Fortress of Inca sells mainly women’s footwear but does offer some leather accessories and men’s shoes. The company’s products are handmade by Peruvian artisans and comprise mostly of natural materials such as leather, rubber, and wood.

The company believes in sustainable production and running an ethical business. The owner and his business partner personally audit each factory to make sure the shoemakers are paid fairly, receive social security, and feel safe in their working environment. The factories we employ provides equal opportunities for men and women shoemakers thus providing sustainable lives for many Peruvian families.

History

Established in 2010.

After a backpacking trip to Peru by the company’s founder, Evan Streusand, Fortress of Inca has grown into a reputable shoe brand which sells handmade leather shoes, boots, and accessories to boutiques and independently owned stores all around the USA and Canada.
