Pet Medical Services

The whole staff at Pet Medical Services is awesome! Caitlyn went above and beyond in her communication with me via email and was so kind and helpful, then when I arrived to get my dogs heartworm test done, the whole staff including her, the vet, and the vets assistant (I believe is what he was) were also so kind and helpful. Great prices, great service! I hope they keep this up and running and I will keep going back for all the services they offer.

I’ve taken my cat to pet medical services twice now for vaccinations, and I’m always impressed with the experience. Dr Ormon went above and beyond, assessing my cat’s teeth to see if he needed a dental cleaning in addition to providing vaccines and answering all of my questions. The clinic barely had any wait (a huge plus when you’re bringing an anxious kitty!), the vaccination prices were reasonable, and the doctor and his staff seemed to truly care about the well being of my pet. Highly recommended.

I can not say enough good things about Pet Medical Services. I used to live in Houston and go to Pet Vaccination Services, which is the same general idea. So, I was pretty excited to find out about Pet Medical Services being a similar option here in Austin. The services are only available 9 – 12, and I showed up at about 11. There was virtually no wait, and I got in and out $ 68 later. I got a rabies shot, as well as the Parvo combo shot. In addition to those, I bought a 1 year supply of IverhartPlus heartworm medication. Not only are these prices even cheaper than Pet Vaccination services (which had been the #1 cheapest in my experience) but also the shots last for 3 years! The staff was excellent, extremely nice and helpful. So excited I found this place!

Pet Medical Service is kinda similar to ATA, in that it is a low cost pet clinic. Your pet can be seen by their vet for all shots and preventive medication. You can not take a sick pet to see these vets, so it just for healthy pets to get their routine stuff. They are open one day a month at a few different Tomlinson’s location.
They have awesome pricing on all vaccinations and cheap flea/​heartworm medication. $ 53 for 6mo Advantage (21 – 55 lbs) which is muuuch lower than at pet stores and even $ 10 cheaper than ATA. Generic heartguard, $ 45 for a 1 year supply! The list of products sold is on the website but, I believe they are carrying additional products and haven’t updated the page yet. I heard through the grape-​vine that they now sell pro-​meris flea control and the comfortis pill.
Micro-​chipping for cheap! After one of our dogs got out of the yard, we realized how important it is to have this done!
We get there 10 – 15 before they open and were always the 1^st or 2^nd person in line. So, if your available the one day they are open it beats having to wait forever at ATA. All the staff is really friendly and helpful! I am so happy to know about this service!
