Established in 2009.

The owner of Health Connections Virginia has been treating Head Lice since 1990 but it wasn’t until 2009 that she began doing it professionally. In 2014, Health Connections Virginia began using the «Shepherd Method» (exclusively). This method uses non-​toxic products and strand-​by-​strand combing.

My name is Wendy Freeman, a registered nurse living in Bedford, Virginia. As a nurse, I’ve worked with clients who’ve had head lice using the traditional OTC products and flimsy combs that came with these kits just like when we had head lice as a family in the 1990’s. In 2014 I wanted to use a safe, proven, and effective method with my clients, so I went to West Palm Beach Florida to train at The Shepherd Institute. After extensive training, I am proud to say that I am certified in the Shepherd Method of strand by strand treatment. I am available to treat you and your children at our treatment center in Bedford, VA.
