Solar Solutions Window Tinting

I brought my car to Solar Solutions to get my windows tinted today and am very happy with their work. This is the fourth vehicle of mine that I’ve taken to them for window tinting and they have never disappointed. Friendly, fast service and they are very talented at what they do. Highly recommended… I would give them 10 stars if I could!

So I had to get my tints redone because it didn’t pass emissions. Apparently, the guy from Best Buy who installed it for me told me that it was 35%, turns out to be 14% from the emission inspector. What a waste of money. If you’re asking why don’t I just go back to BB and have them fix it. Well, that was in another state when I got it done so it wouldn’t work here in MA.
Anyways, I searched online for a tint place and this place popped up. I went ahead and made a reservation. The price that was given to me was:
To remove tint from window: $ 20 per window
To install tint on window: $ 40 per window
When I was looking for this place, I wasn’t able to find it. So I called and they told me it is a white residential looking building with a big parking lot. After they told me this, I became immediately skeptical about this place. The place was a bit small, but the work didn’t take too long so I didn’t mind. In the end, the work was excellent compared to the guy from Best Buy. It just looked more professional. I believe that the guy from BB didn’t have much experience installing the tints.
I would definitely come back to this place for any car tinting job and would recommend it to others as well.

Outstanding work at a very fair price.
Looking for someone to apply window tint to my 2013 Ford Fusion, I found Solar Solutions on Unilocal.Called and made an appointment for the following week to have the work done while I waited.
The whole experience was outstanding from start to finish. They called the day before my appointment to confirm the time. When I arrived we walked through the options for how dark to tint the windows. I picked a 35% tint which was the lightest they had, but the darkest that’s legal in Massachusetts. They use only top-​quality 3M materials that come with a lifetime warranty against adhesive failure, peeling, delaminization, and fading.
I did ask about darker tints, which they offer if you want to gamble and which might have looked even better than the 35% on my bright white car. But I decided that there was too much risk of failing inspection if the shop actually measures light transmission, as Solar Solutions warned me some of them do. I appreciated having the choice and all the information, though.
The whole job took a couple of hours and was done while I waited, taking advantage of their wifi to get some work done. They cautioned me not to open the windows for 3 days or so and placed stickers over the window switches in the front seat as a reminder. They also said to watch for any tiny moisture bubbles between the window and the film, and if they didn’t disappear within two weeks bring the car back to have that window re-​done.
Fortunately I didn’t have to do that. The car looks fantastic and has been much more comfortable on the heat summer days. Great job overall.

Just got my windows tinted on my sonata and it looks great. Great price and awesome service. Fast, professional and very honest people. Tints came with a warranty gave instructions on how to handle. Everything worked out great from the initial phone call to backing out the garage. Thanks a lot Solar Solutions keep up the great work.

If you’ve never been to a shop that does tints, consider this one, one of the best.
Answered the phone, took reservations, called to make sure you were coming in, had a comfortable waiting area, did a great job and were quick. That’s all you need!!!

Went to Solar Solutions after seeing two co workers get their windows tinted there. I called to schedule an appointment and the earliest opening was two weeks out but it was well worth the wait. I arrived and waited in a side room on a comfortable couch and watched the first 30 minutes of The Town on DVD while they put the tints on my windows. It was an easy process, the people there where really friendly and they do incredible work. I highly recommend this place.

Aight, so here’s what it is on the lo. I came roughly 10 mins late (because I’m a tard and got lost) nevertheless the receptionist was courteous (a little annoyed) and professional and they still honored my appointment. The location is clean and comfy, tv, cable, wi-​fi, a/​c, etc. They did an excellent job and I strongly recommend them.

I’m a window tint noob. Never tinted my windows before but I had to for my SUV because the factory windows had 0% tint, which means anybody from a mile away could see what the inside of my trunk looks like.
With that said, I believe they did a pretty solid job. Receptionist gave me all the info I needed and offered to tint my rear/​trunk window darker than the rest. There’s a lifetime warranty and they’ll give you a «discount» if you say you’ll pay cash ahead of time.

Was referred by a friend who used them and was very impressed, and I can see why. They tint car windows and they do a fantastic job.
Called to schedule tinting for 5 windows on my 2010 Subaru Legacy and they were booked out just under a week. Received a confirmation call the day before my appointment. As other reviewers pointed out, the place is a bit hidden so give yourself an extra 5 minutes.
Showed up, discussed what I wanted done (legal limit) and process took just under 1 hour. They have waiting room which had TV and movies if you choose to hang out there (I took a walk).
Quality was top notch! Windows look amazing! Couldn’t be happier with tesults.
Lastly, be prepared to NOT to open you windows for at least three full days after tints are installed.

Cannot recommend this place enough!!! One of the best tinting place in Greater Boston area. They are professional all around. They do exotic cars and treat every car like it is their own. They use high grade tint film and have multiple options to choose from. The best part about it is that the tint is cut out by the machine to fit perfect and the install takes about 45 minutes for the whole car. I get all of my vehicles done here and recommend all of my friends to go here. Great service and life time warranty for bubbling, fading, and peeling as long as you are the original owner of the vehicle when the tint was installed. Great service all around!!!

