My husband has known Andre for over 30 years, so when he discovered that his former coworker had a shop right across the street, he didn’t hesitate to go over and renew the friendship. I say friendship but what it really was was rivalry. Working at the same together, they competed for jobs and top honors. Believing Andre was a talented and legitimate «friend» who even offered to give us the «friend» discount. «What a blessing», we thought. But, it wasn’t a blessing at all. After 4 weeks and $ 2000. later, and him telling us it was fixed, we drove it home. Before we could get home, the engine overheated, which is why it was at shops Ande”s in the first place. Of course the first thing we checked was the water. Guess what? No water! That was just the beginning of things going wrong. Also, the mechanic we took it to next said Andre had replaced several parts that didn’t need replacing while breaking parts on the car while replacing unneeded parts.
Don’t let this guy anywhere near your vehicle! Not only will he screw you over, he’s a complete ass! And will make you feel like it’s your fault he didn’t fix it.

Bad attitude, sloppy work. We took an RV in for a new transmission seal. Every time we got the rig out of there, something new and unrelated was broken. First the wiring on the battery wasn’t hooked up. Then a cotter pin fell out of the steering (fortunately in a parking lot, instead of on the highway). Then the slides quit working. Then the hose was disconnected behind the oil-​fill cap (?!). Then the hood bracket was broken off from the body.
I know RV’s are famous for needing maintenance, but this seemed peculiar. Our confidence was not encouraged by the fact that they simply didn’t do what they said they were going to do much of the time, whether it was ordering parts promptly, or starting the work on a certain day. More than once we left the rig there for a week, only to find they started working on the repair the day before we needed it back.
And they were just plain rude.
We used them because they were close by, but I guess there’s a reason other automotive shops in town recommended we go to Austin for RV repairs.
