Kid Spa Austin

Not that impressed. Doesn’t appear to offer any advantage over any other drop in daycare with the exception of the outdoor playground.
We decided to go with Children’s Learning Adventure instead.

I am new to Austin and a relative found Kid Spa for me. My 4 ½ year old had no experience with day care and really had had very little opportunity to spend time with other children. He loved it from day one. He usually goes every day M-​F and frequently complains «Why did you come for me so soon?» Ms. Heather has worked with him from the start and she has been great! Since he hadn’t been around other children much, he has had some socialization issues, plus everything that has happened with our move has been disrupting, but he is doing great. His behavior both while at Kid Spa as well as at home has improved tremendously. So glad we found Kid Spa.

We had a wonderful first experience at Kid Spa. I was really worried about dropping her off for the very first time, and everyone was super sweet about it. Our teacher Mrs. Alona was great with Gwen. Alona helped Gwen be ok without mommy for the first time. Everything looked clean and very well kept. This is a wonderful solution when you need childcare for just a few hours. We will absolutely be back!

We love Kid Spa. It’s a massive, massive help. When you need a quick solution for your kids — it’s totally affordable. It’s a sincere life saver. Cannot say enough good things.

I absolutely LOVE this place. My kids think it’s a treat when we go, and I can drop in when I have a last minute appointment (or if I just need a couple hours to myself!). I know my kids are in good hands. And even though we’re not there every day or even every week, the staff knows my kids by name right when we walk in. We’re about to move, and I seriously don’t even know what I’ll do without these guys. Open one up in Dripping Springs please (or even Bee Caves– I would totally drive over to Bee Caves)!!

My 3.5 year old son loves going to Kid Spa. He attends 4 days a week and really enjoys the teachers and the activities offered. The educators vary in their individual styles but that doesn’t stop the team from really complimenting each other. I love the updates I get about my sons performance — where he shines and where he may need extra attention. He is excited when he walks in and often exhausted when we get home — which is a treat for us because bedtime is a breeze!
We’re from New England where there is no such thing as «drop-​in» daycare. This is my favorite aspect of Kid Spa! Naturally, it’s amazing for a date night. I can bring jammies for both of our kids and know that, though we’ll be picking them up past bedtime, they’re probably asleep or resting with their small group of «date-​night» friends.
***As much as I love Kid Spa for the occasional date night — they have been my saving grace for emergencies on more than one occasion. If you take 1 spouse who is away on business, 2 ambitious toddlers, and 1 «emergency» (you can choose from a slammed finger in the door, suspicious ear infection, or lingering bronchial issue with fever), all at bedtime — you’ll NEED Kid Spa. The last time this happened I literally BOLTED into the front door of Kid Spa and, upon seeing me, one of the managers said «Why are you back?! What’s wrong?!» Before I could even say «He slammed his brother’s finger in the door jam» Rowan was taking my ton into her arms and telling me not to worry just to «go, go, go» and they took care of checking him in and getting him settled while I ran off to Urgent Care with the toddler. Saving. Grace. Being worried about one injured baby is terrible. The only thing that lessened my anxiety that night was knowing that I had zero worries about my other both because he was being taken care of by a group of educators that truly care about him, his well being, and that of my family. I truly appreciate their structure and what they can offer to this community. So, even if you had a wonderful school for your kids, consider enrolling at Kid Spa on the off chance you need some last minute help!

This place has saved my life – always clean and well-​ordered and my 4 year old loves it. I love that they have their own enclosed playground AND the provide a lunch or dinner if you need your little one to stay later than 5:30.
Ms Heather, who teaches the 3 and 4 year olds does a GREAT job. We look forward to seeing her when we’re there.

I highly recommend Kid Spa as a drop-​in daycare. My daughter started coming here as her first daycare at 18 months. The staff was very understanding and accommodating from the very beginning. They comforted her throughout her adjustment with separation anxiety and being around new kids. Everyone is really nice and knew my daughter well. It’s been 6 months now, and my daughter loves being here and looks forward to going to school. I’m sad to leave this month because we’re moving. If you’re looking for a nice drop-​in daycare for your kids, consider Kid Spa.

LOVE KidSpa at Avery Ranch. It is amazing! The staff there is attentive to my son and me. I feel like they all take time to know him personally and not only care for him but help him grow. He loves the schedule because it is very organized even with a lot of little ones around. He is always excited to go because he knows he is loved and cared for, which gives me a HUGE sense of peace. Love it!

I love this place I know my kids will be safe there and it’s also clean and organized with everything !! my 4 year old and 2 year old love going to kids spa there always so excited to go play and see new friends. My 4 year old goes to pre school classes there and it’s amazing !

My son loves it. The director is very friendly and runs a nice clean facility. The staff members are wonderful. I have zero issues with dropping off my son. They are very understanding of kids, are thoughtful and want to make sure they enjoy their stay. My son is now attending the preschool.
It’s also reasonably priced.

My husband and I just took our daughter here for a little tour and to see the facility for ourselves. I must say, I’m really impressed with the staff, the facility, and all that Kid Spa has to offer. My daughter loved it there, and the prices are absolutely reasonable (you get what you pay for, right?). We will definitely be signing up our daughter to attend Kid Spa!

I won’t repeat what the other excellently detailed reviews have stated but I agree wholeheartedly. My wife and I were wary of drop in daycare, but this is not that kind of place at all. It’s more like a well organized preschool, but during perpetual recess with tons of cool toys. The staff are educated (some with master’s or early childhood degrees), professional, and highly responsive… and above all focused on the kids. My kids are the final vote though and every time I pick them up they ask when they can go back. So grateful to have this excellent facility in out community.

