I don’t know about the lunch Buffett but I came for dinner and get chicken tikka masala and it might be the best I have ever had!

Over the latest MLK holiday, I was out shopping the local international food marts and saw the South Asian cusine sign from the road. Sounded enticing and didn’t disappoint. I ordered the chicken byrani and the chicken kabob. I didn’t opt for the buffet although it looked wonderful. The byrani was sooo dammed good… spicy, flavorful, extremely tender dark meat chicken on the bone. The portion was so much, I actually got three meals out of it… and each time a delight to the senses. Glad I stumbled upon this one!

Absolutely pathetic food. Definitely not going again. The chefs have no clue about the items they make. We ordered about 14 – 15 items and most of them had no resemblance of what they are actually meant to be. One of the dishes was just a pot of oil. Worst decision of the new year so far. Save your money and there are a few other decent indian restaurants in the area. Service was pathetic and they kept messing up the order, placing food in different spots. The kids food came in last. Can go on and on, but its just a waste of my time. Unfortunately, we headed this way only because another of our favorite restaurant was closed.

Lamb/Goat biryani was awesome. It is not available on demand though. Some of the other dishes on menu were also very good. Overall Food and service is great. I hope they would start serving all the dishes on their menu…

I work during holidays as a dispatcher, so when ever you or a family member has something happen on a holiday… Im there. I am on the phone 24⁄7 and usually dont take lunches on a busy shift. So I know my go tos are always take out indian buffet, I dont have to wait or inhibit my phone line placing an order. I run in on my 15 minute break and go. I wasted my time coming in here, as they have a lunch buffet. But would not let me take a togo order. They told me I could order off the menu but even though the buffet was out… I could not. Not that they had any customers, so I went over to my regular indian Dawaat. Which caters to busy holiday workers, and it showed, they had customers like me getting to go orders and a full buffet.

The food here is terribly spicy and they live up to their name! We were a group of 6 and we were all sweating cuz of the spice! The nihari is really bland, the mix grill is good but again very spicy. The goat curry was really good. The chicken biryani was great too except it had many tiny pepper in it!

$ 7.95 lunch buffet and we found everything hot, fresh and friendly service. $ 7.95! What a deal. Our tip to the owners is roll up the window shades after you open. Five stars for value

Fabulous Kabobs! Went for dinner with family. Salman was really kind and welcoming. He gave us correct time estimation of delivery of kabobs as it indeed takes sometime to make it fresh. I would like to specially mention about Chicken Tikka leg, Mutton Paya and Paratha which stood out to be the best. If they are consistent in their recipe and taste then I am sure these guyz will top in Austin one day.

I ordered appetizer & entrée together, so they could start off with the appetizer. However that was not the case, the appetizer took awhile to come & it wasn’t pipping hot that it should have taken so long. Immediately Followed by my entrée which was ok. I ordered paneer tikka masala & garlic naan. The naan was a bit crunchy :((& didn’t get much of a garlic taste to it. The paneer tikka masala lacked a bit of salt & taste. Who serves curry without rice? It needs to be added on the menu!!! The gentleman with a beard was very nice, prompt & good service.

Visited for lunch 30 min before the buffet closed. Everything was still piping hot and very delicious. Didn’t try the dessert or any of the rice. Noodles were aldente which was fine for me but I’m not a big fan of non-Indian food at Indian restaurants anyways. Daal was spectacular, so were all sabjis. I’ll definitely be visiting again. $ 7.99 for a buffet? Can’t beat that with a stick!

Worst buffet in Austin. Went to Mirchi with Lot of expectations however it was really disappointing. No much options in buffet. Veg people don’t waste time here. All food items were cold(at room temperature). Noodles & rice were not cooked properly. Water glasses were stinky I hate this place.

Very clean, $ 7.99 for the lunch buffet and beverage on Saturday, very attentive. They even brought out fresh naan to our table even though they had it on the buffet. Every dish was very flavorful, with well balanced spicing and steaming hot.

This was the first time here, and this was during there first week. Nice buffet with some growing pains. Worth trying, I am sure they will improve.

