On the waterfront in Fells Point, PItango Bakery + Café serves artisanal breads + pastries baked in-house daily along with authentic Italian charcuterie, sandwiches, made-to-order salads and coffee. Enjoy fresh croissants and cappuccino overlooking the harbor or share platters of meats, cheeses and roasted vegetables with a basket of bread. Bring your own wine or beer (for small corkage fee).
History
Established in 2015.
The owners of Pitango Gelato – which is known in DC, MD and VA for making gelato with organic, grass-fed milk and fresh local fruit – launched Pitango Bakery with the same focus on honest ingredients and attention to detail. We were inspired by classic Italian bakeries and sandwich shops, where taking shortcuts is unheard of and there is no substitute for quality and authenticity. Our mission is quite simple: To share the miracle that happens when great bread meets an incredible cheese or Prosciutto di Parma.
