These guys are nice! I bought a car detailing form them. They were nice and courteous. Had a plan put together. Although I wasn’t expecting to leave my car there for 6 hours It was worth the way. Stains of years gone by had vanished, my floor mats that were caked with ground in life looks like new. The funk I had tried everything to get out was finally gone! Great job, nice people. I’m impressed and will be using them again!

Purchased an interior detailing package from Groupon. I have a honda accord and it is considered a small car so it was $ 79. I made an appointment for the next day. Upon arrival, I was greeted and helped quickly and they were quite busy. I also purchased an exterior wash for $ 25 since my car was so dirty. I was told it would take 4 – 6 hours. I called in the afternoon, said it would be ready in about 20 minutes and I planned to be there in about an hour.
When I came to pick up my car, they said it was ready but it wasn’t. I had to point out that the tires hadn’t been dressed so it took another 15 minutes or so. Overall, very happy with the interior detail and it was definitely worth the $ 79. I was not as impressed with the $ 25 car wash, the corners of the rims and windows were still dirty. The customer service I experienced in store was helpful and courteous as well.

I had them hard-​wire a dash cam and a 5-​port accessory charger into my ’96 Tacoma. Neither item was purchased from Car Toys, but I thought that a good stereo installation in the past would mean satisfaction this time. I was charged for 2 hours of labor for a job that took less than 1.25 hours. In addition, the technician left a bunch of stripped insulation, cut wire ends, and discarded packaging scattered on my floor mats. I’ve had good results from them in the past, but this experience was a little below my expectations.

Took in my 15 year old Ford Focus to have the interior detailed. Jace, the Assistance Manager, could not have been more professional. I was so impressed I looked around for other stuff in the store I might need and ended up getting a whole new keyless entry system. If you are getting a car detailed make sure to ask for detailer named Aldo. He totally nailed it. My old POS car looked brand new when Aldo was done with it.

Excellent detail job. Car Toys did an interior detail with ozone treatment in my MINI Cooper. Friendly service, very detailed detail. And when I tried to give the nice fellow a $ 20 tip, he refused to accept it – heck, I wanted to tip him for his great work! I look forward to doing business there again.

Well, close, but no cigar. The reply to my review here was meant to remedy my terrible experience, but there was no follow up after I emailed corporate. I imagine everyone else that emailed got the same lack of response. It would have been nice to hear back, but I didn’t, and still feel like I wasted close to $ 100 for a «detail». I could go to the car wash down the street and pay $ 16 for the same service.

Don’t get an install here. Avoid these guys like a bad cold. Buy online and have the neighbor kid do it. The install quality will end up better and cost waaaay less.
We bought a new stereo head unit (blue-​tooth hands-​free whatever) and told the sales guy, the manager and the installer that we wanted the original stereo back and that this was a temporary install, so don’t damage anything since the original stereo will be going back in soon. Long story there. Anyway, they ripped the face off the old stereo, so it wasn’t usable anymore. Awesome. They never mentioned it, they just put the pieces into the trunk like we wouldn’t notice. When we pointed it out, they threw a confused look and then delivered the standard response: it was old and old stuff falls apart. Hmm. I just pulled the exact same stereo out of the same make/​model/​year car at the junk yard, and I, not a professional stereo installer, was able to do it without the right tools nor damaging the unit. STRIKE ONE.
A few weeks later, we returned to switch the stereo out of the original car into another one. They removed the head unit fine, but left behind many black fingerprints on the light grey felt around the A-​pillar when they removed the little microphone thing. Sweet. The felt doesn’t sit properly against the windshield anymore, making the car look trashy. STRIKE TWO.
When they removed the old stereo, they jammed the old wiring deep into the console so we couldn’t really see it. We could just barely see colored wires. As I mentioned above, I got a replacement stock stereo at the junk yard to replace the one they broke. I went to install it, and discovered that they cut up all of the original wiring and tossed the original plugs. So, now I will need to go back to the junkyard to get the original plugs from the car I got the stereo from so I can get things back to what it should have been. We paid them almost $ 100 for install parts, I have no idea what those parts could have been based on what I saw. STRIKE THREE.
They didn’t listen. They didn’t do what was asked. When confronted, they shrugged and cashed the check. They charged for an installation kit that apparently was code for «cut your wiring all up and make electrical pasta in your dash». Don’t go here. Buy a stereo online and install it yourself. For that matter, try craigslist for an installer; you’ll get as good a guarantee. If you have this shop install your stereo, plan to be charged too much, have your wiring harness screwed up along the way and greasy fingerprints stain your light-​colored interior. Bad bad bad.

