Hobby Lobby

I asked the lady in fabric if she could help me with a bolt and she asked why I couldn’t do it myself. Shocked, I still told her that I wasn’t allowed to lift for at least a week due to a surgery. She began questioning what type of surgery and went on to tell me that her friend had that surgery and she could lift things right after. I told an older male manager about the issue and he asked me what I wanted him to do about it. I was speechless. Corporate should look into the management and customer service here.

The custom framing department here is awesome. The team they have is just fantastic. Whether you work with Chemoe, John, or Daniel; these guys are very friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and caring. They are certainly the safe pair of hands when turning over your valuable picture, poster, or art to have custom framed. I’ve had numerous jobs done here, and I’ve been extremely pleased with the work these guys do. A few of them have worked at art galleries before landing at Hobby Lobby, so they know what they are doing. Before going to Hobby Lobby, I called around various custom framing businesses around Austin, and they were significantly more expensive than Hobby Lobby. I feel really lucky to have found these guys. I highly recommend this store, and don’t forget to print out your 40% coupon when it’s time to pay. It will save you 40% off the glass.

This place is so large it’s ridiculous. I like their selection but finding help can be hard and NONE of the isles are marked so you have to wander around until you find an employee only for them to lead you to the opposite end of the store. Sadly I was too far from a Michael’s but still it’s better than WalMart.

Hobby Lobby has just about anything you would need for arts & crafts. It can be a little difficult to navigate the huge store to find what you are looking for — and staff is always in short supply — but they do have a wide selection of ready made crafts for décor. I like how they display finished projects at the beginning and end of the components aisles for each craft. Prices are higher than some other craft stores, but they have more finished crafts to purchase.

I like to shop at Hobby lobby. I was pretty happy with their items at good deals most of time. I kind of sense that their customer service isn’t great, but didn’t bother me too much until today.
I purchased a few items this morning but didn’t check the receipt until I got home later. As usual, I went over my receipt and found there was one item that charged twice. It was clearance item so the price ending was unique. It was pretty obvious the cashier accidentally registered twice. But it was only $ 2.57. I debated by myself whether I should call the store to see if what they could do or forget it. I decided to call, and the answer I got was I needed to come to the store with the receipt along all the items I shopped today. Then they would review if they made a mistake or not. That was fair enough, but I had to go there the same day I shopped. Hello??? You made a mistake and I have to drive 10 miles again in a round trip hauling my two grumpy toddlers to get my money back? Seriously??? That is ridiculous. What is the point? It would have been more loss for me to drive there to get it straight. I rather give up the money because my time and effort worth a lot more than 3 dollars.
I would be happy if they give me more time like a week or two, which I could stop by any time while I run other errands in that area. But the same day DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE. I guess that is their policy based on their perception about their customers (that they have plenty of time to waste) and that is too bad. Bad customer relations!
I really want to say I WONT SHOP there anymore, but unfortunately I can’t. But I definitely should check the receipt thoroughly before I leave the store or watch if cashiers check out the items correctly. I also strongly recommend you should check your receipt before you leave. I know some people drive 1 – 2 hours to shop here. You don’t want to come back for what they have done wrong.

It’s my own fault… I guess I still haven’t learned my lesson when it comes to the poor customer service at this Hobby Lobby location. Who knew they couldn’t scan their own products to find out the price? I would say never again but nothing beats a 100% discount~ Wait, good customer service does! Won’t be back again.

Very good customer service! I had a product that ruined a project, I called the company of the product and they refused to help me. I went to Hobby Lobby to see if they could help me (even though they didn’t have to) and they helped me get the project taken care of! They were soooo sweet and helpful, I’m so grateful for the manager who helped me today

HUGE store! Craft heaven. So much to see, you could spend hours in the store just looking at all of the items in stock. They have a large selection of decorative items for the home, including: furniture, mirrors, wall art, vases, and pillows. You will easily become inspired to decorate by looking around and you’re bound to find what you need in such a large craft store.
Plenty of parking, clean, organized, and extremely friendly workers. You have my business Hobby Lobby!

Hobby lobby, you just keep doing what you do best by keeping my wife happy and busy;) I am very grateful for the variety of craft items sold under one roof. My sexy lady can usually find everything she needs in one shopping trip. I would have given this 5 stars however my one complaint is that the prices aren’t always the best in town. We appreciate the convenience however and will forever be costumers.