We LOVE Kid Spa Avery Ranch! Our son started attending this summer while we were working on some «stinky» home improvement projects — we were hooked.
The level of care is so much more than just «watching the kids» — they have theme activities, lots of different centers and a calm energy to keep kids moving and having fun without getting stuck in a rut. The lively and engaging story times are a highlight (I watched one day while the Spa Kid staffer held the attention of a gaggle of kids, it was impressive.) All the team members I have met are moms — and they take that caring approach when working with the kids. My son comes away with a new story, and a lot of smiles when we pick him up.
The flexibility of the hours is a benefit because now we do not have to scramble to find a movie time that fits with a kids-​night-​out that has fixed hours.
Would highly recommend Kid Spa.

My son and I absolutely loved this place. It’s so nice when I need to meet a client on a short notice I can just drop him off for a few hours. What a great place to drop-​off your little one when you have errands, freelance work, or when you’re in need of a break or date night. You can even register and drop-​off your child on the same day! Since they are still rather new, you don’t have to call them in advance. You can just hand your kid over without worrying that they are over capacity. The rates aren’t that bad all and you can buy packages that lowers the hourly rate.
Since my toddler is fearless and climbs on everything, I was pleasantly surprised that their outdoor playscape has no openings except for the steps and slides so she’ll be more safe on it and be able to explore and have fun with her little friends.
The teachers and staff are very friendly and informative which leaves me very satisfied with the care they are providing me.

So, I have been using KidSpa for so long they want to change my sons picture (I guess he isn’t 3 anymore :(I would use the one South (Circle C area) until I moved North. My son loves Kidspa and in fact will not agree to go to the other drop in care (Wanna Play)
*What to Expect: They are always clean, I have never walked in and the place been a wreck, and with a bunch of kids, I would expect that.
–They do a movie every night in the theatre. They will provide meals (at a cost) and snacks. You must bring a water bottle or get the $ 1 charge for them to provide a bottle of water. Some nights they roll out the candy cart. My son LOVES this and I wish they did it more. He can pick like 5 full size candies for $ 3.50 and on nights he isn’t wanting to leave me this is a nice bribe. ha!
I know some folks are lucky enough to have family in town, but many of us don’t and we need our date nights! This is a great solution if you don’t have a go to babysitter! And honestly, I think my son prefers this to a babysitter because 1) New environment and 2) other kids! As far as drop in playcares this is the best we have been! Give it a shot!

If you’re a parent of a kid (ages 18 mos to 12 yrs) and have never considered using a drop-​in childcare place, why not? Maybe you are lucky enough to have lots of family nearby eager to pitch in when you need help? Perhaps you are a lucky 1%er and have a live-​in nanny to assist when you have no-​kids-​allowed appointments? Could it be that you don’t believe in dating after marriage?
Well, I’m none of the above, and I have to say that Kid Spa Austin (KSA) works great for our family. Our 1^st grader loves coming to KSA, primarily because he gets to play Wii games on one of their 6 different game stations or educational computer games on one of their 6 different PC stations — screen time at our house is limited, so he thinks KSA is akin to a trip to the arcade. We parents love KSA because they are highly organized & professional, accessible to our neighborhood, and have a very streamlined check-​in/​out process.
I should add, KSA also has a great playscape for outdoor play if your child is there during daylight hours. Our boy always finds a playmate or two around his age and they have a blast out there. Other amenities include a movie room and separate age-​appropriate indoor play areas for different age groups, plus seasonal holiday themed activities & crafts. You can bring your own meals, or let KSa provide them for a small fee.
The KSA payment process works similarly to other drop-​in care places where you buy a block of hours in advance. The more hours you buy, the better the hourly rate, getting as low as $ 6.50 per hour. I love this system because I don’t have to worry about having cash on hand when I pickup, and the hourly rate is wayyy better than what I pay when I have a sitter come to my home.
KSA doesn’t meet *all* of our needs, in that they are closed on Sundays. However, they are open until 12:30a on Friday and Saturday nights, very nice when an evening event requires a late pickup time, or to allow for the 30 – 40 minute drive back over there from downtown Austin.
Pro Tips:
— Don’t forget to bring a drink container or bottled water for your big kids. KSA will charge you $ 1 for one of theirs.
— No nuts allowed.
— Fill out the registration paperwork in advance online to save time at your first drop-​off.
— Allow time for post-​pickup froyo at Orange Leaf next door, or plan your dinner date right in the same complex (The League, Tony C’s, Z’Tejas are all in the area).

I am sooo thankful to have found this place. I am a woman is constantly juggling many things in my life (aren’t we all?), and sometimes mommy just needs a break. So when I’m headed to the spa, my kid is headed to Kid Spa.
The facility is brand new. It is set up so you can see most areas easily from the entry. I like that the changing table is in full view area. My daughter’s safety is of utmost importance. It is decorated in bright colors and very clean. They also have some fantastic fingerprint technology to check your kid in or out. Let me tell ya, no one is kidnapping your kid from this place. Oh! I almost forgot, they have a playscape too. So the kids can go outside and play when it’s nice. One other nice touch I like is that each time, tucked in my bag is a «report card.» It tells me all the activities my daughter participated in, when her diaper was checked, if it was clean or dirty, what she ate, and what she enjoyed playing with that day.
