Kevin did an amazing job on my silk wrap. After three weeks they still looked great! He and his wife are very nice, there story is inspirational. Ask Kevin about his kids. Can’t wait to get back to Bakersfield for another perfect silk wrap! Yes, the shop is kind of beat up, but the work is superb. Don’t be afraid.

DONTGOHERE! I only gave this 1 star cuz Unilocal made me. So I haven’t lived out here in Bakersfield long enough to find a good nail salon, so occasionally I go back to LA. Unfortunately I was not able to and leave out of State this wknd for my great great grandmothers 90th birthday. Needing a quick pedi and mani– I find«Beautiful Nail», I walk in noticing it’s small, and only two employees and only one customer. The husband was finished up a pedi, while the wife watched her novela on YouTube. I am seated in the spa chair promptly so I assume I hit the jackpot and found my new favorite small place. Wrong!!! I asked if they do gel nail since I didn’t see any signs or any gel colors– the wife rudely replied yes. She was the one who did my mani– now my nails are short and weak. She cleaned them so deep she tore my skin from under my nail bed on 3 of my fingers. Not to mention broke 2 sides of my already short nails so I had to file them myself– ouch! The husband was doing my pedi– he kept throwing my feet back into the spa tub, when I asked for gel; he added it would be $ 20 more. I said never mind being that they were both staring at me like they didn’t want to do it. I was already upset with their service so this didn’t help. They asked me what color I was using. I had wanted 2 different colors but to make it easy for them I chose only 1 and no design. The wife started my polish in my nails. Very sloppy, my son can do a better job. I finally had enough, asked them to stop, explained how appalled I was with their service and business and asked them how much I owed, paid and left. They are lucky I even paid. REPEATDONOTGOHERE!!!

The Worst! Not kidding! I went in for a fill. The salon is dirty and cluttered. She was heavy handed with the drill and I have sore fingers from her eating up my cuticles with it. I have visible damage on 7 fingers. She didn’t shape my nails at all. I had two broken nails. instead of removing the acrylic and adding a new tip she just drilled away what was loose and filled it. So I ended up with one nail that is concave and one super short nail. I had to ask her to clean the excess acrylic from under the free edge. my nails had rough edges and sharp areas that I had to file myself.

It is a small place but they are very quick. I arrived and there were 2 people ahead of me, I waited less than 5 minutes to be sat down for my pedicure. They have 3 spa chairs and 3 manicure spots. The owners Kevin and Kim are wonderful and have been doing nails for over 20 years. I highly recommend them! Very inexpensive, $ 10 for French tip manicure and $ 18 for pedicure :)

Small place but with decent parking space. Doesn’t look much from the outside; definitely say the same with the interior. The strong smell of acetone was my first impression. There was not a lot of nail polish choices on the wall, and to be honest I was turned off by some of them(they looked old). Kevin first removed by old gel polish by giving my hands submerged in a bowl of acetone. Yes, I had my hands in it for about 10 minutes. Odd, as I’ve had gel polish before and I’ve never had it removed like that. Also, he scraped off the polish with his nails. Yes, his actual nails. Then more acetone bath. Then another scraping. At this point I was so weirded out I thought about leaving. When he brought out his equipment(nail clippers, etc.), I finally felt some relief. He cut my nails short and square as I’ve requested, though he didn’t bother filing the corners a little bit so it remained sharp. The edges could’ve used more filing as well to get rid of the raggedness(maybe his clippers need to be sharpened?), but I didn’t bother pointing it out anymore. Few gel colour choices as well, and the bottle of the one I chose also looked like it was about to run out too — he was dipping into it like he was going after every last possible drop. Application was ok, not the best I’ve had. I was kinda hoping for some lotion after, since my hands felt like they’ve dried up after all that acetone bath, but alas, I was out of luck. I looked at the clock abd was surprised to see that all that took about 1.5 hours. Yup, he really took his time. The pedicure was better in my opinion. It was his wife who did it. New-ish massage pedicure chair, actually had lotion put on my legs and massaged. Nice, clean cut with no sharp corners this time. Even color application. Much quicker, probably took only 30 minutes. All for $ 40($ 27 for regular mani-pedi, plus $ 13 for gel). I don’t know if I’d be going back. Maybe if I bring my own nail polish. And if I’d be more vocal about my observations/preferences next time. One good thing I noticed though is that there was another customer with me at the time and I was sure she was a regular there. Same goes with another caller. Regulars are always a good sign. PS: Oh yeah, I definitely had to file my own nails after this session, as the corner had already snagged on my tights. I knew it was gonna happen.

Had a pedicure. Small older building. Husband & wife team. Love the LA prices. Most Bakersfield nail salons add the word«spa» so they can jack up their prices. Good service for price.

We needed a place for my niece grad day and I found this place based on fellow Unilocalers. At first I was thrown off by the location since its so close to a residential area but we found it and parked. The place is small and compared to the places I’ve been in the LA area its aight. There was a couple who helped us and although they were a bit confused when I told them what I was looking for they ended up working with me. We were looking for gel nails and although they did have the color we were looking for in the gel type they gave me alternatives which ended working for what we needed. We didn’t have much time when we first came in so I have to say I’m happy overall only because they nails looked good enough to me. Although some improvements aesthetically could be made its not a bad place.

This place was very friendly and I had a great experience. I called in at 7pm on Christmas Eve to see if they were open. Man on phone said 7:30 and was very nice. I reached 7:20 and husband wife were busy doing nails for 2 people and one waiting. They quickly acknowledged me and kept us all engaged in a fun conversation. Guys name was Kevin. Other two ladies seemed regulars. One said she comes from Pasadena to get her nails done here because they do the best silk wrap. Without rushing, they did amazing job for those ladies and then was my turn. They had theirs kids over for Christmas Eve and had cooked dinner for Kevin and his wife. But still they were so friendly, welcoming, fast, and did an amazing job! I was impressed. Definitely would recommend this place to others and would love to go back if Im in town. Thanks to them for being open so late on Christmas Eve. all other salons were closed. One was open when I walked in at 5:45 but said was closing at 6, and couldnt take me cause they had a party to go to.wth.anyways, I was happy overall. and nails are beautiful! :) Thanks Kevin!