What would I do without Hobby Lobby to fill ALL my crafting, the grandkids’ crafting and hobby needs? I totally redid an ancient doll house that had been sitting in a garage and turned into a sparkling new toy for my granddaughter — from flooring to wall coverings, furnishings, and paint to even little shrubs outside the house. My grandson got trains for Christmas and we designed and decorated a train table to run it on. From gifts to frames to yard décor and so many more things I know there’s one place I find them all — THIS Hobby Lobby. I wouldn’t miss their holiday sales!
Pick the time you go shopping and you’ll find there are plenty of times when the store is not crowded and there’s time to wander and look and find what you’re looking for. Leave your politics at the door and wear a smile on your face…you might just have a smile coming back to you.

Filthy store rude management beware don’t shop here ever

Yeah I’m pretty much over this place. I fancy myself a crafter (knitting, wood work, baking) and while Hobby Lobby does have a fine assortment of yarn and fabric, the overwhelming amount of crap in that place is just too extra for me. It shouldn’t be called Hobby Lobby, but instead Holy Moly There’s a Lot of Useless Nonsense in Here Lobby. There’s just too much to stomach and it makes shopping for actual crafting stuff hard. I dare anybody to try and convince me that a pink zebra ottoman is a hobby.
I also recently started a small holiday decorating business and there was just no way I was going back in there after the hullabaloo the company has been making over health care. I’m not into shopping at places that treat their employees like garbage in the name of some sort of morality clause, and would rather pay a little more and drive a little further to shop somewhere that is inclusive and decent to all people.

Hmm… there are a lot of negative reviews… but I have to say, I find Hobby Lobby a great stop for paints and canvas and sometimes I find fun accents for the home. There’s always a 40% off coupon, so the prices are cheap. Works for me.

Okay, I have given this business some of my business and each time the product I purchased was defected. The odds of purchasing something and having it defected shouldn’t be 100%. My first shopping experience at Hobby Lobby was very upsetting. I was getting married and needed some glass jars for our homemade spice rub that we were giving out to our guests. Hobby Lobby is near our home so it seemed like a logical place to purchase 100 jars. Four months before our wedding we pre-​ordered the eight ounce jars because Hobby Lobby didn’t have them in stock. They informed us we had to pre-​pay for the large order, who knew 100 jars was considered a large order and that it would take a week to arrive. We agreed and paid up front with the trust that a large company would deliver. Well, the week arrived and I called Hobby Lobby to find out if our pre-​pain order arrived. After talking with two clerks and the store manager who seemed to know nothing about our pre-​pain order assured me that it would be in the next shipment the following Tuesday. I had called on a Friday. So like a trusting customer I arrived on Tuesday and the store manager didn’t remember telling me that my order would be on the delivery truck. I asked the manager to verify that my order was even placed and they said the person who normally handles the shipping wasn’t in but that it would definitely be here on the Thursday. Needless to say this went on for three weeks until I was able to get a confirmation that our pre-​paid order was placed and would arrive on the next truck. Mind you, this is now one month into our original date of placing the order. So week five our pre-​paid order arrived! Yay! Unfortunately, my elation was brief. When we went to pick up our pre-​paid order thirty of the jars were broken or cracked. Thirty! Needless to say it took another two weeks to get the thirty bottles replaced, and ten of those bottles were broken. At that point my husband said, that’s it, after this fiasco never will we shop here again.
About a year later I needed some paint canvases for a gift to a coworker who paints. I had forgotten about picking them up so at the last minute I made a poor decision and went to Hobby Lobby the night before the party. About a month later I asked my coworker/​friend if she had painted anything on the canvases I gave her. A look for horror came over her face and she bowed her head and apologized for what she was about to tell me. Apparently, when she painted on the canvases the paint bled through and in some spots was runny. I purchased 3 large expensive canvases so I didn’t think they would be of poor quality. She asked me where I purchased them and when I told her Hobby Lobby she said that explains it. Nobody who is an artist buys their product because they sell deficient materials. I was embarrassed and she said don’t worry it was the thought that counted.
Fast forward another eight months and I have to buy some supplies for a chili cook-​off event and it’s the day before and once again I forgot to purchase some table decorations. So I head to Hobby Lobby for some decorations. Well the items I purchased were defective and I couldn’t use the items. I was so angry at myself for once again thinking Hobby Lobby was a good choice.
I can now honestly say my procrastination will not sway me to shop at Hobby Lobby ever again.

