Established in 1984.

Fabric Life Services, as Textile Care Systems, has

been catering to the Chicago Area Interior Design

Trade since 1984. We have striven, not to be the

biggest, but to give the best personal service possible

to our small clientele. Our business is service, our

customers are friends. We are happy to introduce

our own product line which we call

Fabric Life Services

Our Flagship Product «4» Guard

is the next generation in fabric protection. It gives

unsurpassed Stain protection from water and oil

based spots as well as reducing the rate of soiling.

There is none better. But what truly sets it apart is

the UV protection that reduces sunlight fading by

50% or more. Used in connection with a

simple maintenance program the «useful» (attractive)

life of any fabric or carpeting can be greatly

I Have been in the service business since I was 18, (a long time ago)

working pretty much exclusivity on the North Shore and Gold Coast.

I enjoy a challenge and problem solving and so have developed a number of products and techniques for stain removal, even pet stains on designer fabrics.

I have trained my son who also now works with me in the business.

We look forward to meeting you and being of service.

Fabric Life did an amazing job on a light rug at my work and incredibly removed a coffee stain that for sure i didn’t think would come out. When I needed my home’s 8×10 wool Persian rug cleaned, i inquired with management what company they used and they gave me the Fabric Life information. I emailed them and advised I could be texted back if need be. Neil immediately texted me back advising the estimated cost of the rug cleaning and when someone would be available. We texted back and forth to confirm. Mike the cleaner called me about 30 minutes in advance to confirm when he would arrive, in fact, arrived earlier than expected (ok by me!) and was courteous and professional. Our rug had probably never been cleaned and he did an amazing job and I am very happy. The machine was like a loud vacuum and there were two kids sleeping during the process and they did not wake up :) Look no further for someone to come to your home and clean a rug. I have another in the basement that needs some cleaning and when I have the chance, I will MOST DEFINITELY be calling him back. When you have three children and two dogs, a rug cleaner is a necessity. Thanks Neil and Mike! We’ll look forward to seeing you for the basement rug and perhaps in the neighborhood when I pass on your info to our neighbors!

I recently needed help with food stains on a couch and was referred to Neil at Fabric Life; he responded immediately, and was very detail oriented and knowledgeable in treating the fabric on my couch. Great experience start to finish! We had a terrible spot on our brand new white carpet. First one of the techs came to work on it and he made it much better but it still wasn’t perfect. So then the owner Neil came out two different times to touch it up. Now it looks great!

I have had multiple services performed by Neil including sealing and cleaning of furniture and carpets. His products certainly work because I have spilled red wine on my white couches and it has come right up with his after care kit. When I’ve needed him to come back for spot treatments he has always been quick to respond and he’s always gotten them out. This father and son company have impressed me with their professionalism and are always courteous. I will definitely continue to use them and will not hesitate to recommend them and their services.

I am the owner of Fabric Life Inc. I believe I know the client from Evanston. I have reached out to her many times. I scoured my email server to find any emails from her. The only one I found was her saying everything was good but a couple of spots needed touch up. Honestly I don’t think I replied. Things fall through the cracks but if she had asked for her money back I would have given it back. I try very hard to make my clients happy and would NEVER deliberately ignore a clients request for service. They all have my 800 number which goes to my cell 24⁄7. I answer all calls personally.
I have no idea who posted about the carpet being ruined. If they had asked for assistance in getting it fixed, even paying another company, I would have assisted.
I don’t know what else to do. I feel terrible that I have even 2 clients unhappy with my service.

Fabric life was terrible. They came to clean a simple staying, and ended up ruining two different carpets. The owner took absolutely no accountability for it. Did not only ended up costing me over $ 500 to get the carpets fixed, but they wouldn’t even refund the money that they charged me. I would never recommend them to anyone. Stay away!

I had a spot that needed extra attention. When he was finished with cleaning the upholstery, he said the spot was gone. It was hard to tell because it was wet.
The next day after it dried, there was still a faded spot. Emailed twice to ask for a reschedule to clean the spot again. No response! Good luck with the 2 year warranty they advertise. This was expensive and expected better service!
