So many problems with this doctor and the way they run the office. Only had one visit with Dr Berent, it was rushed and he was rude, it was not a physical but I was due for one in a month, but didn’t return. I think there has only been three other doctors in my life — I’m 53 yrs (and this includes taking my daughter to many specialists over a 3 year period and taking my grandmother to a couple of different doctors) that can compare with his extreme arrogance. He did not want to hear me out and he asked almost no questions. When I tried to give him more information he would cut me off while I was talking, for a first visit and for someone who is sick, that’s just not right. And, he was dead wrong about my diagnosis too.
Maybe he just has problems with women patients? A guy friend recommended him to me and I saw 2 favorable reviews from men, so maybe he is a good fit for men patients. If you’re looking for a good Internist type of doctor for your primary care physician I highly recommend Dr. Bharati Kolte — a woman, and I have reviewed her as well. She has a fantastic bed-​side manner and is very knowledgeable AND her staff including her nurse, is very nice, compassionate and quick to return phone calls — you won’t get a phone call back from Dr Berent’s nurse (I didn’t care much for her personality either) until the very end of the day — usually 4:30 to 5:00. I was very distressed after multiple phone calls relaying information to his nurse and then having to wait until the end of the day before getting a response. He should have called me personally. A good doctor will.

Excellent experience! Dr Berent is a very relaxed person and has a great demeanor as a physician. He is very thorough and he listens to your medical history quite attentively. He pays attention to detail and makes you feel relaxed so you can explain all your concerns. His office staff is very pleasant and personable. His nurse (Lisa) introduced herself and explained how the visit would proceed. The staff was not rushed and snippety as you find sometimes at other offices. The place was clean and cozy and has a convenient central location. There is free parking.

Best doctor I’ve ever had. I came in for a physical and Dr. Berent was extremely personal and thorough. Asked a ton of questions and gave thoughtful answers to mine. I feel that I am in good hands with him as my primary care doctor.
