Come to Ek Creations Studio and learn Pottery, Ceramics, Hand-​building, throwing on the pottery wheel and how to paint it all!

Ceramic molds are from 1950’s and 60’s. My grandmother gave them to me when she was 91 and I moved them all from Tennessee to Austin, Texas.

Also offers Summer Camps, Girlscout pottery badge, Retirement Home classes, and private lessons.

Ek Creations Studio is actually my garage. It is efficient, fun and a great place to create! Private lessons are available by appointment.

History

Established in 2002.

When I was 12, I asked my grandmother for her ceramic shop. When she was 91, she gave it to me. With the help of family, I moved everything from Virginia to my garage in Austin, Texas. I added airconditioning, a pottery wheel, organization and created Ek Creations Pottery Studio.

My grandmother lived to be 96. I got to show her I could teach ceramics too. I’ve taken her education and expanded it into a business I love.

My grandmother taught me ceramics as a kid. When she was 91, she gave me her shop in Virginia and I moved it to my garage in Austin. Ten years later, I’m still teaching and loving it. I have summer camps, teach at retirement communities, help girl scouts and also teach at heartsandpaws summer dog camps. You can do a lot with clay. Come find out how.
