When I lived in Mt. Vernon, this was my go-to spot. Cozy setting and eclectic menu, with laid back service and some killer sandwiches. Maisy’s also has some great deals on wine($ 20 bottles!!) and good deals during happy hour. The pizzas are so good, especially the crab dip pizza. I tried all sorts of things on the menu while I lived nearby and was pleased with everything. A good mix of options, too — from basic salads to a killer barbecue goat sandwich. The one knock against Maisy’s is that the service can be a little lackadaisical. I actually like this, because along with the cozy lighting, it adds to the sense that you’re hanging out at a friend’s house since you’re not being pestered left and right. That being said, there’s been a few times where I’ve felt a little like I was left hanging.

The food ok, not too bad. If I didn’t have any other restaurants to go to or pressed for time I would go there. The reason I’m giving 2 stars is because our waiter, an older gentleman was kinda off and looked confused and high. R There’s this another young white male who was walking around back and forth between the bar and the front, intermittently serving guests. He was wearing polo and shorts — anyway, he was walking around with his hands up his back and the shorts from behind. He doesn’t realize that he is serving people food and need to clean his hands or just let the waiters do it? It’s disgusting

Just arrived in Baltimore after an early morning flight from Chicago. The hotel restaurant was not open for lunch. One hotel employee suggested this restaurant. Short walk from the hotel. Walked in around 1:30 and there was only two other tables there? Wasn’t a good sign. Then the waitress told us the computers where down and had to pay cash. Not a problem. My husband ordered clam chowder and a grill tuna wrap with spicy Cole slaw. Tuna was done perfect and a very large portion. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fry. Very good!

Maisy’s — Party of 20NY– McLean denizens who completely loved, loved loved the food and the crackerjack waitress. Nachos and old bay spice wings, crab cakes, Mac n cheese, short ribs, spicy shrimps, Raven burger and a beautiful seafood gumbo: not a bad dish on our table! And the waitress made a jumping origami frog to entertain our hyper boy. A very good experience all around!

Why can’t I give 10 stars?!? This was one of the most amazing meals my husband and I had!!! Crab and bacon Mac n cheese with extra cheesy goodness, the House of Cards(gumbo) was full of flavor and perfectly spicy, and the Coca Cola short ribs with spinach and mashed potatoes were melt in your mouth amazing. To top it off, our waitress Carla was incredible. She knows the menu by heart and made perfect recommendations for us. We can’t wait to go back!

It’s been forever since I’ve been here and it still won’t be the last time. I came in for the dinner service and got the Raven’s burger. This is not for the weak at heart — let me tell you. I don’t know who’s bright idea it was to put avocado, jalapenos, fried onions, curly q fries, mac and cheese, and chili all on one perfectly cooked burger — but I thank you. That is all. I thank God for you.

Came in with a craving for carrotts. No idea why, but the waitress immediately brought me some. She was so sweet. For her accommodation to my crazy craving, this spot already won me over. She recommended a red wine that was well priced and smooth. Just how I like it. Two for two! Had the Britney and instead of rice I got mashed potatoes. So much flavor! This place was awesome all the way around. Ambiance was great, clean, friendly staff, knowledgeable and accommodating and food that tasted amazing. Doesn’t get any better, with a menu full if items I’ll want to come back and try!

The Mac &(Blue) Cheese w Crab at Maisy’s is FANTASTIC. True, we were very hungry and it was the first food we’d eaten all day, but it would have probably been delicious regardless. The pieces of crabmeat were large & satisfying, and the creamy blue cheese had a poignant kick. Even though it was on the salty side, it still hit the spot. Ambiance is trendy & elegant, yet fun. There were candles on the tables, alongside the(numerous) beers. There were tables for two, and also couches for larger groups. There was a mix of friendly & boisterous groups, and quieter, more reserved patrons — something for everyone! There are some other interesting and tasty dishes here, like the Britney Spears(filet mignon w pineapple, goat cheese, and cherry tomatoes over rice) and the Bison Burger, but the Mac & Cheese really took home the cake(or I guess, the crab)!

Enjoyed a great dinner here two weeks ago. The service was outstanding and the food was great. The lighting inside creates a nice ambience for date nights, and you can’t beat their $ 20 bottle wines. Would definitely recommend and I would love to return to explore the menu more

Great cocktail menu and fun ambiance with lots of Christmas lights but not impressed by the food. Grilled rib eye was too salty and well done when asked for medium, but the accompanying sautéed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes were delicious. Crab cakes were good but not memorable.

I’ve probably driven past this place a thousand times without knowing. On the exterior, Maisy’s is unassuming. Once inside, you’re welcomed with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. We went on a Saturday night and were seated right away. For starters, we ordered plantain fries which came with salsa and guacamole on the side. For entrees, we ordered the mango salmon and lamb chops. For the last course, we opted for an apple crisp dessert. I can honestly say that I was not disappointed, absolutely no complaints. Everything came out hot and in a timely manner. Our server was friendly and full of energy which only complimented the experience. Oh, I forgot to mention the drinks. Definitely try a few of their signature cocktails. Add Maisy’s to your list!

I came here for lunch during snowmagadon and was pleasantly surprised. The environment is dark but inviting. The employees were attentive and friendly. I don’t know if they do happy hour but I’d want to come back for that. The brunch menu(only on Sundays) looks really tasty. I had a salad and the red curry wings which as a self proclaimed wing expert, were very good. My friend had the chicken curry and she cleaned her plate so I assume she liked it LOL. We also had the spiked hot cider which was made expertly. I’m definitely coming back!

