Specialties
I work primarily with depression, anxiety, and life transitions. I stem from a Cognitive Behavioral approach and I place a heavy emphasis on our thinking patterns and how they affect our decisions/behaviors/reactions/feelings and how it can manifest a significant amount of the emotional distress in our lives. By re-training your thinking patterns and assessing the areas in your lives that you can control, you can begin to learn that you are solely in charge of your happiness and well being. I also place a significant importance on health and wellness including: affirmations, positive thinking, nutrition, exercise, sleep, meditation, mindfulness, and spirituality/faith. In order to see long term positive changes all of this must be addressed and maintained as there is no «quick fix» for mental health.
