Chili’s Bar & Grill

MAN!.. Chilis used to be the bomb. But it seems like these more recent years they’ve been off their game. I guess after that long they’re beyond off their game… they’ve just completely gone down hill
The first time was actually at the Burnet road location, and the first time we’ve been to this one because it’s far from our home. Our waiter was this 300-​pound rude slob. We were a party of 6. ages ranging from 14 – 60 right around 1p.m. on a rainy day. Anyway, for starters he wasn’t friendly. Took our drink orders and walked off. TEN MINUTES LATER he had EVERYONE’S drinks in his hands, so he kind of held his arm over the table for everyone to pick their drinks and relieve him. …It’s called a tray genius. Then with the other half of the drinks he literally slid them across the table for the people at the end, nearly spilling them all over the table and us. Guess he didn’t want to walk around. I already sensed this guys bad attitude.
I love their entrée called the chicken Caesar pita. They have a fajita one but it’s not as good. Anyway the Caesar pita isn’t on the menu anymore so I asked if they still made them. He responded «yes we can still make it» So I replied with okay I’ll have that then and if I can substitute the the FF for mashed potatoes. He stopped and looked and me and said «WELL I SAID WE COULD MAKE IT. NOT THAT WE WOULD.» Serious face as a heart attack. Then he’s says «im just kidding, lighten up.» and goes back to what he’s doing. I’m sitting there dumbfounded, embarrassed and furious at this point. OKAY… listen here guy…1…You’re were already off to a bad start.2.I don’t appreciate people when try to embarrass me and 3. I don’t even effing KNOW YOU so you shouldn’t joke around with people if you don’t know their sense of humor. My mother-​in-​law told me to just blow it off. Apparently I was the only one butt-​hurt about it.
To top it all off my husbands Dr. Pepper he ordered was HORRIBLE! It almost tasted old? generally the taste was just absolutely funky and impossible to identify. We waited for our waiter to come back so we could let him know, and order something else. He walks up and my husband simply says «hey man this DP tastes funny, can I just get a coke instead?» The waiter looks at him funny and says «REALLY?!» As if he was lying. HE THEN PICKS UP THE DRINK AND STARTS CHUGGING FROM THE SIDE OF THE CUP!!! Smacks his lips together and puts on his ridiculous pondering face. WTF!!! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! At least open up a new straw and do the bartender trick. That’s just unsanitary and WRONG for some many reasons. «hmm, let me try something » is all we got. He then brings out the glass of coke but I couldn’t help but think to myself… HOW DO WE EVEN KNOW HE GOT A NEW CUP!!! He seemed to have no shame or boundaries earlier. I might as well whip out my chap stick or tampons so we can share those too!
After all this I didn’t want to touch my food or drink. I refuse to go back to this OR any other Chili’s for that matter. That was just absolutely unacceptable.
