Log Cabin Florist is like family. They work with you to get exactly what you want, and if you give them a heads up you like a certain plant or color they will let you know when it comes in. I have done that with peach begonias. They are always happy to customize the bow on an existing arrangement to better suit your needs. Always a pleasure to shop there!

Reason for the 5 stars? These ladies at Log Cabin saved my booty!
With helium prices rising, the cost of balloon bouquets had increased more than I originally allotted in my budget. With the stress of an event a few hours away I found myself calling around and finding prices. I found Log Cabin was the cheapest by a good third.
A drop off and pick up later by my assistant, Kevin P., and we were off and running. Event was saved. And the balloons looked fabulous!

I needed some balloons filled for an event, called around town: Party City was 1.50/balloon while Log Cabin and several others in town were 1/​balloon. Log Cabin being the closest it got the nod.
I arrived with my balloons in hand and the lady was very patient as I wasn’t quite sure what was needed. Eventually worked it out with the boss (McKenzie S) and the order was placed.
When I returned to pick up the balloons and everything was in order. I was helped to the car and will definitely be back.
That being said, I don’t feel I can give a florist 5 stars without actually buying flowers so 4 stars it is.

I have always been treated good here. Take your time and get it right the first time. Spend some time in the shop getting what you want. Otherwise you could always go to the gas station and continue bring a loathsome person.

Fantastic customer service! Went in to get bouquet and boutonnière for winter formal (not realizing I should have done this way in advance!) The staff had it ready 2 hours later, just in time for the dance. The arrangement was beautiful! Matched the dress perfectly and they even put a silver leaf on the boutonnière to match.

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE, AND RUDE. DO NOT SPEND MONEY HERE.
I sent my Mom mother’s day flowers from Log Cabin (on the earlier side, she received the bouquet on the Tuesday before Mother’s day. I thought that my Mom could enjoy the flowers in her office all week).
Several major issues with the bouquet:
(1.) The $ 115 dollar bouquet I paid for looked NOTHING like what is pictured on their website. The bouquet delivered to my mom was smaller and cheaper than the picture. The roses looked tiny (I think even when the roses open up, they will still look tiny) and there was a lot of green filler in the bouquet — which made it look unappealing and not colorful

I ordered the «Dozen Fiesta Roses».
2. The arrangement should have had 12 roses, but instead had 9 roses.
3. When I called Log Cabin to explain the shortage of roses issue and how the arrangement looked like a cheap version of what was one their website — they were not accommodating.
******4. I asked politely if they could refund an amount, like 5% or 3% for the cost of the missing roses that were not in the bouquet. TO WHICH THEY RESPONDED, «Someone may have just taken the flowers out of the arrangement before they got to your mother. This is not our fault»
I replied — «Given the type of place where my mom works, and where everyone knows who she is — I doubt one of her coworkers stole three roses from her bouquet. I have sent my mom non-​Log Cabin flowers before, this has never occurred. Also, your excuse to explain the three missing roses is not a comment that you should be telling a customer, because that is considered horrible customer service and is frankly rude.»
5. Then the Log Cabin Manager (via phone) asked permission to come back and pick up my mother’s bouquet, to do a replacement that would be delivered «probably tomorrow» sometime.
I told them: No, I am not going to have you deliver flowers to my mom and then take them away. I think the more appropriate thing would be a discount for missing roses (I was trying to be reasonable). I said they could make the discount whatever they wanted it to be.
6. I told the Manager that their photos on their website are extremely misleading, their bouquets in real life look cheap, they lack color, and the bouquets in real life do not look like the advertised product.
I am an attorney — and as I see from the many one star reviews on Unilocal (I should have done my research before giving this place my money), all these reviewers could probably bring a law suit against Log Cabin for their deceptive advertising.
The practice that Log Cabin continues to do is deemed misleading advertising, which is a triable issue of fact that could easily be filed in a law suit (if enough customers have faced this problem, we could even file as a class to get our money refunded.)
Also, I told the manager that I will be letting everyone I know about their poor customer service and their cheap work product.
The manager said (supposedly) that Log Cabin would drop off a bouquet again to my mom’s workplace tomorrow. I told the manager that would be very much appreciated. Yet, I did tell her to not bother dropping off a bouquet that does not remotely resemble the advertised products on the Log Cabin Website.

Order flowers for work … Not quite what I was expecting.

