Specialties
Teaching piano lessons fills my days with joy. I love teaching children and
introducing them to the joy of music. In my studio, I tailor lessons
to a child’s learning style. I enjoy making lessons a fun and exciting
event of the week by incorporating educational games and manipulatives
into each lesson. In my experience, the best lessons and playing
happen when we are having the best time. My goal is for lessons to be
enjoyable and relevant for each child. I look forward to developing a
relationship with your child that fosters a love for music and
develops into a journey that progresses from playing ‘Twinkle Twinkle
Little Star’ to Mozart sonatas.

Business Owner
I have managed my private piano studio, teaching ages three and older for seven years. While working on my BA, I studied piano with Dr. Beth Quillian (DBU), David Renner (UT) and Sheila Paige (Taubman instructor). My studies with Dr. Quillian and Sheila Paige included the Taubman method, which helps pianists overcome injuries from improper playing and emphasizes pain free playing. Professionally, I am an active member of the Heart of Texas Suzuki Organization, serving as secretary and president elect, as well as a member of the Austin District Music Teachers Association (ADMTA) and Music Teachers National Association. I currently teach in the North Austin area.