Hidden gem(right in front of your face)! I have walked by this place so many times without ever going in… The menu is an expansive American-style cuisine with some Baltimore flare – they have everything you could want: Mac & Cheese, Pizza, Sweet Potato Fries, Maryland Crab Soup, etc. The ambiance is spot on– cozy(fireplace, exposed brick and wood, coat room) and comfortable. And while the service is a bit on the slower side, it’s a place you don’t mind waiting in. Although the menu has some oddly named items(the Britney Spears appetizer and entrée are a bit puzzling), the food is great. I ordered the grilled Buffalo Chicken Sandwich without bread. It came perfectly cooked(I love it when it’s charred on the edges), with the perfect amount of blue cheese crumbles, avocado, and the selling point– the sweet potato fries. In my group of four, three of us ordered sandwiches so we could get the sweet potato fries. The portion sizes are huge, so you won’t leave hungry. I will definitely be back.

Maisy’s delivered in a big way by accommodating a large group of lacrosse conventioneers in blizzard conditions! Kudos to our hostess/server for taking us on and doing an incredible job of not only serving with meticulous accuracy but also adding to the jovial spirit of our group. Having trekked 10 blocks in a blinding snow storm to avoid hotel buffet ‘emergency’ fare, Maisy’s was an oasis in the storm. Fairy lights, good beer/wine choices and a variety of menu items, yes! Amongst our 8 diners, not one was disappointed. Filet with crab and blue cheese a clear favorite, crab cakes equally wonderful as was the salmon and burgers. I highly recommend Maisy’s, good weather or bad, this is a neighborhood restaurant that takes their business seriously and it shows.

Maisy’s is located in the heart of downtown Baltimore on North Charles so parking was a bit difficult on a Saturday night, they have no parking lot, so street parking on a nearby garage are the only options. Instead is nice to look at, front is a nice open window looking into the street, there is also a lougey area for groups that are more interested in drinking and chatting instead of formal dining. There are also standard table tops and a long bar for up close attention from the bartender and TV viewing. Staff is friendly and accommodation, waitress was very attentive and lively. She was there when needed but also knew when to lay back to allow conversation at the table. Learned something interesting from the waitress, apparently the head chef is obsessed with pop stars hence some of the celebrity themed menu items. Food was hit and miss. Started with the calamari and it wasn’t very good. Poorly breaded, overly seasoned and lightly fried. I know Old Bay is a Baltimore stable but not appropriate on calamari. Short ribs entrée on the other hand was well prepared. Huge portion sized, meat was tender and flavorful, as big as a swing and missed the calamari is, the short ribs were a home run. As the entrée was good, I would recommend Maisy’s but wouldn’t be first on my list of Baltimore establishments.

Wide selection of American classics done well. #restaurantreview #baltimore Fire oven pizza, sandwiches, steak, salads, seafood. All fresh and high in quality. Both the Trio salad and the ahi tuna salad were great. Crisp vegetables, sweet fruit, delicate dressing — in short, good salads. Portions are generous. Very wide selection of beers. Cocktails and wine too. Vegetarian friendly — plenty of options!

If you are in the area, or not. This is the place to come. I dont like sharing my secrets… and this is one Ive been holding on too. Ive been here for lunch, dinner & happy hour. Never, Never have I been dissapointed, with any of the food or service I have recieved here. Doesn’t look like much from the outside… but do your self a favor and go. What I Recommend: Fish Tacos Wings(usually $ 5.00 at Happy Hour) Margherita Pizza Blackened Fish Wrap Crab Cake(Ive never had it but my coworkers love it) Sweet Potato Fries Watermelon Mojito Pyrat Pineapple Punch But also note, some items on the menu change often since the do use locally grown items Reasons to come: Awesome Happy Hour Great Atmosphere DRinkssssssss Brick Oven Pizza $ 20 bottles of Wine(not just Happy Hour) The Bartenders really know how to make a drink . I think Maisy’s is a great place to come if you are trying to impress a date and not break the buck, come during happy hour. Or just come for a great place to hang out. Also great place for groups… there is something for everyone, vegeterian options, meat lover options, seafood lover options, and they also have«other» types of meat(bison & goat) . Im super excited to come for brunch.

Maisy’s is the best neighborhood bar in Mt. Vernon/downtown(and, in my opinion, Baltimore). Words cannot express how much I dig this place. If you want to experience how awesome this place is with little monetary investment(not like anything here is a huge splurge anyways), come for their happy hour(s)! They have happy hour food and drink specials from 2−7pm Monday-Saturday(and after 11pm) and the ENTIRE day on Sunday. Great cocktail list to choose from and, to my utter delight, THE best margherita pizza in town. After moving to Baltimore 1.5 yrs ago, I was struggling to find a solid pizza place. Iggie’s is good, but I found it offered classy flatbread instead of flavorful, classic pizza. Homeslyce is decent, but they just overdo it on the cheese for me and lack that seasoned sauce I covet. But Maisy’s completely nails the classic basil-tomato sauce flavor with just the right amount of mozzarella on a crispy thin(but not too thin) crust. Cooked brick oven style. It’s fantastic. If you come during happy hour, you can get a whole pie for ~$ 7. I’d like to say I have tried many of the other items on the menu, but I really haven’t. Mostly because the pizza is that awesome. I can say that the seafood gumbo is good stuff and the wings and sweet potato fries do a great job at satisfying my nfl game day cravings. The bartenders at Maisy’s are as awesome as the pizza. Very friendly and always able to craft up some unique cocktails to suit your taste and thirst. Jesse makes some bangin’ rye cocktails. I always have a great time sitting up at the bar. Maisy’s has this way of making you feel like you’re always among friends. What I really love about this place is the neighborhood bar vibe. The atmosphere of this place is just so warm and welcoming. The exposed brick and dim lighting really adds to the comfortably cozy ambience of this place. I highly recommend you go to Maisy’s for some good food(did I mention the fantastic margherita pizza?), cocktails, and company.
