I came into this place for a raspa. That is what they call them in San Antonio and since I don’t speak Spanish, I showed them a picture. The lady asked me what size and I replied in English then she proceeded to show me the cup sizes. I agreed with the last one she showed me. After I paid I walked towards a table to wait, and I turned around and she was whispering to another employee and laughing. I’m sure they were talking about me and how I look hispanic but yet don’t speak Spanish. I’ve worked where there have been plenty of people who don’t speak english shop and I’ve never made them feel as uncomfortable or out of place as these employees have made me feel. The sad part is they probably treat all customers like me that way. I mean companies employ people who are bilingual to serve both english and spanish speaking customers. Why can’t this company do the same.

The quality of the fruit/ice/ice cream combinations they concoct here is very fresh. We do love coming here and getting our favorite Pepe Snow Cup. It consists of shaved ice, pieces of fresh cut cantaloupe, pineapple, cucumbers, coconut, mango, water-melon, squirt of lemon and chili powder. It is topped off with a straw wrapped in like a tangy fruit leather sprinkled with chili powder. Their smallest size is a 16 oz cup which is actually perfect for 2 people if you want to share. The 16 oz costs $ 5.40 with tax included. It is perfect during a hot day when you want something refreshing with a sweet/salty/spicy kick to it. The customer service is not great, and they are super busy during the evening time, but we keep on coming back because their fruit concoctions are really tasty.

This place is very good and fresh. These places are like a slice of paradise. Sometimes a line out the door. Worth the wait. I recommend it all. Careful you could end up ordering the whole menu if you do it like me.

Pepe’s fruit cup was our choice of dessert today. We happily walked in, we were greeted by other customers and they walked out, so far so good. There were 2 girls working there, when I asked the girl with the black hair what kind of ice cream was the one I was pointing to she replied. I asked if I could have a sample and was given a dirty look. Even my husband noticed and gave me a funky look. My husband asked what a sandillada was and the girl with the lighter hair replied nicely. So we made our choice. Since we were the only ones, my husband went ahead and asked the girls if he could have a sandillada. The girl with the black hair turned around and with an aggravated voice of tone and mannerism said«can you hold on?» Me and my husband looked at each other stunned and decided to walk out. If I am a paying customer this kind of rude service will not get our business. Other than that, the place does look like it could use some extensive cleaning and remodeling.