My family has been using Log Cabin Florist since I was a little girl. A special occasion meant flowers from Log Cabin. This weekend I ordered flowers online to have delivered to my mother as a surprise. They arrived on Monday and delighted her. Today is Wednesday, My mom said they are still gorgeous and beautifully fresh. She loves them. I live in Seattle, WA and always use Log Cabin for my mother and sister’s flowers.

I’ve went to Log Cabin for my wife for our anniversary. I went online and found way too many out of town companies trying to pass off as local, so I dropped in and found the perfect flowers for less than I was expecting. I didn’t want to ruin the surprise so i asked if they could deliver them even though I was in the store and they delivered on time. Needless to say it went over great!

Very rude on the phone when I called to check on my order. When I went to pick it up, they were rude again. I had some questions (I was the baker, the bride ordered the flowers.) There were 4 employees there and none of them could answer or cared to. They snapped that they knew nothing about the order. I asked if there were other flowers I could buy in addition, they were not happy that I asked and looked around for a few minutes but came up with only two flowers. Two as in 1, 2 not two different kinds. The person helping me proceeded to count the flowers I was picking up, breaking two of them, she did not offer to replace them.
I will never go there again!!!

Wow… Very surprised at the Bad reviews ! We have used Log Cabin for many years and many occasions… Never a disappointment ! The latest Beautiful arrangement being delivered was this past Valentines Day. My husband called and placed an order specifying exactly what he wanted, 6 red roses, 6 yellow roses and lilies… Absolutely Gorgeous in a beautiful red vase and lots of filler … 8 days later, Still Beautiful ! Please don’t hesitate to give them a try !

I spent over $ 100 on flowers for my wife on our anniversary. I walked in ordered what I wanted, filled out a card, and gave them the address. Luckily I was home to accept/​reject the order when it showed up. I opened the door to find a woman holding a dirty white 5 gal plastic bucket with the flowers loosely placed in the bucket. The card that I filled out was taped to the outside of the bucket.. REALLY… The woman who delivered them basically insisted that she take them back to have them arranged properly (this is the only reason I gave them 1 star). I called and spoke with a supervisor who could really seem to care less about the fact that my wife could’ve been the one who could’ve opened the door to this «arrangement». About 35 minutes later the delivery driver showed up with the newly arranged arrangement as promised. I will NEVER order from them again, and if I have my way neither will anyone that I know. Next time I’ll just go to VONS.

Ordered a $ 70 arrangement for my girlfriend’s birthday. Told the saleswoman that the flowers needed to be delivered at 4 PM. They arrived at 5:10, while she was out with her family having dinner. My girlfriend didn’t get the flowers, and when I called the manager to attempt to fix it, she gave two excuses: 1) I didn’t order the «on-​time» delivery option which is $ 22, and 2) There was a lot of construction on the Bakersfield roads so they couldn’t make the 3 mile trip on time.
Ok, so they’ve been in business for 75 years… You’d think they would get it right by now…
My complete disappointment led me to ask for a refund. Never again Log Cabin, never again.

Every experience I have had with this florist has been awful. I live out of the area, and twice have had flowers delivered to my mother via Log Cabin. The first time, the arrangement was really poorly done, and the flowers looked cheap (although they weren’t!). I gave them another chance, about 6 months later. The flowers showed up and my mom told me they were shriveled and almost dead. I have not ordered from them since then.
Additionally, my mother wanted some fresh holly to decorate with this Christmas. She went to Log Cabin, and the woman at the counter was apparently *really* rude to her, said that all they had was fake holly and «you’ll never be able to find fresh holly in Bakersfield…» My mom went to another florist, who not only had fresh holly but gave her a few pieces for free !!!
I will NEVER personally use Log Cabin Florist again, and I will vocally suggest the same to all of my mother’s friends in Bakersfield.

What a huge disappointment. I spent over $ 100 for a plant arrangement for my mom’s birthday. Since I live out of Bakersfield I was relying on past reviews hoping to pick a decent florist.
A week later when I came up and saw what my money had actually got, I was in shock.
It looked as though about $ 12 was spent by the florist making the arrangement.
Although the employee who took my order over the phone was very nice and helpful, I feel like I was horribly deceived.
Steer clear of this florist and do yourself a huge money saving favor.

I leave them with 3 stars. They sent out the flowers the same day, but as requested: no filers/​no greenery.
But when I saw the arrangement…
There was filler and greenery. Blah. It made the arrangement look full, but not full of flowers.
3 Stars because they are an old school florist, but come on… No Filler means no filler.
