I am extremely open to reducing the carbon footprint and going green as often as economically possible so I was pretty excited after hearing the claims Sun Solar makes on the radio. I called and had a lot of questions to ask, but couldn’t get anyone to answer unless I provided personal info like name, address, phone number etc. flag #1. After being bounced around and placed on eternal hold a salesperson came on and gave me the speel with a «lease» option. Huh? So, my savings are greatly reduced if non existent if I wish to own the product on my roof. If I lease, I not only have to find a qualified buyer for my home when I decide to sell in the next 20 years, I also need a buyer interested in assuming my solar obligation, as well as being qualified to do that. I wasn’t «told» this but rather had to really dig hard to get a straight response from these guys. Just know what you’re getting into and make sure it works for you, and don’t forget to ask the right questions, because these guys will dance around them all day long in order to get you into a twenty year commitment. There are plenty of far more affordable options that will simply require a little researching, shopping and contracting and you will OWN your system and pay far less than you will to these guys.
Sadly, as a side note, solar panels may cause as much damage to the environment during production (chemicals used and produced to make the panels) as they do in reducing the dependency on carbon based energy. So, the solar issue is really just an economics choice.

I like to do a little research when it comes to investments and home improvement. Scott from Sun Solar was straightforward and brought his, «first and best» when I asked for the bottom line. The other companies (and I sat with all of them) kept sweetening the deal that they said was their bottom line… When I ask for your bottom line give it to me!!! Stop telling me you will beat any price! Anyhow Sun was the lowest price for the most efficient panels… Installation was quick and painless… less that 60 days from the day I signed…
