I heard about the Mallow Bar and immediately had to try it. Not only do I have a SERIOUS sweet tooth but rice crispy treats that are dressed up… that sounds amazing! I was at Horseshoe Casino with some friends and decided to pop into The Mallow Bar to get something. I love the décor and felt like I was in a dream with the marshmallow lights and the white and pink flowy décor. I loved seeing that they support local businesses and were selling other products besides their own. Yay Locals supporting locals! I ordered a chocolate covered rice crispy after waiting at the counter(only person there) for about 10 minutes. I was slightly annoyed that the workers behind the counter were chatting and working on other tasks(not sure what) and it took a while before I was even acknowledged. I thought they were going to get a rice crispy treat and warm it up slightly and give it to me on a plate to enjoy. Instead I was given a treat wrapped in plastic wrapping and placed in a brown paper bag. I was caught off guard but figured it was the taste that really mattered. I opened the wrapping and bit into a hard rice crispy treat. I couldn’t even break through the whole treat. I was incredibly disappointment especially after I been looking forward to trying their treats for so long. I will try again next time I’m at the casino and really hope it was just an off night for them.

Stale food… tasteless food!!! Espresso was too hot and it tasted like water. I’ve been to this place twice and both times I’ve had stale deserts. Cookies were totally overpriced, but this is a casino. Stale though… Unacceptable at these prices. Then the $ 5 rice crispy treat was stale as well. To top that. the gelato wasn’t rich at all and had ice crystals in it. Tasted like cheap frozen yogurt. SMDH

Gelato here was ok– not the worst, but definitely not the best I’ve ever had. If I was to judge this place solely on appearance, I would give the Mallow Bar 5 stars– it is just too pretty — the chairs, the pink colors, all of it is just so me! My favorite(along with every one else probably), would have to be the marshmallow-looking lights! If I ever come back to the casino and this place, I’ll definitely try the«Mallow bar,» aka rice Crispies dipped in other goodies(chocolate, more marshmallows, etc.) I would also try their coffee!

This is a cute venue in the casino. The beverages are merely okay, but the dessert choices are better from the gelato to the marshmallow krispies. The employees are helpful and it’s worth checking out for a quick and tasty dessert of some kind.

My experience at the Mallow Bar in the Horseshoe Casino has different layers. It has an OK layer, a bad layer and a great layer that made me give them four stars. OK– My friend wanted some coffee and we saw this place in the casino and decided to try it out. She convinced me to try some candy called OMG. I tried it and to me it was just ok. Bad– She then orders a pumpkin latte. She tries it and doesn’t like it at all. Next, she decides to try a regular latte. It wad bad as well. Great– Throughout our entire experience here the employees were extremely nice, informative and patient. The place is clean and bright and has a classic but modern look to it. Every business can have products that you may not like but they cannot have a customer service experience that is bad. This place has exceptional customer service. I will try this location again when I’m at the casino and maybe they will have something I enjoy.

Love, Love, Love this place. If you ever have a sweet tooth. This is the place to go. The selection is so great. You make think that it is pricey but, if you ever consider the taste alone of the products are rich. My favorite thing I like to purchase is the cakelove cakes in the jar. Priced at $ 5.00 most choose not to purchase it. Let me tell you that you are depriving yourself of something good. The flavors I have seen are banana foster, carrot cake, red velvet and strawberry shortcake. My personal favorite is the banana foster. It is a must for me to get this every time I come to the casino. Try it. You won’t be disappointed.

Although I love these rice crispie treats, it appears that their prices have increased since the first review. I stopped by there last night on my way out of the Casino. We were told that the prices for each treat was $ 5.50 which is substantially higher than the price at the Rosedale site and the price that a previous reviewer paid earlier in the month! The staff were wonderful and I do get that the location in the Casino may have different overhead and all but I was not willing to pay that amount for one treat. It was hard to walk away(seriously the rice crispie treats are exceptional).

Really cute store in the Horseshoe casino. I loved the marshmallow shaped lights on the ceiling. My husband tried a piece of toffee nut. I would personally never pay $ 4+ dollars for a piece of rice crispy treats. I don’t think it was anything special nor was worth $ 4. I got a small latte as well and it was not very good, either.

I had a candy bar– chocolate and toasted coconut frozen drink. It was alright and at $ 5 it actually wasn’t so expensive for being in a casino. Putting real candy bar crumble in would greatly improve the drink. I heard other people in line grumbling how expensive everything else was though. The pies from Dangerously Delicious were like $ 8 a slice. I won’t judge since I only got my drink. But that was just okay. Hopefully they get better with more experience and feedback.

As a lover and a creator of many a marshmallow-tinged treat, I was excited to find Mallow Bar in the brand-new Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore. I didn’t know prior to coming to their mini casino-based outpost that they also have a full brick-and-mortar location in Baltimore as well. You can find The Mallow Bar in the first level of the casino, in the food court-esque arcade where you’ll also find other quick-service eateries(such as a Heavy Seas Alehouse — totally should have gone there for dinner). Mallow Bar has a well-lit, charming interior décor that takes you away from the hubbub of the casino, as you’re surrounded by homemade marshmallows for sale, creative Rice Krispy treats, slices of pie from Dangerously Delicious pies, and espresso/brewed coffee drinks. They also have a small selection of savory pies and quiches, as well as some assorted cookies, muffins, and tarts. Whether you need a caffeine– or sugar-based pick-me-up to follow-up a dinner or to give you extra energy to continue gaming, The Mallow Bar is a sweet place to get your fix. I found the prices to be very fair; it cost about $ 4 for a very substantial hunk of «cookies and crème» Krispy treat, and about the same for my husband’s choice of a classic(but vanilla-tinged) Krispy treat. I also had a cup of fresh-brewed decaf coffee(weird, I know), that was surprisingly good! They do sell their own coffee here, so maybe I shouldn’t be as flummoxed as to why they serve tasty coffee. You’ll definitely want to check out Mallow Bar — it’s charming, different, the staff is pleasant and helpful, and the treats are a welcome addition to the scene at Horseshoe.