Sorry to kick a dead horse, but here it goes… I have to say something.
I was originally looking for a fabric store to find patches for my multiple pairs of work pants with blown out knees. The place I was looking for was out of business, and HL was just a few blocks away.
I don’t agree with HL politics, but I justified my visit due to the extra gas needed to go somewhere else. Additionally, I also kinda feel they have the right to run their business as they should — for better or worse…
This IS the place for crappy Chinese-​made home décor, with some genuine arts and crafts items here and there along the walls. I don’t know who I feel more sorry for — the Chinese folks that make this stuff for a few dollars a day, or the customers buying it.
And to kick a dead horse once again: Hobby Lobby sells this imported garbage, while at the same time claims to be a Christian company, not open on Sundays, etc. The irony is deafening…

Ugh Hobby Lobby. 7000 square feet of stuff. I love craftsy, artsy fartsy stuff as much as the next Pinterest addict but I’ll do everything in my power to avoid this place and shop elsewhere. And honestly, even though they have the most square footage they seem to have least of what I’m looking for. How does that work?
All made in China, of course, but they do have a lot of stuff-​seasonal stuff, craft stuff, sewing stuff, art stuff, you get the gist. If purchasing something at full price be sure to look up the 40% off coupon online, which they can conveniently use from any smartphone. Speaking of «they,» most of the employees are like the Walmart associates of the arts and crafts world-​bitter and unhelpful.

I have no idea why there’s like 6000 sq ft. of stuff in this store to make wreaths or whatever all that dried flower business is all about. Do people actually buy all this stuff?
If I need random crafty things (matte board, glue, paint, etc .), I’ll usually check Hobby Lobby since they seem to have some regular sales. However, for art supplies I’ll probably check Jerry’s first.

This place is like a museum of all things Tacky-​texan. It’s like Amy Sedaris’ «I Like You» meets crazy church lady. Here are the goods:
— Enough pink zebra décor to cover every 13-​year old girl’s bedroom, statewide.
— Any and every way to craft for Jesus
— Giant wagon wheel benches (perhaps made from all those abandoned conestogas in China)
— Christmas creep so bad, you can’t tell the difference between the after Christmas sale and the next season’s presale.
— An endless supply of «Happy Birthday Jesus» décor.
— Chess pieces that are larger than a cat. And it’s not like it’s one of those fun sets for your garden. I’m pretty sure these are for collecting dust next to your LCD TV.
— Wooden signs that say «Girls Night Out,» «Diva,» «Friendship,» hand-​painted by Chinese slaves.
— Lots of brown and gold items to match your «italian villa» Cedar Park McMansion.
— Mosaic goblet /​candleholders, usually with a brownish tint.
But don’t get me wrong, it’s not a total wasteland. In between the garbage, there are some decent things, like colored paper plates, fabric, and some colored art papers. I usually get good deals on Halloween costume supplies.
Also, everything appears to be on sale. But don’t be too excited, it’s classic mark-​up mark-​down. If you look on the tags, most items are specially made for the crafting empire.
It’s also closed on Sundays, because nothing makes God angrier than those who macramé on his day of rest.
Pro tip: avoid the ornament aisle during Thanksgiving weekend. That place is a minefield!

I’ve had it with HL. I went there because it was the closest craft store and paid the price. The employees are rude, brusque, and have very little knowledge regarding the items it the store.
I just went to their home page to see if they carried something and in bold letters: HE DIED. WE LIVE.
wtf. That is just creepy and they would do better if they kept that shit to themselves.

I end up going here at least once a month, from getting beads for my better halfs hobby or a can of spray paint. material for curtains or the like, yarn for knitting. Its all here and its usually inexpensive.
They have a huge section of treasure chests that I love, I wish I could buy a few dozen and hide them all over town lol.
There is artwork, and vases and nick nacks galore also, not thinks I would get but some good stuff.
My only Ugg thing about the place is it can be overly religious and right wing in some of the things I see and here.
