Business Owner

Jason Birdwell is musician, music teacher, social worker, and independent producer in Austin, TX. He specializes in equipping youth to express themselves through music and media, especially in the areas of faith, family and activism. He has been teaching for 8 years, working kids and teens with diverse backgrounds and needs.

He currently is the frontman for The Band in Black (www​.the​band​in​black​.com), a Johnny Cash-​style band with Texas attitude, as well as worship pastor at Red River Church (www​.redriver​church​.org) in Austin, TX.

Jason has performed live music in Austin in original projects (Atomic Alive, The Lindsay Wells Band, The Charla Corn Band, Three Year Charm and more), cover projects (The Band in Black, Acoustic Avenue, wedding/​dance). Jason has performed with acts such as Del Castillo, Earle Pool Ball, The Apologetix, Sounds Under Radio, Buzz Cason, Ember, and more.
