The Dr. seemed nice enough, her assistant was not very friendly. That is not why I’m writing a bad review. I am writing a bad review because when I was in here office she directed me to get blood work done before she would refill my thyroid prescription. Fine. This does need to be done once a year and I was due. She did NOT tell me she would not refill my anti-depressant. I have been diagnosed by 2 psychiatrists of being clinically depressed. I have been on the same medication and have been feeling GREAT for over 15 years. This Dr. is the first Dr. I have ever been to that number one, would not give me the prescription, and number two, asked for blood work for it! Ridiculous. And her rude little assistant argued with me about needing blood work for an antidepressant. Unreal. I am not going back for that specifically. It’s not like I’m trying to get a prescription for some fun drug that people take and over dose on. So I have found a better Dr., with a much nicer office, and much nicer and more professional staff.

This is one of the best GP/IM doctor you can find, *anywhere*, I have been her patient for over 6 years now and while I can understand that her first impression may not be stellar, she offers simply the best Long Term medical care you can get. What Dr Vijay provides is an an abundance of medical wisdom that leads to exceptional care. She goes out of her way to take care of her patients, even though her bed side manners may not indicate as much at times. She has caught 3 issues that even specialists were unsure about in my case and while I had my doubts about her early on(to the point where I changed providers only to come back after 6 months), I will not trust any other business practice with my or my family’s health. Depending on your medical needs, she may seem rushed/rude, its a part of her care process and every single time she has your best interest at heart. To clear up some confusion, here is what her practice is NOT: 1) A money making run of mill business that puts patients second 2) A really cool lobby and fake smiles all around staff 3) A Dr that wants to be your buddy buddy 4) A practice that puts you through all tests and meds that you may *want* or have read about on the internet It is far to easy to blame her, specially when contrasted with well run«businesses», this is a professional who is truly puts her patients firsts and will go out of her way to ensure you are well taken care of. FWIW, I had gone to the top 5 star dr on Unilocal, was extremely happy with the initial impression, only to realize 6 months later that the quality of care was not up to the mark of Dr Vijay. That particular Dr put patience convenience over patient health.