I never write reviews because I feel the people with the worst experiences are usually the only ones to take the time to spread the word on their horrible experience. In this case though, I made an exception to hopefully steer someone else away from making the same mistake I made when taking my car to Car Toys in Beaverton for a full service «detail».
I took my car in for an interior detail after purchasing a groupon for this service. Once I was there the man helping me went through everything that would be done, and also what he recommended to be done. I was planning on having the exterior done else where because I need a BUFF and WAX done and wanted to go somewhere with more experience. After pitching a full service detail that seemed so confident I asked if they could do a buff and wax with exterior detail there, and of course he said YES! I was told I would have leather seat treatments, full car and tire detail as well as the interior.
Long story short, I went to pick up my car and there were still dried bugs on the front grill, side mirrors on sap on the roof. I am not confrontational, and realized the men working when I picked up my car were not the ones that had actually done the work earlier that day. I told them I would drop my car off the next day to have it redone. Talked to Rene the manager who said it would be redone. Got my car back a second time and there were still markings all over the car that any basic ACTUAL buff and wax would have taken care of. There were still stains in the interior. The seats were still dry, no leather treatment done yet they left their armorall bottle of product under my seat and I paid a total of $ 300 for this service.
I requested my money back so I could go somewhere else but was told that was not possible. This is a corporation. It is most definitely possible. Rene the manager could care less about the dissatisfation, and I even contacted corporate numerous times without any calls back about the issue.
I highly recommend if you are wanted a quality detail GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I gave Car Toys a chance due to the confidence the man showed me when checking in my car, but through a horrible experience I see that they are the WalMart of auto detail and services, and to not expect any more than that from their quality of care. I was more than nice considering the circumstances, but goes to show unless you throw a fit, they can care less about their name on the work they put out.
FROM SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT LIVE FOR BAD REVIEWS, TRUST ME… SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND GO SOMEWHERE MORE EXPERIENCED and pay the extra money to have it done right. I should of lit the $ 300 on fire. would have gotten more from it than what I did at this Car Toys.

We went to get a new stereo for our older vehicle for a birthday present on 8÷23÷2015 Sunday. We had been in a couple months back to window-​shop, but weren’t sure what to get.
We were looking around in the store for over ten minutes and my significant other finally had to ask the front desk to find someone to help us, which took another chunk of time. This visit, without even inspecting the vehicle, Alex the sales guy told us that the less expensive item would require a 60 $ ‘bracket charge’ that would cause the cheaper item to ‘cost more’ than the more expensive item. The sales guy then proceeded to grab the wrong (cheaper) product’s box, yet rang us up for the more expensive item (Somehow, there was no extra 60 $ ‘bracket charge’, even though the less expensive stereo was installed into our vehicle). The install guy didn’t check that the invoice matched the product. Even the front desk guy (who came out to show us how to use it) saw this stereo and didn’t realize the mistake. When we noticed the error and brought up that the stereo was the incorrect model, the parties involved then claimed that installing the new stereo would only take a few moments, since all of a sudden «they use the same brackets». Also, my SO saw other cars being vacuumed and ours wasn’t, and that really annoyed as we waited an hour and a half (for the wrong stereo), so why not?
The only explanation given to us was that «the boxes are right next to each other on the shelf, and look similar». How about checking the item #, bar code, SKU or UPC? Anybody?
I’m pretty sure these people are stealing from your company, and stealing from your clients.

I took my car in yesterday (7÷22÷2015) to get the interior detailed. My dad called on 7÷21÷2015 to make an appointment. They said bring it in at 9 am. So on ⁷⁄₂₂ i brought it in at 9am and gave them my keys and the groupon. I signed the paperwork and gave them my keys. My dad picked me up 45 minutes later and i asked him if they were working on my car (i went to starbucks). He said no. I thought that was weird because i was the only 9 am appointment. But whatever. I then called them at 4:30pm and they said oh well there were two cars ahead of me and one detailer. Weird since i got there when they first opened. But they said it would be done by 6:30pm. I tokd them to leave my keys in the glove box and i will pick it up after that.
When my dad dropped me off he took a look and the front seats and mats were perfect. Back mats were perfect. Back seats still had the stains and a few tuny crumbs but oh well.

