History

Established in 2011.

Once our distinguished name was chosen and smiling tree frog logo created, Peace Frog started serving Austin carpet cleaning customers in January 2011. Like most homegrown businesses, it was started with more vision than capital. The owner (Matt) purchased a used carpet cleaning van and started offering free room carpet cleaning to selected small communities. Word spread rather quickly that Peace Frog does a great job at a fair price. Within a year the one man operation grew into three vans and a full-​time office manager. Peace Frog’s popularity on Yelp is warranted. We are the best full-​service carpet cleaning service in Austin. Gives us your business, you’ll be glad you did.

Matt has a Speech Communications degree from Texas A&M University– Commerce and an Associates of Arts degree in Business Administration degree from Collin County Community College. He started cleaning carpets 20 years ago, and has worked for at least 5 different carpet cleaning companies over the years. He lived in Hawaii for one year and Kobe Japan for 5 years, where he taught English as a Second Language. He has succeeded in making Peace Frog the best carpet cleaning company in Austin.

Our office was in desperate need of the carpets being deep cleaned after having held a safety training. There were 50 or so people coming in and out in the span of a couple months. Tracked in dirt, spilled drinks and food all over the carpet. After John R. came to our office last week and did an awesome job cleaning the carpet all stains came out and it looks great! Everyone tells me how much cleaner it smells in the office. For our future carpet cleaning we will definitely call Peace Frog.

Peace Frog worked extremely hard on a Saturday to get my office floor looking better than it has been in a long time. From the first contact to the actual cleaning, it was a quick and effortless process. They came out to the office to offer their first proposal and gave great insight into their expectations and ideas. They cleaned a huge office floor of mostly carpeted area that gets lots of traffic from office professionals that love tracking in dirt and spilling coffee. Going into the cleaning, I was doubtful that many of the more intense and old stains would clear up but I was pleasantly surprised! When I came back at the end of the long day the carpet looked better than I could have hoped. Even areas that didn’t have any stains still held a lot of grime that was picked up. The whole place smelled clean but not over-​powering. Most of the carpet was already dry by the time I showed up. They were friendly, professional, and did a great job. Can’t wait to have them back to clean up the rest of the floors of our company!

Summary:
I had a really great experience with Peace Frog, setting up the appointment with Gene over the phone was simple and friendly and their technician Michael was super nice and fast. Even came out on a Saturday to correct an issue with the first cleaning.
Further reading:
I initially inquired about having Peace Frog clean two area rugs, but was advised against doing an in-​home steam cleaning for the type of rugs I own. (They didn’t just do the job and take my money, but advised me on the best course of action.)
Instead, I had them out to clean my living room furniture (sectional and chair with dark charcoal fabric). After the first cleaning, we discovered after drying the cushions came out streaky and gray. I was terrified I had just paid to have someone ruin my couch. I called and they immediately had their technician out the next day (On a Saturday). After a second cleaning, the couches were good as new. We believe the first cleaning wasn’t enough for these couches that have never been cleaned professionally.

Great service and clean carpets after James really put muscle into cleaning. My carpets have never been this fresh since they were first put in. Getting carpets cleaned is not cheap but you def get what you pay for and I recommend Peace Carpets if you want your carpets cleaned right.

I had guests spill food on an area rug in my vacation rental. I needed it cleaned ASAP before my next guests arrived. Peace Frog got me scheduled in 24 hours (the day before Christmas Eve). The service tech was on time, friendly, and professional. The results were great. The rug looks brand new, and with StainGuard, I’m hoping it lasts another 10 years!

