Organizing Solutions Int’l

I’d recently moved into a condo and needed help separating my at-​home work from the rest of the living space. In addition, I wanted a pro’s opinion of how to deal with storage of tools, books, cookware, and clothes.
Tina spent two hours with me and made lots of helpful suggestions about where things should go, and what would be worth spending some money on, such as Elfa shelving. She listened well, and didn’t push solutions on me.
Definitely a good investment!

I hired Shawna to advise me in two areas:
1 — organizing my studio apartment
2 — organizing my business and personal paperwork.
Shawna’s great communication skills made the scheduling process a breeze and she met me right on time at my home. During the hour that we met, Shawna provided a ton of advice that is still helping me today.
Prior to her arrival I was completely frustrated with living in a studio apartment. Shawna helped me see how a few practical and inexpensive purchases would add a ton of storage and make the space much more livable. More importantly, her positive outlook gave me hope that I could be happy in a studio apartment.
Before my appointment with Shawna, I had a backlog of paperwork that needed to be processed and organized. I also needed a system to organize future business finances. Shawna was very open in showing me how she organizes her business finances on Google Drive. While I did not end up using Google Drive in exactly the same way as Shawna, the principles she taught me about process simplification were exceedingly helpful.
I got great value out of meeting with Shawna for an hour and wish that I had the budget to hire her for an organizational make-​over weekend. I highly recommend her organizational services for business owners and apartment dwellers alike.

I was recently offered an incredible job opportunity in a different state. The only problem? It doesn’t start for a few months and my lease is up now! I had a tall order for Shawna and her team to fill. Help me pack my entire home in 2 days; but, help me organize what is going into storage and what is coming with me to my temporary residence. Shawna sent Tina to help me for a few hours one day and we were able to pack everything except for my bedroom. Better than that, I actually know where everything is!
The bedroom was the hard part. I am one of those girls that has entirely too many clothes and I’ve tried justifying to my boyfriend for years why I needed each and every article. Clothes I have held on to, but never worn, for YEARS! Shawna was able to assist me in getting rid of 8 trash bags worth of clothing to donate (not including the stuff we threw away because she was like «I mean come on girl, this is faded, do you really need it?»). I think the BF about cried when he came home and saw the empty closet and ONE wardrobe box full. She also got me started in the right direction to decide which leftover items should be taken and which should just be stored — a difficult task considering Texas’ terrible knack for being 50 degrees in the AM, and 85 by lunch time in the Winter.
She is also willing to work with you on payment, as well, which was helpful.
The movers come tomorrow and if it wasn’t for Shawna and Tina, I never would’ve been ready. I do have a couple of other projects I might need some assistance with before I move and I will definitely be calling her for help. My only complaint is that I can’t take her to Seattle with me to help unpack and keep things in their places!

Last year I bought my first my home and I expanded my family. Although I was initially reluctant to spend money on home organization (shouldn’t I be able to do this myself?) I knew that many of the semimetal things in my home were actually causing clutter. When Shawna came to help, she was sensitive to the fact that I had come to the realization that there were some areas that I just couldn’t get organized on my own, and that I strait up needed help! Shawna was efficient and patient and helped me to not only organize each space, but more importantly, to create SYSTEMS for each space that WORKED. Months later each organized space remains orderly since each system is easy and effective for the entire family. With a better-​looking space and kid friendly organizational systems, my family is happier and healthier! I could not recommend Organizing Solutions International more.

I attended a 1.5 hour session delivered by Shawna C. at Organizing Solutions, and learned a lot. It was great to hear about new ways to organize one’s life. She advised us on how to get rid of electronic clutter, dispose of our actual clutter, tear ourselves away from those nostalgic items, etc. She also mentioned important time management mottos to live by. We even discussed, as a group at a Unilocal event held at Monkey Nest, the best way to help those special hoarders we might encounter in our daily lives. Luckily, none of us fell into that category.
I remember one hot tip that Shawna gave to someone wondering how to clean up their work office so as to avoid constant teasing from coworkers. She said to pretend you’re moving, and the truck is packed, and you have to pay to keep each item. Do you still want it? Other hot tips included: Don’t spend more than 4 hours on a project. Wait another day and return to it.
