2nd time around this place for a colonoscopy. 1st time went without incidents. Last November I went again and was helped by a male nurse called Michael. He showed me to the prep area and got ready to start the customary IV. He tried to find a vein in both of my arms but could not find it. So he went for the next step which is to try in the hand. He did so in my right hand and as he tried the 1st time he hit a nerve which made me jump in pain. He said this happens a lot. So he tried a 2nd time and again he hit a nerve and again I jumped in terrible pain. Since he could not do it and noticing my pain and angry demeanor, he called a female nurse who got the vein on the 1st try. A couple of days later I started to have a pain in my right arm that began on the top of the hand and went all the way to the elbow… like it was a cable. I did not pay too much attention then. After 2 months of pain, some days were worse that others, the pain receded. But I was left with a numbness on the knuckle of my index finger that will not go away. I notified this people and all I got was lady that called my phone and then sent me a letter saying these things happen and that I should see my Dr. That was not what I expected from a «reputable”(?) surgery center, I wiil not return to this place and will tell every one I know TONOTGOTHEREBECAUSETHEYDON’T CAREABOUTTHEIRPATIENTS.