I waltzed my ass into here around 1140 on a hump day afternoon. I was the only customer. They had the buffet set up for $ 7.99. It looked and smelled delicious, but, I just can’t dig buffets. I asked if I could order from their menu and they said yes, no problem. Cool. Immediately after being seated the waitress brings me a carafe of water and a fresh salad. As I sat reading the menu I started wondering where the customers were. I mean it’s almost high noon and I’m the only one dining. That is never a good sign. Given the fact it smelled so damn good I wasn’t about to leave. I liked how the menu was layed out. Apps; Wraps; Soup; Rice; Grill & Tandoor; Curries; Vegetables; Bread; Desserts; Drinks; Kids; Sunday Special. Simple and easy. My waiter comes over and I begin to order. I asked for the chicken lollipops for my appetizer and he says«they’re not ready yet». «Oh». «Well, how about these pastry things?», I asked. Again I got a «no». Suddenly he says«let me show you what is ready». Turns out a few appetizers and a couple of the main entrees. Apparently the full menu isn’t available for lunch. :( Not to worry though. In a place like this I know I’m gonna find something that I like. I did Chicken Wings for my appetizer and Chicken Tikka Boti Masala for my main course with Paratha Naan. I couldn’t wait to begin my feast. As I sat waiting I finished my salad and really wished I had a glass of red to go with the Masala dish. That would’ve been swell. Food took 25 minutes to come out, but, I really didn’t mind because that tells me they are cooking that shit fresh. :) My salad was nice, chilled, fresh and full of cucumbers and onions and lettuce. Not just all lettuce like you mostly get at the majority of places. Big score on the salad. The appetizer and main course came out together. Sigh. I got six wings for $ 7. My waiter was worried that the wings would be too spicy for me! Ha! I was like, «Dude, I can fart ghost peppers!». «Bring it!». They were deliciously covered in Tabasco(which had some added kick) and were meaty and juicy. I was thinking«How the Hell do these guys know about Tabasco wings?». Good job on the wings! I have a new wing stop now! The Chicken in the Masala was Boti. I guess that means the meat came from the thighs and drumsticks. I’d believe that because it wasn’t all dried out like regular Tikka Masala can be because it is breast meat. I could be confused here, but, I am still educating myself with the wonders of Pakistani and Indian Cuisine. Excellent Masala dish. Finger licking good it was indeed. Paratha Naan is probably my favorite of the Naans and this one here did not disappoint. Wasn’t the best I’ve had, but, I wouldn’t turn it down. Ever. This place was really clean and everyone was really nice and I sweated like a pig. If ever I am tempted to try a buffet I do believe I would get here promptly at 1100(when they open) and try this one. The reason I say that is because on my visit I was like their first customer and I got there shortly after 1140. Can’t wait to go back and try more of their dishes. Maybe once they get established they’ll be able to open the full menu during lunch. Keeping fingers crossed.

I was super disappointed in this place, when I went it was buffet only for lunch, although the website didn’t say that. I was looking forward to trying the Butter Masala, but that was not offered on the buffet only. There was the tikka masala and I was not really impressed by that. The nann was a little too over cooked, I like them more on the fluffy side. The lunch buffet was limited and expensive for lunch for not having that many options. The restaurant is new and very clean for now. It has been posted to open soon for a very long time, but when it finally opened I was not impressed and I won’t be coming back or recommend it.

Been here a few times now. Have only ordered a la carte so basing review on that and not the lunch buffet which I have not seen or tried. All the Pakistani dishes are legit. Karahi was bomb. Biryani was good. The usual safe choices — butter chicken and tikka masala has a pakistani twist to it. Some may be surprised as they differ quite significantly from other Indian places but I enjoyed them. No paratha yet for the wraps, only naan. Speaking of naan, it was good too. Not including rice with dishes and paying $ 4 extra for plain white rice is a sour point. Perhaps include two rice size options…$ 2 for small/individual size, $ 4 for regular. Anyway, Mirchi doesn’t close the void left after Chapli Kabab’s closing but I’m happy to have this as an alternative close to me.

I can’t comment on the food. We had to make an exit after three attempts to get some service. The place is run by highly distracted individuals who seem to be busy socializing with their ‘buddies’. We were not alone in our misery. our neighboring table(who had been waiting even longer than us), were also contemplating a quick exit. Too bad — the location and the menu looked good.

They only have Buffet at lunch time. The buffet selection is very limited. No appetizers. Although the buffet selection was limited the flavor was still there. I was literally able to try everything on the buffet due to the small selection. So prolly not go back unless they added more items to choose from. Still worth checking out.

So this fairly new place(open 17 days ago) is going to be our new favorite! We had the lunch buffet, which was absolutely fresh and so much flavor! A refreshing mango lassi yummmm and not too sweet. And now my other half wants me to make chai like Mirchi does!!! Well, easy peasy, because they are just around the corner from where we live. Just love love this place. We will definitely be back with our kids, even though it is quite spicy, they have some non spicy options too!

My friend and I rolled in there because the shady gas station guy across the street was talking it up. Big Mistake, I should have checked Unilocal, then I would see that there is a one star rating for this place. And rightly so. All the buffet food was cold(room temperature). I told the guy about it when he came by to check on us and he asked if we took from the top. I told him, I don’t think so, but that really shouldn’t matter. One of the chicken pieces taught me what a toddler’s tennis shoe must feel like when chewing on it. That sounds funny, but my stomach isn’t laughing. My gut biome is launching an attack on whatever was lurking in the depths of the sag aloo or whatever the eff that was I tried. He let us go without paying, so I wasn’t going to write a review. But, I must warn you. Stay away. unless you are looking to lose a quick 5 pounds for swimsuit season.
