don’t want to wake me! Does it get any better than that?! They’ve even offered to help me move heavy items/​furniture because I’m a female living here by myself, and knew I needed assistance. They take care of everything from light bulb replacements to power outages. They do an extremely good job too! And they have ²⁴⁄₇ on call maintenance in case you ever have an emergency or lock yourself out of the apartment (been there, done that). When my washer broke, they called me first thing the next morning and had a brand new one installed within the hour.
The residents are friendly, pick up after their dogs, quiet, and respectful. I’ve never had any noise problems. I’m probably the noisiest of my neighbors, actually. The grounds are always kept really clean and free of litter. The pool is always clean and never over crowded. It’s very peaceful, especially during the weekdays.
There is also a lovely business center and very cool rec room with large flat screens, table shuffleboard, billiards, and a kitchen. Great for small get togethers. And the pool is extremely serene with a tropical feel. It has an awesome area with lounge chairs in a very shallow (about 6 inches) separate pool for tanning, tables with umbrellas, and 2 really nice BBQ grills. I like to lay on my raft in the afternoons :) Almost forgot, and a 24 hour fitness center.
It’s a great location as well. It’s right down the street from Mopac and only a short drive from downtown. I’d choose Mopac over I-​35 any day! I can make it to work in Central Austin in less than 15 minutes. There are 2 HEB’s, a Randall’s, and multiple other great restaurants/​stores within a couple miles. They just opened an Alamo Drafthouse down the street as well!
Oh yea, the rates are surprisingly affordable. The floor plans are awesome and mine is very open (which I love). I looked at over 30 places before choosing here. Everything is darn near brand new. The kitchen has matching stainless steel appliances, a built-​in microwave, a pantry, and granite-​style countertops. A full-​size washer and dryer is also included. The bathroom has plenty of counter space, storage, and an oversized garden tub. Other things that make me tingle inside… light, neutral painted walls with white trim, crown molding, and 6 panel doors, ceiling fans, 2 inch blinds (not the obnoxious little ones that always break or the vertical ones that fall off every time you open your patio door!), large patio (with storage closet), and a walk in closet (not big enough for me, but larger than any of the other apartments that I saw).
I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an upscale, luxurious apartment at a great price!

I’ve lived in a few apartment communities since I moved to Austin, but Camden Cedar Hills has been the best by far. I was the first tenant in my apartment, and I got a GREAT deal on the rent. The leasing staff (especially Koti & Mindy) were awesome and always made me feel welcome when I was in the office. Even though it was a fairly new property, they continued to make improvements the year and a half I lived there (including a dog park).

I did a lot of apartment shopping in the south Austin area and no other apartment compared to the pricing and quality that you get at cedar hills. The staff is super friendly, they handle maintenance issues quickly, and they keep the grounds very clean. we wont be moving for quite some time.

If I could give this place less than one star I would. Last holiday season the management got to take all the holidays several mind you while my apartment molded following a flood that did over $ 15,000 worth of damage to my personal property.
The flood was due to an improperly installed hot water heater bursting in the middle of the night. It was the second one I had had in the unit after enduring multiple plumbing problems.
MY insurance was the only compensation I received for the loss b/​c their insurance man claimed my lease required the policy for that coverage and they were liable for none of my lost time, emotional distress, or property damage.
They let me out of my lease two weeks early and claimed that was all that I deserved. I did not want to move but they did not clean up after the damage b/​c they knew I was going to have to move. I ended up HAVING to move on New Year’s and missed Christmas with my family b/​c the office staff was on vacation and I had to deal with the mess myself.
This was even after I had the first water heater replaced and had plumbing issues with sewage in my tub, etc. right after moving in. They tried to give me half off one month’s rent in December and I had to fight to get to have that month free.
Two weeks rent is really just compensation for losing my personal belongings and my holiday season? Truly?
Office staff sucks, aesthetics are nice but beware because beauty is skin deep and this place’s construction is shoddy at best.
