Vertallee Letterpress

This is my very first Unilocal review (which is terrible since I depend on Unilocal so often in my personal life), but I felt that strongly about writing this one. I literally just returned to my office from picking up my wedding invitations, and went straight to Unilocal.
Kat at Vertallee was absolutely wonderful to work with from beginning to end. She made the creation process so easy and completely stress free. She was VERY timely in her responses, which someone as OCD as myself loved! The final outcome of the invitations is absolutely perfect. She took my simple minded ideas and made them classic and timeless.
I am so grateful to Kat for making a piece of the long and tedious wedding planning process such a joy!

Wonderful customer service! I am a Graphic Designer here in Austin, Texas and needed someone to letterpress my wedding invitations. I had searched long and hard on the internet and everywhere was wanting to charge an absurd amount for 20 invitations that I, MYSELF, designed. I found Kat (Vertallee) and she had a quick response turnaround which I very much appreciated. The quote estimate was reasonable and Kat was very understanding of my wants/​needs. They were ready to pick up yesterday but I wasn’t able to leave my job to go and grab them. Instead, Kat came and dropped them off to me at work today! How sweet and thoughtful is that?! Needless to say I had a great experience and will definitely be going through her again for future printing needs.

Kat was super helpful in getting us our wedding invitations! We provided the vector graphics, and she was kind enough to meet us to make a few suggestions on how to tweak them.
Print and turnaround was quick, communications were professional — just call them already!

I hadn’t even considered letterpress because I thought it would be cost-​prohibitive, but after I had an insanely difficult time finding someone who could do the color combo I wanted in traditional printing or thermography (pale blush ink on dark grey paper), I caved and bought some blush paper and sent an e-​mail to Vertallee. I figured that less than perfect paper/​ink combo meant I deserved to splurge on better printing (yup, total wedding mentality!).
I was totally shocked when she sent me back a quote! Granted, I had supplied my own paper and design, but the price to have my invitations, RSVP cards, directions cards, and rehearsal dinner invitations printed was *less* than I would have spent to have it flat printed. My overall cost was higher, since I paid separately for paper and printing, but I was blown away at how small the difference was. I pretty much got four pieces for what I would have paid for one (or maybe two) had I gone with pre-​designed letterpress invitations from any of the major companies. Kat even helped walk me through some issues I had with the files!
Needless to say, I am so, so, so happy that I decided to contact her! Our invitation suite looked absolutely amazing, and I loved that not only was it something I designed, but it was done here locally — and beautifully! I saw some of her designs (as well as elements she had printed for other designers) and they were all awesome — everything from modern and Austin-​y to romantic and traditional. I highly, highly recommend you send Kat an e-​mail!

This is an overdue review for Vertallee Letterpress’s help with my wedding invitations about a year ago. I had the same experience as previous reviewers– after researching and contacting a few letterpress shops in the area, I found the best prices and customer service from Vertallee. Kat was extremely friendly and helpful in pointing me to resources to produce the invites exactly as I wanted them.

Kat was so kind in helping me research letterpress invites. Her prices are very affordable for letterpress, and i love that they’ll let you design your own or design something for you for a small fee. I really appreciated their help at such an important time in my life.

Vertallee Letterpress saved the day with my Save the Dates for my wedding. I’m fortunate enough to have a very talented artist aunt who could design the save the dates and even did some research to find the best and most affordable letterpress around. Although I no longer live in Texas, it was nice to have a little piece of home in my wedding. Vertallee pressed the cards beautifully on heavy cotton Crane paper.
Letterpress is never the cheapest option but Vertallee was reasonably priced, very responsive, and a joy to work with. The save the dates were perfect — exactly what I wanted — and worth every penny.

This couple is great! I had 2 greeting cards printed and they came out fabulous! They are very detail oriented and timely. As a designer they were excellent in tweaking the press to get me a perfect product. I highly recommend them for any creative letter press job. I also believe they do design as well.
