Carter Paint & Body

Steve outdid himself again for me! I had a little incident with a pole, and now my car looks all new. He worked with the insurance company to get all the necessary work completed, he helped me get a great deal on a rental and he completed the work very well and very timely. I would recommend Carter Paint & Body to anyone who wants a great job done on their auto body repair.

Worst place ever!!! 1 star is generous. Do not even think about this place. Came on Monday morning to get estimate. Filled out a form and was told they would call me back. Tuesday afternoon came. I had to call them. They said nothing had been done and would call me back. Still received no call back. Came back in on Wednesday morning. Owner Steve said he would look at it. Called and talked to asst manager James on Wednesday and told me he can’t stop what he’s doing just to make me happy. Very rude!!! James is basically the rudest person ever. Steve the owner didn’t care too much about my business either. I’m surprised this place is in business.

Steve and James were very helpful in getting replacement parts rather than just bondo the front end of my Cadillac. They really worked for me rather than the insurance company. The quality of the repair was A+. The matched the pearl white color perfectly. I will use them again in the future.

My 2005 Dodge Ram had severe damage due to my wife’s recent decision to not use its brakes. We looked to Carter for help because of their location. We have dealt with the Carter team before on other, unrelated car issues so we felt we could trust them.
Upon receiving the truck, Steve Carter called personally to explain his plans. He was very encouraging and provided the assurance I needed to realize the truck was in good hands.
The insurance company probably wanted to total out my truck due to the damage costs vs. actual worth. The truck has been with us for some time, so we asked Carter to help influence the insurance company direction — I am sure there was a lot of time and effort invested by the Carter office to make it happen (BTW, James is great!)
Last week I picked the truck up after it being at Carter’s for about 3 weeks. It had been cleaned nicely and was ready to go. Since it was a front end repair, the guy that drove it out of the shop raised the hood and explained all that was fixed or replaced to include indicating OEM parts that were used. The hood was aligned, no abnormal gaps in the fenders, hood latch worked smoothly, and all pieces were in place. It actually is better than it was prior to the wreck.
Many thanks to the Carter crew — from my experiences, I certainly would recommend them to others. While I hope to not have to visit them again, I am sure my wife will make sure I return to Carter in the future.

I had an opportunity to take my 2003 Saturn to Carter Paint and Body when getting it ready for my 17 year old daughter to use as her first car. They polished the head light lenses for a very reasonable price, had an appointment conveniently available, AND got it done for me on time. Little did I know that I would have to go back 2 weeks later when the front bumper just fell off of her car (yes, her father was with her so I know it wasn’t just a story). The A/​C stopped working and we were worried sick since I had just paid a lot to get this car to running condition. They re-​wired the thermostat (located in the bumper) and re-​attached the bumper, also for an extremely reasonable price. Also, when I took it in, Mr. Carter was there on a Saturday (when scheduled to be closed) and still took great care of me. I like them and would go there again.

I have taken my car to Carter Paint & Body for many years now, and I have no complaints. My car has always been fixed correctly. Even when I would go to places to just have my car inspected, or have the oil changed, and I would mention that Carter Paint & Body had worked on my car, I was always told that «Steve really knew what he was doing», and how «he takes a lot of pride in his work.» I couldn’t be happier knowing that my car and my safety are in such good hands!

My original review was erased. I don’t blame Carter for trying to hide reviews about the horrific work and service they offer. My experience was absolutely horrible! They had my car in for repair for over a month and in the meantime the shop manager would show up at my waitressing job and hit on me telling me I owed him drinks because he was «hooking me up» with other detail work. Very awkward. The worst part was that I got my car back and one of the lights did not work and my window wouldn’t roll down. Carter’s would not take any responsibility for this. I ended up having to spend $ 1000 to fix what they would not. When I called to explain the problem, they hung up on me!!! My new mechanic says the work they did was awful and they should be put out of business. There was so many missing bolts after they worked on my car. This is the worst place! Do not take your car here!!!
