Sunset Mini & RV Storage

Not a fan. Rented two units and got hit with an extra month of rent due to their 30 day notice to vacate policy. Why does a storage locker place need the same amount of notice as my landlord? Would definitely recommend one of their competitors who prorate in and prorate out with no need for outrageous notices. Also, the person working the phone was rude through the checkout process. Save your time and go somewhere else.

Rented a truck at 5 pm. The lady strongly requested we have it back by 9 am so «she could rent it again». Even made me initial I would have it back by 9 even though it was clearly a 24 hr rental. Greedy business practices make for annoying customer service. We brought it back when we were done, around 11 but I found her request horribly greedy. Will try to avoid this one in the future.

We stored here for about a year and a ½ until we bought our home in OR. Then we rented trucks from them for the move. The owners and staff are friendly, professional, and go out of their way to accommodate their customers’ needs. They also recommended the great movers we used. Highly recommend them.

We’ll reserve rating until we see if they follow through.

My best friend has stored her stuff here at this location for seven years. When going with her I was amazed at how friendly and nice the employees were and how out of their way they were just to be good to the people that use their storage also their prices are amazing and I would not store my stuff anywhere else in this area besides here definitely highly highly recommend it.

I have to agree with everyone. The customer service cannot be beat. Rachel is extremely helpful and very friendly.

I used this location yesterday for UHAUL local and was seriously impressed with the customer service.
I was about 15 minutes late dropping it off due to me being a moron and not giving myself enough time, and they didn’t charge me for another day.
Plus UHAUL has a new online check in feature which makes it WAY faster to get your keys on be on your way.
I will definitely use this location in the future!

I rented a trailer here once to haul a large appliance for my business. They had a great selection of rental trucks and trailers and the prices were great.
I also liked that they had everything else I needed, (and didn’t know that I needed) to hitch the trailer to my Jeep, available onsite for purchase.

From the minute I walked in the door I was greeted with smiles, and courteous service. I was really impressed with all the staff who have helped me so far, Jesse and Carena. I got all the info I needed and got to see an empty unit to get an idea of what the place looks like and how well it’s maintained. I opted for a 5×10 unit and Jesse set me up with a move-​in date and a truck rental. He gave me a smokin’ deal by taking the $ 19.99 amount to rent my truck and taking it off my first months rent. Talk about awesome! I love a good deal. The other thing I love about this place is it’s month-​to-​month, so it’s flexible if I no longer need it I’m not stuck in some contract for months and months of a space I don’t need. I just have to give them the traditional 30-​days notice. I think he also mentioned that I can downgrade if I need to as well, which is perfect!
The day I started moving my stuff in it was pouring rain and Carena really worked hard to make sure everything went smoothly for me. I am so excited to know that I am storing my belongings somewhere where it is secure and the staff has my back! Thanks guys!

So we move to Sunset Storage after a horrific experience with Public Storage, in which they attempted a bait and switch on unit and rates. They actually went in and changed our reservation to a smaller unit without even asking us, leaving us at the same charges as the large unit. Yikes! No resolution from the on-​site staff, even though they admitted that they had the larger unit available. We found Sunset only because we had to find a U-​haul pronto, and then found out they had storage as well. I was so relieved to meet the front staff — friendly, personable, intelligable, honest — 180 degrees from Public Storage. They were even understanding and kept the charges down when I scuffed up their U-​haul. When I called in to ask what their cancellation terms are, because we no longer need the space, they said they would give us the 2-​week notice terms rather than contract, since that worked better for us. How nice can they get?
