Go With the Flow Irrigation

Eric was quick and fixed our sprinkler system for a VERY reasonable price, and it worked perfectly after he left. Ive used other services before to fix sprinkler leaks, but Eric will be our go-​to from here on out. Highly recommend.

I have no idea why these guys have such good ratings… here is my horrible experience with this horrible company and business owner Eric.
It started about almost 4 months ago. My irrigation system was not working at all when turning the timer so I looked on Unilocal and found them. So I decided to give them a call, like some other low rating users here state, no answer, voicemail, or returned calls… Eric did not return my call it was one of his employees a week later, forgot his name. That should of been my first sign to stop and not allow them to work on my lawn… however, I was too busy to call someone else which is why when they called me I decided to just go ahead and have them come.
Once they came, they charged me for checking the system, replacing some sprinkler heads and suggested I changed some of the backyard control valves which they believe seemed to be the problem. I paid over $ 550 dollars for the hours of labor and parts and they left. Well, to my surprise I came home that night saw the sprinklers running as they should and was happy, however, I woke up in the morning and noticed they were running.
So I went and checked the timer, turned it to off and saw the sprinklers go off in the backyard. I then left to work. Later that day my wife comes home to a FLOODED BACKYARD!!! even though I turned the sprinkler system off it did not stay off it came back on who knows when during the day and it was on all day, backyard was completely flooded and water was running all the way down my front driveway from backyard onto the street, my water bill was way over $ 400 dollars that month not including my regular $ 200 bill so over $ 600 dollars!!!
I was so pissed I called Eric, who then took his sweet time to come back. Since he took so long to come back to fix the issue I manually turned off the main water line that is in front of my house to the irrigation system so that this would not happen again… Well he finally came back and finds out that the issue was with the parts (Backyard control valves) that him and his employee replaced. He then tells me that he fired the guy that did that like if that takes care of all my problems and my high water bill.
I then tell him that he needs to reimburse me for the water wasted and or refund me some of the original money i paid him. He refused and said he could not do that, the only thing he could do is pay me back with labor but he will not do anything until the City of Austin can prove how much water it really wasted and what the bill was. I mean, you call this customer services!!! I then dealt with City of Austin to only find out that they only pay 50% of the water overage since I reported it to them and it takes 3 to 4 billing cycles!!! so I had to wait, in the mean time it has been raining a lot in Austin so I have had no need to use the sprinkler system since he supposedly «Fixed it»… so to my yet again surprise I go to turn it on 3 weeks ago or after the week that stopped raining and IT DOES NOT WORK YET AGAIN!!! so he never actually fixed the damn problem!!! So i called him and nothing again… no text message replys, no returned calls, left several voicemails, nothing.
So finally after 4 months of dealing with City of Austin and finding out the correct amount of the overage, I email him the receipts from City of Austin and no reply to my email. I text him asking to please reply or call and nothing. It has been now almost a week since I reached out to him and I am just going to call another irrigation service to come resolve my issue and probably yet again pay another 5 to 600 dollars since this guy will not call me back. So I ended up paying him $ 560 dollars for nothing plus another $ 400 to City of Austin for his employees\companys mistake and now I still have a bad irrigation system…
Well, this was my experience with these people, I have seen some other unsatisfied clients on here, I hope any others out there voice their concerns so that no one else is a victim of this horrible business and unprofessional business owner Eric. I wish him the best but what goes around comes around. I might even contact the BBB to see if there is something else I can do to get at least some money back from this thief.

The home builder’s contractor didn’t do an adequate job when installing my irrigation system. I had all kinds of sprinkler problems, including patterns of dead grass because of bad sprinkler coverage.
The design of the sprinklers and the layout didn’t seem to match up at all. As soon as I realized this, I hired Eric with Go With the Flow Irrigation to re-​design and improve the spray patterns of my sprinklers, as well as extend the existing irrigation to cover a section of my yard that the contractors did not cover.
Eric provided me with a sketch of how the new design of the sprinkler heads would be laid out, as well as a bid that was not only reasonable, but accurate. The work was completed in a timely manner and he communicated the scheduling and the progress of the project.
When the work was completed he educated me on the new design by walking me through each sprinkler zone and demonstrating how to operate the controller. In addition, he was readily available for any questions I had about reprogramming my controller weeks after the project was completed.
He also reminded me that all of this work comes guaranteed. I give this company a high recommendation and would definitely use them again. Thank you!

Eric is such a great person and really knowledgeable. Although we didn’t hire him because the leaking system was on my neighbors system we will definitely hire him in the future. Thank you Eric!

I’ve used Eric twice and can’t say enough about him and his small team. He’s knowledgable, works hard and quickly and respects the pocketbook. He pointed out some easy fixes that I could save money by doing myself, but tackled the bigger issues, such as new heads and electrical connections fast and affordably. He’s in my speed dial. This initial review will have to be quick but I promise to expand and add some pictures soon. Basically, I had, or thought I had an irrigation specialist lined up to come in and convert a rather large and convoluted system to a more manageable drip system to compliment the new landscaping aimed at replacing older water hungry plants and shrubs with drought resistant native plants. The date had been set, all of the other contractors were on board and we launched into a very ambitious project on Monday (10÷07÷13). Everything was moving smoothly until our irrigation contractor suddenly dropped out. What? I was stunned. All of the other work i.e. hardscape, lighting and lightscaping and nursery stock was lined up and ready to roll. After hours of research and phone calling (read: begging) I was able to speak to Eric, the owner of Go With the Flow Irrigation. I explained my dilemma and he agreed to come over and look at the situation that same afternoon. Not only was Eric prompt and confident, he said that he’d quote the job and get the essential work done the very next day so my project could continue on schedule. It involved tearing out tons of PVC and removing dozens of sprinkler heads to make way for stone paths and sidewalks. But Eric and crew did an amazing job.
And here’s the real kicker!!! The very first thing Eric handed me that morning was the City of Austin rebate form for irrigation so we could save a few hundred bucks. Not only did Eric do us a huge favor by squeezing us in, do amazing work quickly and efficiently but he designed a great system off of our plan.
Can’t wait to see this done… It has been a long and involved process, but the end result will be a beautiful, peaceful space. THANKS ERIC!!!

