Horrible experience… It was a huge mistake renting a boat from this place, they’ll threat to pepper spray anyone for any reason.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE, I REPEAT DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! Our boat we rented for Memorial Day broke down several times out on the water and ultimately just shut down on us (almost hitting other boats as we drifted). Other boats from the SAME company were blaming US for our boats malfunctions and none of us were even driving it (we hired one of their employees to drive). We ended up having to be towed with more than an hour left till the original docking time. We were pretty upset about the whole ordeal and thought we would get a refund, credit, or move to another boat. However, the alleged co-​manager of this establishment became angry WITH US for complaining about the service and treatment we were receiving and threaten to call the cops on us! He ended up PEPPER SPRAYING each of the members of our group as well as two innocent bystanders who were not apart of our group. He continued to spray one young lady excessively AS SHE WAS LEAVING (making her end up at the hospital) also spraying others who were not even arguing with him. None of his associates tried to stop him nor did they help in any way. They just stood there, silent. Luckily the whole incident was caught on video and the co-​manger was charged with assault. And a definite lawsuit is underway.

We got a fun ski boat super last minute and had a blast. Carter and the rest of the team are great– nice guys and very thorough with rules and instructions for the boat. Also, all of their rentals include one pull behind item, making this place a better deal than other spots. I’ll definitely rent a boat from them again.

Traveled down from Seattle and rented a boat from Paradise. The staff was very helpful and didn’t raise any concerns when we brought the boat back late, everyone was great. Highly recommended and if we ever get back down to Austin we’ll definitely look into renting here again.

Run away from this place, these people should not be renting boats. First off booking was a pain, I called and they didn’t have the boat I wanted but going online there was a similar boat. I chalked it up to being busy. Get there, a mountain of paperwork and they photo copy my drivers license and a credit card, even after the balance is paid in full. The life vest they had where a joke. Some were missing buckles and it left us with using the cheap orange summer camp style for some on the boat. Get the boat, which was is an other model but okay. The guys where slow about refueling the boat and slow to add oil but again I wasn’t expecting major service. The staff in general seemed rude and surly. We get the boat and head out, we then tied up in a cover where we hung out for bit. When we did try to restart the boat, it wouldn’t start. Called the staff who tried to trouble shoot the starting process. The finally sent someone out to address the problem which took about 30 minutes. He realized the motor was not working and gave us his boat which had issues. Most of the seats were ripped and engaging the drive was difficult and was often meet with a large thud after 30 to 45 seconds of lag. You would think for the price, they would maintain their boats and equipment. This was not the case.

Just spent the weekend here and had such a blast! A very fun, friendly, family oriented atmosphere. Every time my family and I rent from them we are treated very well and we never have an issue. I highly recommend Paradise Cove Marina!!!

We rented a pontoon and a jet ski and it all seem to go well at first. The renting and execution of the paperwork went smoothly and they were very kind when going over the introductions and instructions on the respective equipment. Apparently the boat we were given was brand new and only a week old which was a nice touch. However… it all went down hill once we had some issues with the jet ski. I wish they wouldn’t have been so rude to us over the phone when we stated we had no clue where we were at and tried to give them marks from what we saw from our surroundings. Their tone was quite rude and very unprofessional. After multiple times offering to share our location via iPhone they finally decided to go this route once they «came up with the idea». It was pretty shocking how they wanted us to fix the equipment ourselves before they even attempted to go out and try to help us.

Rented a pontoon and 2 jet skis from here. All 3 items seemed to be in good shape. The staff was good and showed us how to operate the pontoon, he even let us borrow his auxillary cord so we could play music while on the pontoon. When it was time to return to the dock at the end of our rental time, we couldn’t find one person from our group on one of the jet skis. He had gotten lost and couldn’t find which dock was Paradise’s. Robby was awesome and helped us go out and look for our friend in a speed boat. He didn’t charge us for going over time or for having to use another boat to find our friend. Don’t know what happened in the other reviews, but our group had a great time and Robby was really nice to help us out. I would recommend this place.

We rented a boat here in September of 2012 from Nick — who was the assistant manager.
I called up a few days to confirm and Nick said the gate to the parking lot would be open and that we didn’t need to know the gate access. Of course it was closed and we didn’t have the code.
I called Nick several times on his cell phone but he did not answer. We finally followed another car through, and we finally got a hold of Nick. Our Pontoon boat was filthy — bugs and spiderwebs everywhere. He tried to wipe it down, but did a real half-​ass job. It was pretty nasty, and we ended up spending time cleaning the boat more ourselves once we got out on the lake.
Even though we agreed on a set amount, the weather that day was poor and Nick said if I wanted to come back early the hourly rate would be a $XX/​hour (I forget the exact amount). But that if we stayed out their for the full 4 hours, we would be charged the reduced hourly rate.
We decided to stay out on the lake for the entire time (4 hours), and instead of charging us the reduced hourly rate, I was charged the higher hourly rate. Of course Nick was no where to be found, and the guy who was there did not know how to fix the problem. I made about 5 different phone calls to Nick during the days and weeks following the rental, and none were returned. Finally when I threatened to get the credit card company involved, I got a phone call back and he apologized for the mix-​up and I got my credit.
We got a good deal here, but we did not enjoy the experience. It was a real half-​ass operation.

Great marina with plenty of availability and boats of your liking. Was able to accomodate our requests timely. Especially with the lakes so low, nice to see this business up and running and doing a good job at it.