Brought in my 98 4runner yesterday to get the stereo system replaced with something with an AUX jack and bluetooth capability. The representative was very knowledgeable and walked me through the different options they had, in addition to additional charges to that on the sticker price of the stereos because of installation costs and additional necessary parts.
Installation was quoted at 2 hours but ended up taking only a little more than an hour. The representative also took the time to set up my phone bluetooth pairing for me when he handed the keys over. Couldn’t be more satisfied with their service. Thanks for giving me a much needed upgrade!

Gary has been fabulous with our stereo and navigation needs. Great customer service.

Car detailing: I purchased a groupon for the service, called them in the morning and was able to get the service done the same day. The customer service I received explaining the details of the service was great. I’m amazed they spend a full 4 hours detailing the car!
I am very please with the outcome of the service and will be back again for more detail services in the future.

After going through another installer for my prior vehicle (and all the weird issues that came with that), I was much more careful about an updated car stereo for my new baby, a mid-​2000s BMW 325i. I «pre-​interviewed» this location as part of the process in selecting a good stereo with the features I wanted. After boasting a «BMW expert» on their staff and getting answers to specific questions I had, I went with this Car Toys.
Purchase and installation scheduling was easy, but I realized when I purchased that the story from the prior day’s salesman about the last day of a sale on the stereo I purchased was not true. Egh, mistakes happen.
During the install, a person who treats leather approached me and gave me a discount on their «industrial strength» cleaning and conditioning process since he was idle anyway. Pretty good results, but the chemicals were incredibly harsh. I had a business road trip scheduled for the next day (8 hours of driving over the 14-​hour day). The off-​gassing from this treatment was so irritating that, even with continuous ventiliation, my nose and throat burned during my business meetings and then two days after I got back. The solvent scent lasted for about one month. Not sure «industrial» clean was the best choice for my car and commuting habits.
During that eye-​watering trip, I realized what I was told during the screening process was not true. The Blue Tooth (BT) car phone did not run through my existing internal mic system. I lost my iPod connection in the glove box. The volume no longer modulated based on road speed (automatically louder on the freeway). Unlike other systems, the Google Maps and other voice overs didn’t play while BT was activated unless the channel was reserved as BT… so I couldn’t be listening to the radio. Also realized that (assuming they connected the internal antenna properly), the digital FM signal failed far earlier while I’m traveling across broadcast areas, resulting in significant dead zones in my favorite stations compared to before.
It is frustrating to know what you want, ask the right questions of a professional, and still end up with a less than great experience. I would try something different next time.

For me, this experience was a 5-​star experience.
I purchased a vehicle (1994 Toyota Camry) and I purposely set aside some extra money to update the vehicle with window tinting and stereo. The car is only for 1 year or 2 years until I can pay cash for a new truck.
I should mention before I write this that I have had prior work done here. Mark (Who I would highly recommend you request) rewired a cigarette lighter in my box truck so that I could power a GPS unit for work. He did it for FREE. that’s right, FREE!
So, fast forward to June 11^th, 2015 — When I brought my car in.
I did not call ahead, and I was working with a very tight schedule (Car was out of the window tinting place at 2:45. And I had an plans to watch game 4 of the nba finals at 6)
When I got to the location, Gary Bliss fielded my questions and told me that they would be able to get to my car today. I asked if they could finish by 6 and he said he could do that by having multiple installers work on it. I was extremely thankful for this.
The sales process was great — I showed up with a Kicker Comp amp and the matching Kicker Comp subs already purchased, but needed the deck, and the door speakers.
Gary walked me through the different speakers and different sounds. Very good to get to hear and compare the different speakers in their soundproof booth. Once I had chosen my deck, inline amp, and speakers we grabbed the necessary cables and went to the checkout — checkout was smooth and I paid $ 1,142.00 dollars for a Kenwood KDC X3 and 4 Infinity speakers and an Alpine amp and all cables and installation and a 4 year full coverage plan that’s transferable for when I sell the car!
I then paid cash and left while they got right to work.

