Nice consignment shoppe. Found some shorts further on sale at the end of the season. Everything seems to be nice quality and the prices are good. There were women’s clothing, shoes, purses that were well organized.

What a wonderful shop! This was the first stop of an entire day and evening(late holiday hours to boot) of shopping with a dear friend whose mission it was to introduce me to her favorite haunts. The staff are friendly and helpful, the consigned items are obviously hand picked for quality, style, and pristine condition. I found the prices to be very reasonable as well. I have never found so many items to try in one visit to any consignment shop. It was very definitely my very favorite stop. I wish I lived closer by so I could visit more frequently.

My review is based on consigning through Encore, not on my shopping experience. They are very disorganized and have poor communication with consigners. I consigned multiple items a few months back and went back to pick up what didnt sell. I noticed one particular item was missing, without explanation. I asked what happened to the item as it was not paid to me or on the inventory of items that had sold. She responded that they couldn’t find it and that it must have been stolen. She said they are not responsible for stolen items(I understood that from the contract) but I was not impressed that they were not even going to account for the item to me or explain that that it had been stolen and just figured I wouldnt notice. I told another employee about this and she explained that perhaps the other employee didnt want to get into and avoided the confrontation. Odd. I think they have an obligation to consignors to notify them their item is not being paid for or returned to them. It wasnt a big deal as it was a sweater and not very costly, however, I would be reluctant to consign anything of value because they are very nonchalant about the fact items are stolen and too bad for you if they are. Also, they do not send out reminders via email or call you to come get your things after you are given the initial paperwork. I wouldn’t go through the hassle again and will just donate my stuff.

Happy New Year! And Happy New Review! :) I strolled into this boutique since I had time to kill before the holiday pub crawl(… yes, I don’t drink, but I drank juice :)). As you enter, you are greeted with great treasures immediately … leather coach bags, silk scarves, cute baby sock cupcakes, and beautiful sea glass ornaments(esp since it is the holidays). There are racks of clothing organized by size and category of sweaters, coats, etc. As I browsed further, I got into great conversation with the proprietor of the boutique, Margaret. She is very down to earth and an artist! I clicked with her instantly … about various art and crafts. She also features local artists with their knit headband/ear warmers and hats, etc. As you go further into the store, there are shoes and then the markdown area. Items, like in other consignment shops, mark down after some time … it’s 30% off after 2 months. I found a pair of ferragamo boots that were beautiful, but just not in my size argh! hehe… someone else will find that hidden gem to take home! Encore also carries some jewelry, but I did not peruse that display as much; I will next time I visit. The store is very organized and has a warm welcome feel! I will definitely visit the store again when I am in the area!
