MOSS Designer Consignment

This is a very well organized shop. Staff friendly. BUT, this is not the type of consignment boutique for someone who is looking to spend less than $ 150. It resales only highend designer clothing and shoes by top designers. Seems a little over priced. VERY EXPENSIVE.

Very nice consignment store for high end fashions. I’m a bargain shopper so Tradesy and The Real Real are typically cheaper comparatively for the bags, but they do have some one of a kind pieces as far as jewelry and clothing.

I’ve driven past this place for years and always thought it was a new clothing boutique. The window displays are perfectly styled with seasonal, on-​trend clothing, so how could you blame me? Turns out it’s a fantastic resale shop.
I would compare Moss to Wasteland in Los Angeles. Clean, well organized, full of great designer clothing. But Moss is even a little more upscale. The prices aren’t cheap (I ended up buying a like-​new Vince cashmere sweater for $ 85), but that’s because of how expensive many of their items were to start with. I saw pieces from ACNE, Vince, Kate Spade, Chanel, Bergdorf Goodman, and many more. The shoes on display were all clean and in great condition. They also had quite a few high-​end purses.
I noticed at least some of their price tags included scheduled mark-​downs. I’m not sure if that was across the board, but it was true for most of the items I looked at. Items that had been marked down had the price highlighted in red and were, for the most part, scattered throughout the racks.

The staff, clients and clothes are all truly lovely. The ladies have helped select my rehearsal dinner and wedding attire. I will be forever thankful! Fashion lovers of Austin and beyond, please benefit yourself and pay them a visit.

I stopped in on a whim and had a great experience. I am usually more of a thrift store shopper (the dress I wore in cost $ 0.40 at a church rummage sale) but if you enjoy higher end items this seems like a great place. The staff was very helpful and attentive, offering to start a fitting room for me even though I was just holding one item. The store is organized well and every item I looked at was in like new condition. I don’t ever buy brand name items of that tier, but the prices seemed very affordable compared to original retail. I may go back tomorrow and get the dress I wasn’t ready to buy today. Overall a fun afternoon shopping spot and a great find if you enjoy high end clothing.

My first time in– and my last. Maybe I have too many expectations, who knows. The store has great brands, I’ll give them that. That’s about where the compliments end. The store is unorganized. It’s arranged by color, not size. That makes it more time consuming to go through everything. That is annoying and not efficient. It’s a high end consignment store– every one I have been in to in NYC, Paris and Chicago are all organized by size. Like every clothing store on Earth. Then there was the wretched smell of freshly nuked food wafting through the place and about 5 different glasses of of water, tea and other beverages all over the front desk area– messy. No, you aren’t Neiman’s, by a long shot– but if you are attempting to attract a clientele for buying and selling that is– you might want to take a look at these things. I vote with my dollars and choose carefully where I spend my money. Based on several factors I unfortunately cannot and will not support Moss.

This place is my new favorite shop in Austin. All the pieces are beautifully curated, in great condition, and are reasonably priced. The women working there were very helpful and excited when I picked some of their favorite items! I’ll definitely be a regular before long.

Great place! Shopped here with my wife and she found some barely used designer deals. Sizes and condition were hit /​miss but still worth perusing the racks.

I’ve been to my fair share of consignment stores and find the clothing prices a little higher than what I’m used to but the quality is so much beyond what I expected. Flawless pieces, carefully curated. I’ve been a regular shopper for a year now and always make it my first stop for finds. I even shop for my mom and aunts here.

Randomly found myself here after stopping by the furniture store next door. What a find. I will be back. Beautiful stuff. The items are priced by date — most say by 2 months out it’ll be 50% off so. Depends on how much you want something right then. I will also def be back to look for stuff if I ever have a party to go to.

This store has some decent finds. Great labels and the owners clearly have a good eye. But I will never be giving them any of my money because quite simply, every time I’ve been in there, the staff is just plain snobby. I don’t know how else to describe the vibe that you get when you walk in but of the 4 times I’ve been in, all staff is very aloof and barely acknowleges your presence. In a town full of more and more high end stores, I’d much rather go somewhere where I feel valued as a customer and where staff actually wants to help their customers.

This place was a great find! Affordable, great condition designer clothes, shoes & bags which go down by the month if not purchased.
They carry an amazing selection of shoes & handbags.
If you’re looking for something special & fancy treating yourself without going over board I’d definitely take a trip down here. Staff are super friendly & helpful too

I still like to come by from time to time and check out what they have, but somehow their expansion has caused the curation to degrade a bit. I used to find a lot that I loved, and now it’s much more rare. Still the best in town for high-​end finds.

Don’t come in expected a BARGAIN so to speak, but do come in expecting to find an extremely well curated collection of consigned designer clothing and accessories. Helpful and kind staff! All items are in amazing condition, hardly looked used whatsoever. My first stop when shopping for fancy occasions! Such a fun place to go if you’re a fashion geek.

This store is absolutely adorable. Everything is laid out in an organized fashion. The girls really know their stuff and makes you feel comfortable in buying an authentic piece. Make sure to follow their Instagram and look at their blog online for their newest items.

This is the place to go if you are looking for a killer designer dress for a formal or informal occasion that looks NEW! The girls were so helpful, I told them what I was looking for and they grabbed a few dresses, ONE worked perfectly! Lowers the likelihood of showing up wearing the same thing as another girl. The dress cost $ 60 and would have been more like $ 250 brand new.
Can’t wait for my next shopping adventure here!

I travel a lot for work and love hitting up local consignment shops for items you can’t get elsewhere… but I’m also a bit of a snob and can’t stand those shops that pack the racks with worn-​out GAP tees. You can imagine my delight when I stepped into MOSS to find a beautifully merchandised, clean boutique with REAL designers represented: Chloe, Channel, DVF, Vince, Burberry, Valentino, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, etc. The quality was incredible — as if most things had never been worn. And the prices were fantastic! I walked out with a Vintage Valentino dress and three blouses from designers Alice & Olivia, Barney’s and Sanctuary… all for under $ 400!
On top of the great selection (I honestly went into the dressing room with 15 items!) the staff on hand was super sweet and helpful. They jumped up and down with me when the Valentino fit perfectly! YAY!
Love this store — highly recommend it and can’t wait to visit again!

I went to Austin on vacation in November 2011 and MOSS was one of my favorite stops of the trip, and I still visit their blog.
The store was curated extremely well and carries true designer apparel and accessories (Chanel, DVF, etc)
I picked up a small coral over the shoulder Marc Jacobs bag for just over $ 100, I still love it and use it often when I go out. I wish I had had the spare cash to buy more, there were a lot of showstoppers here.
If you are a tourist or local and enjoy discounted designer clothes and great service, you should drop by. If I ever come back to Austin, I will look forward to stopping at MOSS.

I went in on a fluke the other day, and did end up finding something I liked. Rare, as most stores that consign designer never seem to have my sizes available. Alas, I lucked out. While that was pretty cool, and I was happy with my purchase, I was not impressed by the attitudes of the girls working there. I have no idea how they pick and choose who to provide customer service to, but despite my efforts to be nice, they just weren’t going to reciprocate. Really disappointing, like the others who have commented to this unfortunate similar experience. This made me put down two additional items I was considering, leaving with just the one item and I won’t be returning.
I frequent Feathers, their sister store, and never have had any experience like this. They have always been nice and friendly. The ladies here, well, I found them quite rude and unhelpful. Unfortunate all around as they do have beautiful clothes, which I found to be in a variety of sizes, from the tiny to a beautiful size 12 Diane Von Fostenburg piece. Just can’t put up with the ‘tude from the ladies.