Upon arriving my car was already finished (It was only 5:45!) and they were putting the final touches on it.
At this point Gary walked me through the operation of my new stereo and we cranked it up to hear it. I will say this — His recommendations were spot on as the stereo sounds EXTREMELY clean — and very punchy. But not overly bassy. He then took the time to set the equalizer to my preference! Cosmetically the installation is very clean. There is no evidence that anyone even changed my speakers — except for the amazing sound.
I purposely waited a few days to write this review to make sure all the electronics in my car are working well and they are. Not a glitch. (Though I think my subs blew out my old taillight bulbs because I’ve had to replace them both since install!)
Overall 5 out of 5 — Gary was a great salesman, not pushy, but listened to what I actually needed and wanted. Mark is of course the best. A very humble and quiet dude he just works. He’s got great work ethic. I like him a lot. And Gus, who helped install to speed it along.

I’ve been here before, I wanted a system put in and couldn’t quite pay for it completely. Got a custom sealed dual 12″ sub box with two Kicker Comp-R’s (2&4ohm selection), Kicker 1,200watt amp, an Alpine amp for my four in cab speakers (2×6 ½’s and 2×6 by 8’s).
They have a progressive no credit finance option with a 10% interest off the bat, went for it and payed it off before three months.
If you do have the money, I do suggest paying for it all upright as the 10% is based on your total cost and not on what you can’t cover.
My other car just went to sh*t so I got my old system pulled out at half price labor because they put it in, then got the dash kit for my new car and they held my equipment while I got my car situation figured out.
They are so up-​beat and helpful and really want to provide service so they will flex a little bit for you — my system is rocking, great sunny blue day in my shiny new silver Chevrolet 2013 Impala LTZ!

Going to Car Toys has always felt a little off to me. I’ve purchased, and had installed, two stereos from them. In both cases the prices were more then I was quoted when I first came in because they had to add extra parts to make it work right. And I wasn’t consulted for those before they happened.
But this last time was for auto-​detailing. My wife purchased a Group-​On coupon as a gift for me. $ 99 for a normally $ 180-​something service. She didn’t read the fine print apparently.
Problem #1; Getting it scheduled wasn’t a huge deal, but I wasn’t told the service would be 4 – 6 hours in length. I had to walk home because I hand’t arranged a ride.
Problem #2; The Upsell! The coupon didn’t cover things that I feel are basic in a detailing service, IE, an actual car wash and cleaning the seats. Car wash was an extra $ 10, each «row» of seats is $ 40 extra. I decided to go with just the first row because it really did need it. They called back later and offered the second row at half price. They wanted to charge $ 25 to clean my fogged lens, and then offered a wax job that I didn’t catch the price on.
Problem #3; The quality of the job they did was pretty poor in my opinion. Pieces of newspaper stuck in the cracks between the front window and the frame. Gunk still on the dashboard and ash tray. The stains they claimed would come right out with the extra I paid for the seats were still there. They didn’t remove the after-​market steering wheel cover to clean up under it.
Maybe I just expect too much, but when I hear the word «detailing» I kind of expect to be coming back to a vehicle that looks close to brand new.

Talk about service after the sale! I bought an amp here for my Honda about 10 years ago, and a few little issues have cropped up over the years., blown fuse in amp, blown fuse on battery., and they’ve always fixed it for FREE. What Amazing customer service! It’s what brought me back to have a new Sony head unit and Alpine speakers installed in my new ride, an Audi TT. Plus they were able to fix the malfunctioning keyless entry for about 60% of what the dealer quoted me. John F was my salesperson, Jonathan was one installer and Mark was the other, and they both rocked! Johnny Walker helped me too. Great service from everyone all the way around. I’m VERY pleased! Oh, and John F really knows his stuff. He is a true audiophile! Thanks guys! 5 stars!!!

My first experience at car toys was awesome! I was just coming in to get a quote on a sub for my new Jeep. The manager was great and went beyond to answer all my questions. The price was too good to pass up! The sub I liked was on sale and I received discounts on everything due to my work. Two hours later I had my new sub installed.

I’m very dissatisfied with car toys. I have been going to them since my first car and after one time at the canyon rd location, I am done. I felt so pressured to buy something I was not comfortable with. Its been two months and I get upset all over again when I get in the car. My boyfriend went in right after I had the camera and stereo put in to to get the right cords that connect to his phone that I was told would come with it (cause I got it to work with my bf’s phone) and they charged him extra. Im still very unhappy with this car toys.