Great Price, Fantastic Service, AWESOME Results!
Our carpet is almost 20 years old, and has stains from pets, spills, traffic, etc…
Still it was time for a good cleaning.
Peace Frog phoned me the morning of the appointment to confirm that I would be here, and John G. arrived a few minutes early.
He was very friendly, courteous, and professional the entire time he was here.
I started with a walk through showing him the worst of the stains and telling him that I did not expect miracles, just a good cleaning.
I also had him add an additional room that was not originally quoted.
He took the changes in stride without any problems, and he did, in fact, perform miracles!
I still cannot believe how much improvement he made to the worst of the badly stained areas of our carpet!
I WILL be using Peace Frog for our carpet cleaning needs from now on, and I’m planning on having them come clean the dryer vent, and mattress as well.
When I call I will specifically ask for John!
Its very obvious that he loves the work he does, and it shows in the finished results!

Wow! Where did I find Peace Frog! My technician, John, showed up on time, and had to be the sweetest, most professional person I have come across in a while! John knew exactly what needed to be done, worked hard and quickly. My home looks and smells amazing! My furniture that was cleaned looks brand new. As I have two dogs, having my furniture and rugs cleaned is regular maintenance. Peace Frog is the only people I will use, and I felt the bill was very reasonable too! I am 100% satisfied (which, in my case, is not easy to achieve) with the entire Peace Frog experience — from the initial phone call with Gene, Sales Representative, to the service with James, Technician. They were both so professional, personable, and knowledgeable. Having your carpets cleaned is not an easy or inexpensive undertaking. But aside from moving things off of the carpet in advance (which they were willing to do — but just made it easier for me and quicker for them) it was easy and not as expensive as I expected or have experienced in the past with other companies.
I would highly recommend them to anyone. I am glad that I am writing this review so that I can come back to it when I need to get their information for future cleanings.
Note: They do MUCH more than just carpet cleaning. In my case they did my carpet, couch (microfiber), and area and entry rugs (wool). But they do even more than that. Check them out.

My technician was wonderful and did a great job. Polite, on time, all the right stuff. However, the last time I used PeaceFrog, they charged me their 3-​room special plus the stairs and even though I have one less carpeted room now (2 tiny bedrooms and a living room), they charged me for the 3-​room special plus the stairs.
The day before my appointment, about 22 hours before my scheduled appointment, I tried to postpone my appointment because I had back spasms and my husband was out of town so I couldn’t do the vacuuming. Even though it was due to a physical issue and I was only 2 hours short of 24 hour notice, they were going to charge me $ 35 to move the appointment. Not cancel, just move it!
They said the technician would do the vacuuming for a fee (or if he was really nice, he would waive the fee, which my technician did, but I tipped him).
They claimed that the $ 35 charge was because the technicians get paid by the job. So, the company doesn’t have much «skin in the game,» to my way of thinking. I wonder if the technicians get the $ 35 for cancellations and postponing.
So, the bottom line is that I am no longer happy with the company, despite the fact that the technician was great. I don’t plan to use them again.
By the way, the last time I used them, they ruined a part of my bedroom carpet by spreading what was apparently a bleach stain. The technician convinced me that a good restitution was to clean some of the grout in my front hall tile. The cleaning was a very small area and it didn’t look much different. I regretted not having held them to replacing the ruined carpet. But that was my mistake.

I had a great experience with Peace Frog. I did some dog-​sitting for a few weeks and the dog put quite a few pee spots on our carpet. Our technician (Jason) very patiently treated and re-​treated every problem spot until the carpet looked and smelled 100x better. He then went over all the rooms, working around and under furniture we could not easily move.
Jason really made the whole treatment worthwhile and worth the (reasonable) cost. I’ll definitely be calling them again when I need our floors cleaned again!

Michael did a great job, all stains removed. Took excellent care of our floors and corners of the walls and door frames by putting up temporary guards so the equipment wouldn’t touch or mark the walls. They were very thorough and quick but did an excellent job still and were very respectful.
Offered to check out our dry cleaner vent and would let me know if it required cleaning — it did not and so he was honest and didn’t try to up-​sell me on a service we didn’t need. Great communication from the company on scheduling and arrival of technician the day of service.
