I have been attending classes for a little over a year. I have seen such a transformation; physically, spiritually, and mentally. The unconditional acceptance, and positive vibe at the studio always puts me in the exact right frame of mind. The teachers truly care for their students, and have something to offer to all levels. #YogaSpaceMyHappyPlace

This yoga studio is a fun place to practice. I’ve tried three different types of courses, including Power Yoga, Hot Yoga, and Restorative Yoga. The instructors are friendly, and most classes are 7 – 10 people. Sometimes I’ve been in classes where there are only 2 – 3 students, which is very nice. Plenty of parking in the lot, and towels available for you to borrow if you forgot to bring your won.

Love the Tuesday morning $ 6 yoga hour! Kelly is an awesome instructor who is knowledgeable & attentive to students injuries or aches. Really appreciate the suggestions &/​or modifications to help improve my yoga practice.
Also a great way to start the day!
Have taken other classes as well led by Paula, Francine & Donna to name a few, all them wonderful!

I loved Promita’s Thurs 5:45 hot yoga. I’m a yoga beginner — haven’t been in yoga studio for 15 years. The heat was tolerable and actually nice — it allowed for ease of movement, no body restrictions! This was a hard workout but I loved it!

Very pretty studio. Did a hot yoga session with Ellen-​felt like I got a very good workout, however there were a few things that were a bit different than other studios I’ve been. The first is there is no mirror. Apparently this is intentional, but it makes it very difficult to be able to see if you’re holding the pose correctly. In addition, during balancing poses, I like to look into my own eyes and obviously this wasn’t possible. It made it difficult to hold the poses. Also, the room was NOT that hot. At my home studio, we crank the temps into the high 90’s and with this studo it may have been in the 80’s…may.
I’ll keep looking for a Bakersfield studio,

Hot yoga was awesome! Beware, the hot sessions are not for the out-​of-​shape! Very intense, but ultimately relaxing (hard to explain). I highly recommend it as an alternative to Bikram.
I haven’t tried the non-​hot yoga there, but based on my experience and the expertise of the instructor, I will be attending soon and eventually purchasing their unlimited membership. The instructor was very helpful and the atmosphere was very open and welcoming (but nobody introduced me or anything embarrassing like that). I felt at home from the first session.
Highly recommended. Prices are also in-​line with every place I’ve seen.

Since trying this place at their new location, I have grown to love it. So many different classes to choose from and great instructors. It’s a very cool space.

Started going to this studio a couple weeks ago. My first class was a flow class and I really didn’t enjoy that, mostly because it was not like any other flow class I’ve ever been to. I was a bit bored. Luckily I gave the studio another shot and went to a hot yoga session with Monique. This was my first hot yoga experience but she was really friendly and made the class work for all experience levels. I loved this class because she gives you an amazing workout but also does a great deal of stretching and relaxation, I couldn’t believe how amazing I felt after class. You get really sweaty so be sure to bring towels.
My favorite part of the class is the end when she turns the lights off and your totally relaxed. She even comes around with some oils to put on your forehead, if you werent relaxed before you def are now! She also has some amazing hip openers.
The studio is clean and they have a large amount of classes offered. Def recommended!

I just had an amazing restorative yoga class with Francine! Exactly what I needed today. This was my first time here, as I live in L.A., but visit family often in Bakersfield. The teacher said they’re moving to a new address next week that will be larger, and have a tea bar. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Bakersfield!

I started doing a little bit of Iyengar Yoga when I was pregnant and had bad sciatica, I started going here after I had my baby, and not only has my recovery from delivery been fast, but I am now in better shape than I have been in my life. Kathleen and Paula are amazing teachers, and every other teacher I have had has been so wonderful.
Iyengar focuses on correct alignment before anything else, so props are used in abundance especially for beginners and restorative poses. Once you have the correct alignment your teachers show you how to keep the alignment and go deeper in a pose. Each person is treated individually and made to feel special as everyone is at different stages of life and Yoga is for everyone at each stage.
The studio offers a flow (power vinyasa), restorative, medatative, Level 1, Level 1+2, Level 2 Iyengar, Hot yoga, kids, toddler and me, and soon a baby and mommy class. There is something for everyone, and their new studio is huge, amazing, and also features psycho, hypno and massage therapy! As well as a tea bar, and garden.

*** HEY ** I would like to update my review to a full five stars to reflect the beautiful new location, with additional space, classes and parking.
In response to the person who rated this place only one star: yes, if the studio is closed and locked for a scheduled class — that is about as bad as it gets. HOWEVER, I have been able to take classes at this lovely little studio. I enjoyed every one I have taken so far: Iyengar, beginner, and restorative.
I found the teachers to be cheerful, friendly and encouraging. I liked the space. It is clean, soothing, pretty. Airconditioned in the 100 degree Bakersfield heat! There are plenty of props to borrow. The other students are also good natured. It felt like a yoga «club» more than a class because people talked to each other and joked around. I like that. At some of the bigger yoga studios in Southern Californian no one talks to anyone.
If you sign up for it you get great emails from the studio. The emails include interesting articles on yoga, healthy recipes, and studio news. Even though I can’t go very often I look forward to their interesting e-​mails. Namaste!

went once, teacher was a no show, studio locked up, with 3 other people waiting in the 100+ heat. what else is there to say.

This yoga studio is really well equipped and outfitted! The ball bearing yoga wall is spectacular, and the straps, blocks, bolsters, and blankets are all good quality, and well maintained.
This is a teaching studio, and teaches Iyengar so you will be focused on total body and mind– with focus on the breath and proper positioning– a true hallmark of a good studio.
They have a cute little shop with books, clothes, and mats. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the studio– I wish it were a bit bigger, it does get crowded when Eric (the frenchman that the Real Housewives of Bakersfield love because he is totally sweet, and good looking) teaches. Christine is the best instructor so far– she gets you to do things you have never done before, asks a lot from you and makes you pretty impressed with yourself at the end of the day, especially since she is so encouraging and supportive.
There is a bathroom that is shared in the complex– it is really loud when it flushes when you are trying to relax though.
I do wish they played ambient music in the background to white noise out the street a bit (and that pesky bathroom), but I can block it out most of the time.
I am going to continue with the studio for sure, and they offer student discounts. I can’t wait to meet the other teachers– so far I have taken 3 classes and I am going to do them every day. They also have mommy and baby/​toddler classes– I don’t have a kid, but I think that is cool.
I have practiced in LA and this is right on the level that they have there– without as many self absorbed actors and actresses to deal with!
I went to the Flow class today– it was really high level, and could have had more flow, I only broke a serious sweat 2x. I wish there was more flow moves with salutations, or warrior series, or triangles, or planks with legs… a little less level 3 moves and more flow would be better.

I really enjoy this yoga studio. It has a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Also the facility is very clean and tranquil. Every once and awhile they have really good coupons and discounts so keep your eyes peeled!
