I placed my order at 6:28pm, fairly simple: torta combo with fajita meat, chips with green sauce, and a drink. I pulled up, and sat there for nearly 10 minutes. The window opened, I paid, got my change and drink. About five minutes later, the lady opened the window and asked me what I ordered. I repeated it to her, window closed again. I’m baffled, because I didn’t ask for anything fancy, nothing extra, nothing left off. «Torta all the way» is pretty self explanatory. About 8 minutes later, I got my combo. Because it took so long and she seemed so confused, I parked and checked the order. Torta is cold. I’m hungry, I ate it anyway. Two stars, one for each crappy experience with this location.

1 aqua fresco, 1 taco De lengua with cilantro and grilled onions, 1 taco de barbacoa with cilantro and grilled onions and 1 steak quesadilla, super cheesy and it can with your choice of beans and I chose with charro beans. So good, didn’t disappoint, meat portion was great! Came back for the weekend bc Menudo and pozole only on weekend and the pozole was delicious.

Before I start, I’d like to mention that we’ve eaten inside and gone through the drive-thru and the drive-thru is the better option by far. The service we’ve received on three separate occasions was slow and quite abysmal. Get your food to go! Their tacos are 1.99 $ and they are delicious! We always get 15(family of four) with fajita beef, cilantro and fresh onion. You can have avocado added on and be in absolute heaven. You also get your choice of flour or corn tortilla, which I love. If you’re feeling really hungry, get the super California burrito. This thing is HUGE and is enough for dinner and lunch the next day. They also have quesadillas, chicken tacos, guacamole, nachos, etc. Let’s talk about the guacamole. This place does it right! Lemon juice, cilantro, tomatoes, and plenty of salt and pepper. It was PERFECT! Kinda pricy but I’ve never had an over abundance of fat in my fajita beef and everything comes out fast, hot and the service is spot-on. A better alternative to Taco Bell or Taco Cabana.

Let me first start by saying I’m from Corpus Christi. That means there are probably more taquerias there than all other eateries in Corpus combined. You could eat a breakfast taco every day for a month from a different place and still stay inside a 20 mile radius. So there is never a decent taco more than a hop skip and jump away. Decent is defined as served inside a hot, fresh made flour tortilla, with hot gooey goodness oozing out on your fingers, with enough filling to keep you feeling satisfied until lunch time. This taco did not meet all of the decent taco criteria. This taco was $ 2.50 for a bean and egg with cheese that fit in the palm of my hand. The tortilla was hot but not memorable, the amount of filling was sub par. Very watered down beans smothered in a single egg topped with velveeta-like cheese. The size of the tortilla severely limited filling possibilities. Was not served with the standard salsa or ranchero sauce that is required for that extra zinggy deliciousness. The general appearance of the taqueria itself gave me the feeling that it was probably a good taqueria at one point, but has since become a chain of profit machines, sacrificing quality for quantity, which makes no sense because there was only a single car ahead of me and it still took them 15 minutes to prepare 6 tacos. The menu to me looked similar to the oh so popular taco cabana. Needless to say it was a disappointing and expensive 3 bite taco. Would not recommend it to a friend, and probably won’t eat there again.

Food was fantastic and waitress was so sweet and attentive. Not as inexpensive as I expected but would definitely come back! The salsa is PERFECT.

It looks like fast food, but you sit down instead. Boyfriend has been there before, so I’ll start with his previous thoughts. The California burrito lasted him 3 meals, which is saying a lot. He said it was good, a few pieces of meat were not as tender, but overall he enjoyed it. He’d also had the fajitas, and said the chicken, beef and shrimp were all good. On to today… the waitresses are very sweet and attentive. The chips have some greasy ones, but if you avoid those you’ll be happy. Salsa is good, but I wish it had a little more kick. I got taco meat nachos, which were more like a picadillo mix than taco meat. But it was goooood. The only downside was that they put way too much cheese on them. And, although they were supposed to come out with lettuce on them, hey didn’t. No biggie, I ate them as they were. I used the bowl of chips instead of the ones beneath the nachos because they got a little soggy. He got the tacos al pastor. They were good, but he really enjoyed the rice and beans. That was probably the highlight for him. We also got the queso with taco meat added… it was good, nothing special but we’d order it again.