I’m the owner of World Auto Body in Brookline Ma. For any tinting needs, I use these guys. They have never let me down or missed an appointment. The majority of our work is high end vehicles. They are very clean and very careful and always pick up after they are done. I could care less how busy they are I’ll wait no problem.

This is a quality tint shop. First, with a little research on the web, I learned that most Honda/​Acura cars need to have felt installed in the weather strip of the car to prevent tints from scratching when opening/​closing windows. Most shops I called had never heard of this and didn’t offer to install it. As soon as I told these guys I had an Acura, they immediately told me about the felts and made available as an option. Good sign that they know what they’re doing.
Yes the place is hard to find, but keep your eyes open when you get near the address, there’s a tiny sign at the end of the driveway. The waiting room is nice enough: TV, movies, wi-​fi, etc. Told them I wanted the tint to be legal, which is 35% in MA. They factored in the glass already has a small tint from the factory, and applied a 45% film to give me a net of 35% final tint (factory tint+applied tint). The result came out awesome. The pieces are all precision cut, back window done in one piece (another sign of high quality). Took 1.5 hours, which is about 30 mins longer that normal but they had to install the felts, justifying the extra time. Final price came to 240 (180 tint + 60 felts). Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Thrilled how good my car looks now. Highly recommend!

I arrived early to find them waiting for me and they got right to work as soon as I pulled in and selected the tint I wanted. This has never happened to me anywhere before. Usually there is always some wait for something. They were so fast and professional and they did an amazing job at a competitive price. I love my tint and I will be back with every car I purchase from now on. I highly recommend Solar Solutions.

It was definitely a little hard to find the location as previous reviewers had mentioned and the shop and waiting room were not anything to write home about, but I’m not really looking for much in a tint place.
It took about 3 minutes to discuss the tint percentages, a little over an hour for the installation and 3 minutes to pay by cc and fill out the warranty information. The pricing was competitive and there are no weird fees or anything. The tint came out perfectly and I couldn’t be happier with it. The team was also very professional and I would absolutely get another car tinted here.
The only recommendation I would add is to make sure you are clear on what % film you want vs. overall percent (as they factor in the factory tint %).

Solar Solutions does outstanding work. I have know brought 5 cars to him to have my windows tinted and badges removed.
Prices are very good compared to his competition. I would pay more given the quality of work. I have never had to bring any cars back to touch up or remove bubbles. The windows have cured flawlessly every time.

Had my 5 door VW GOLF TDI Hatchback tinted here after reading many good reviews and seeing 35% (legal) on a friends GTI. Looked GREAT.
Got an appointment for a weekday afternoon no problem. I was about 15 mins late, and called they said no problem just get here and we will take care of you.
Place wasn’t hard to find, they have signage on the road you have to look for. Started working on the car right away, while I worked on their wi-​fi in their nice little waiting room. Got to see the whole process start to finish, did 35% on side windows and 18% on the back window and small rear windows.
Looks amazing, cured in a matter of days and NO FLAWS WHATSOEVER. They applied the tint very professionally, gave me a lifetime warranty on the tint and seriously the cutting job around the rear window is superb which is a tough area.
*Side note they have a wall preview of the degrees of tint they do and are very informative and know the laws in MA.
Also, in order for cops to check the tint on a window they window has to be able to be ROLLED DOWN. So small side windows and rear windows you can go a lil darker and it looks killer.

Overall: Fast good solid service and good price!
Made an appointment during lunch. I am not familiar with the Bedford area and the shop was a little bit hard to find. It’s in a residential area. Do a map search before heading out so you don’t get lost.
They were helpful in helping me decided what grade of tint for my car and explaining the legal laws in Massachusetts. I’m from California and there are tons of laws in MA!
I dropped off my car and was able to wait for it in the shop. They were able to tint 5 windows in less than 50 minutes. Super fast. You cannot roll down your window for 3 days and they put these nice stickers covering your window button to remind you. What a nice touch.
After a few days I noticed a bubble in my tint. I called in and set an appointment to get it looked at. They fixed it with no hassle.

Value, service, and speed. What more can you ask more? Oh yeah, great product — they have that too!
I contacted Solar Solutions with the main goal of getting an affordable tint job on my Subaru Legacy GT wagon. I didn’t want to travel far, nor wait a whole day. Solar Solutions is right down the street from my office — making it very easy to swing by during «lunch». They have a nice little waiting area with wifi — so you can even «work» while at «lunch»!
Daniele was great to work with — answered every question I had, and was flexible in finding a time for me to come in. Bruno did a fantastic job on the windows — flawless and incredibly fast. I was able to see what various tint %‘s looked like before committing as well — a huge help.
Considering how much glass is in my wagon, I was floored at the great price and speed of the job. Thanks Solar Solutions!

I called and booked an appointment to have my Subaru tinted and was able to get a week after I called. I got the legal limit done of tint done on my front and rear windows. It cost $ 190, which I was fine with because I know how hard it is to tint windows. I tried doing my buick regal back in college, it bubbled up and I found it very frustrating. So I don’t mind paying to have someone do it. Plus my windows were weirdly shaped, what took them 1 hr would have taken me easily a whole afternoon and lots of swearing.
So for $ 190 I have sick tinted windows, and no bubbles. Well worth the price. Danielle was awesome, the guy who tinted the windows was awesome. I’d highly recommend them. Thank you again, you guys deserve every star.