Eric was absolutely fantastic. Our sprinkler system was leaking constantly onto the sidewalk when not in use. I figured some pipe was broken and it would be a complicated repair. One call to Eric, I answered a few questions, and he pretty much figured out the problem over the phone. No broken pipe, just a quick fix involving a valve that we needed to replace. We set up an appointment and he was there on time. After performing the service, Eric went on to make sure the rest of the irrigation system in our yard was working properly, that there were no issues with heads clogged that would drip to the side or not spray correctly, that coverage was appropriate, etc. Eric made an adjustment here and there, gave me some hints on proper maintenance, and even introduced me to some new and efficient spray nozzles that would do a better job of conserving water while covering the whole yard, including a dry patch or two that were being missed by the current design. I would recommend him 110%.

So I see these green spots in my dying yard. Not allowed to use my sprinklers due to drought, so why are these areas green? Leaks and broken pipes. Eric, bless his heart came out and fixed it all, quickly and cleanly and then checked the rest of the system. No more leaks and now things are ready to go. He also showed me how to fix some problem areas when we get to use it again. Thanks, Eric!

These guys did an outstanding job for me.
I hired them to extend my irrigation system to my back yard, adding 5 more zones. Eric met with me after work one day and walked through the project with me, giving me tips and suggestions before I’d even told him enough to put a bid together.
It turned out that this was not an easy job, due to a large amount of limestone, and lots of rocks too. (Yes, that’s a joke. Yes, I know most people just think I don’t know what limestone is. Yes, I still think it’s funny.) Even when it rained on us half-​way through the job, he maintained his commitment to Doing Things Right. That’s a huge, huge plus for me.
I would highly recommend Go With The Flow to take care of any irrigation needs you, your brother, your mother or your best friend might have.

About a week ago or so, I decided to shop around for an irrigation service and repair business to help with my yard. The weather was killer hot that week and my lawn wasn’t getting good moisture coverage because I started noticing dead grass spots and dry patch problems in my yard. My lawn sprinkler system needed a good service.
I decided to call Go With The Flow Irrigation because they offer a $ 60 deal for a system check with a consolation and diagnosis of the system. Basically I got an idea of what was going on with my sprinkler irrigation problems without committing to a minimum service call charge at a high rate.
The owner, Eric, came out and clearly explained how the design of my sprinkler system and coverage of the sprinkler heads didn’t have an accurate spray pattern which left my yard with dead spots and patches.
He went on to explain the issues of the system’s poor coverage and easily described each issue had its own solution.
I think some people don’t care about their sprinkler system coverage or what kind of adjustments are needed to fix the issues and problems. They just want it repaired quickly and not to take up too much of their time. Me on the other hand, found it awesome that Eric took time to explain how the system worked and how I needed to arrange the sprinkler heads and design the layout to fit the yard and solve the issues with my patchy grass.
I scheduled an appointment to have him come back and integrate his new design layout in my yard. A few days later after moving a few sprinkler heads and changing out a few nozzles, the new design layout gave my yard the coverage it needed to get enough water to the dry patches and problem areas that weren’t getting proper irrigation before. Within weeks my grass was restored to a nice, full green lawn.
Long story short, Eric’s knowledge and patience really set him apart for me. Go With the Flow was awesome and it was refreshing to find a company with that personal touch often missing in the service industry. He gave me knowledge into my sprinkler system and the physics behind designing them.

I truly couldn’t be happier. I found Eric on Unilocal looking for a new irrigation contractor. It was a fairly big job: completely uprooting my existing drip lines, re-​laying them, installing a new controller and tuning up the sprinklers spread out over 4 visits. Eric (owner of the company) came out to our house, evaluated the problem (foundation movement due to soil expansion/​contraction), and installed an irrigation system to resolve it. Since his installation, we’ve experience no settling cracks. None. This is remarkable, because in the nearly 10 years of living in the 85-​year-​old house, you could set your watch to the appearance of settling cracks, they’ve been so frequent. But despite the quality, care, and intelligence that characterized Eric’s approach to our situation, even better were our interactions with him. He’s not even thirty, yet his professionalism, wisdom, patience (we asked lots of dumb questions!) and overall demeanor made him so easy to talk to, and frankly, immensely likable. I would recommend him unconditionally to anyone who has drainage and/​or irrigation needs (including sprinkler systems, of course).

The owner is very curtious and professional. Eric is the owner and operator. He designed my sprinkler system and started the work without a down payment. Once the work was underway I started to write checks for materials as they were installed. The design was up to code and very modern using the latest in water saving efficient heads and proper gauged piping to maintain pressure. He brought in skilled help when necessary. I would have no problems giving him unfettered access to my home and property and he befriended my neighbors. Truely a delight to see the effort and professionalism so lost on the larger companies.
