There is no storefront. Please read: Knife Party is a mobile commercial, corporate, and residential sharpening service operated by Devin James Fry in Austin, TX. Mr. Fry specializes in medical and veterinary surgical equipment but can sharpen most anything. There is no storefront. Calls, texts, and emails to knifepartysharpening@​gmail.​com will be returned promptly between 10am and 6pm.

Business customers are encouraged to contact Mr. Fry directly. Residential customers may visit the Knife Party booth at the Downtown SFC Market on Saturdays 9am-​1pm. Market customers: if sheathes are not available, wrap knives in a towel for safety. Most orders take under 30 minutes.

Mr. Fry uses a slow, precise, wet-​grind sharpening system and a variety of hand stones and files to safely pinpoint the angle needed on each blade and make it keen. Includes serrated knives.

He totally saved my grandma’s 100 years old knives. Also my Japanese fabric scissors that nobody else in US could sharpen right but Devin. If you are looking for sharpening your serious tool, he is the one who you can trust for sharpening.

Devon was great. He responded in a timely manner to our phone call so we could figure out his locations on the weekend. We saw him at the HOPE Farmer’s Market on a Sunday. Our knives were sharpened to perfection… probably sharper than when originally purchased!

Forget about a certain knife sharpening institution on Burnet road… This mobile sharpening expert is where you take your knives in Austin. Devin whipped out two of the sharpest knives I’ve ever used in no time. I’m now sitting in my kitchen laughing while slicing through potatoes with ease. It doesn’t hurt that he’s a really nice dude too, and seems to really care about his craft and customer.

I was in a jam and Devon saved the day! I have a pair of couturier scissors that I’ve had for 35 years. I was working on Christmas gifts and down to the last bit of cutting when I got the hairbrained idea that I could sharpen them. Wrong! I thought I had completely ruined the blades! They wouldn’t cut a thread! I called Devon and he was working a farmers’ market and would be available until 7pm. I sent my husband rushing over there and it took Devon 25 minutes to reshape and sharpen the edges. They cut like new!!! Wow! Only $ 25, too! Best deal ever! Thanks, Devon!

Devin is a chill dude who does excellent work for a very reasonable price. I brought my Emperor Steel blades to him and he did a fantastic job; he also sharpened a bread knife I had, the loopy serrated edge that takes individual sharpening on each tooth. And lastly he brought to point a relatively cheap steel blade I had purchased for my wife at HEB, and it is now my go to sous knife in the kitchen. Knife sharpening means kitchen safety, so it’s important, especially if you have dropped a dime on your knives, or you were gifted great knives like I was. Devin is the guy to bring them to. i brought them to his mobile shop at the Sunday Farmers market at Comal and 5th street.

A friend and I took our knives to Devin, the Knife Party sharpening guru, at the HOPE farmers market on Sunday. Awesome results! Devin was super nice, definitely knows his craft, and sharpened all of our knives, including serrated, in about half an hour. His prices were very reasonable, worth every penny. I highly recommend him!!!

Just had a butcher block of knives sharpened by John at the Sunset Valley Farmer’s Market and they are oh so sharp now! One of the knives cut through a tough flank steak like it was butter. We will definitely continue using them to sharpen our kitchen and switchblade knives. Excellent job and they obviously take pride in their work. Reasonable too.

The Knife Party! boys worked a large, joint clothing swap and knife sharpening event my friends and I hosted. They did a fantastic job of sharpening everything from pocket knives and kitchen knives to hatchets and swords (including a6-​foot katana!), and they worked tirelessly for hours.
Guests ended up congregating around the Knife Party! setup to chat with this jovial and entertaining duo, and everyone left happy with the quality of service they received.

My husband and I enjoying cooking at home and sharp knives are essential for making good food more easily. I had bough a Chefs Choice 110 some time ago and it was ok. When a friend told me about Knife Party I wanted to see if they would be better than what I can do at home.
What a difference.
They sharpened my chef’s knives, paring knives, but they also sharpened my bread knife and utility scissors. I have really noticed a difference in the performance of my knives.
They live down the street from us in Hyde Park and were very professional, very reasonably priced, and kinda cute to boot. It’s great they can come to you. You just give them your knives, they take them outside to their equipment so you don’t have to hear any loud knife sharpening.
I’m gonna call them up to see if they can sharpen my lawn mower and my Felco garden shears.

These guys are great. My only other knife sharpening experience has been taking my sewing shears up to The Knife Sharpist on Burnett, who did an okay job but was creepy in that survival enthusiast sort of way. But these guys are so friendly and polite. They really take their time and do a thorough job so it’s a long time before my shears are dull again. And they can sharpen pretty much anything, so they do my lawn mower blade and garden tools, too. I don’t know why you would do anywhere else, especially because you don’t actually have to go anywhere.

OK, so I’m a dude. I carry a pocket knife around. It comes in handy when shotgunning beers or cleanly cutting a wristband off so you can transfer it to somebody else. But I never really thought much about keeping it sharp. Used to be I would just buy a new pocket knife when mine went dull. Used to be… until I heard Knife Party was throwing, well, a knife sharpening party. Took my knife, got it sharpened. These guys are good. I watched them sharpen scissors, some sort of sword, kitchen utensils, and lots more. Plus they are really friendly guys. I won’t trust my knife sharpening duties to anyone else.
