Best car wash in NJ, staff is amazing and approachable. My new spot to get car wash!!!

As of 2÷6÷16 they will not accept $ 2.00 off Unilocal coupon. It was my first time here, the gentlemen at the reception booth was extremely rude about the entire thing. I will not return, will not recommend to others. Stay away, stay far away. Piss poor business ethics.

The best car wash in the world. Every time I go the car comes out perfect. They use an air gun to clean the inside and the water from the doors and windows. My black car never has running water or any dust and dirt inside. They are the best thank you Gus and Bucky.

Good service. However, used a cleaner on my windshield that left a film and makes it very difficult to see in rainy conditions. Will not be going back.

I have been a customer for over ten years and never have I had one complaint I take all my cars and trucks to Gus & Bucky’s. I choose to not to use the car wash in my town because of the great job and great customer services at Gus & Bucky’s does !! They offer a wide variety of services, such as window tinting, 3M clear Bra paint protection and painless dent removal. They always have a manager onsite who is walking around asking the customers if they are satisfied with the work. They now offer a monthly unlimited package which allows you to wash your car as many times as you wish and a great monthly price !!! I highly recommend Gus & Bucky’s car wash !!

Well I have to say tim from gus and buckys is a real businessman he saw my review and immediately called me to discuss what happen and more than apologized for it. He made good by providing me with free car washes for my troubles and was a gentleman about the entire incident. He also gave me some. feee washes for the new express wash on 22 in bridgewater. This place is now a total rip off. They raised their car wash w/​interior vacuum by $ 13, it’s now 28.84. They are trying to force you to by their monthly unlimited @ $ 40. Let me tell you this car wash is not worth nearly $ 30. Also, they only dry the driver’s side properly, the passenger side looks like it was dried with a dirty rag & left big dirty steaks all along the passenger side along with a big mud droplet. I just had my car detailed @ audi 2 days ago but a plant spilled over in my car so I took it to Gus & Bucky’s for a vacuum & figured an extra wash wouldn’t hurt. What a mistake, one side of my car is clean & the other doesn’t even look like it got washed. See my posted pics comparing the 2 sides. Definitely feel duped & ripped off. I will no longer be a customer after today’s experience. Oh & they also left a big drop of white milky polish on the drivers side arm rest. Thanks a lot.

I’m a car guy and also live around the block from Gus & Bucky’s Car Wash so naturally, I figured I’d give it a shot for convenience’s sake. The first visit wasn’t bad; it was on par with your run-​of-​the-​mill machine car wash; some water spots on the paint, wheel dust residue on the wheels from where the machines couldn’t get the nooks and crannies. The second time was less satisfactory, during which I paid for the «Bucky’s Wash» which includes tire shine application as well as air compressor treatment to blow away excess water; however, much to my surprise, I was deprived of such services — I left without complaining as I was in a rush and waited long enough. The third (and final) visit went from bad to worse; after waiting on a 30 minute queue of only 8 cars ahead of me, I purchased the «Gus’s Wash» which includes a towel dry. After waiting 5 minutes in the staging area post wash, and watching 3 other cars get dried, while the water began to dry and spot up on my car, I had had enough. I approached the «manager,» John, who clearly hasn’t had any customer service training: When I politely told him about the previous experience being denied services included in the Bucky’s Wash, he told me I hadn’t followed procedure (apparently exiting the vehicle and leaving the door open — which I wasn’t instructed to do) in an accusatory tone. I then advised him of my current wait time to receive a towel dry to which he advised me that I had to wait as there were personnel for different types of drying (windows, paint, etc.). No apology for my inconvenience; no recompense for their prior lack of delivery on promised services; only an attitude not befitting a manager. John, however, was very attentive to the Porsche GT3 owner behind me. I will never return to this car wash, and I advise you to avoid it if you value an honorable business that respects and appreciates its customers.

That’s it… I gave this place a few opportunities to provide even just adequate service but that is a stretch here. I live in town so I come intending to be in and out… no chance… No matter what time you go there is a line… Not just due to demand but because the line moves extremely slow… run the track a lil faster or something. Once your car gets in there the first power jet facing the window is busted it just shoots high pressure water ripping under your moldings etc… I pay for their highest service minus interior… Yet I don’t see much going on other than the same typical wash… Get some blinking lights in there make me feel like I’m getting extra stuff. Next they pull my sub up into a space where they are supposed to towel dry your car and use compressed air. Wipe down wheels, shine tires you know as described in the package I paid for. My cat sits unattended for atleast 5 or so minutes… Finally knowing better now I grab a towel I brought and start wiping my car down by myself. Then one dude does a once over while singing to himself (easy bud don’t work too hard), while about 4 women are wiping down the same compact car for about the same amount of time. I got fed up when the next car pulled up in the space behind me. I tip well every time because I know people are trying to make a living here but management needs to change their procedures, repair their broken water jet befor it damages a car, and please mark a window with something saying give this car what it paid for. Lesson learned: go to Bernardsville Carwash… I rather drive up there for a quality wash and a place to vacuum myself. Probably would make it back home faster too… Gus=fail.

Have had them do detail work (you need an appt in advance!) and they are very good with that too.
Price is not cheap. It’s no $ 5 car wash, but it is a nice place and, for someone who does not wash car as much as I should, worth it.
Doesn’t hurt that it’s right around the corner from my house.

Hate it or love it…
I really wanted to love it. Great location, attractive drive up experience.
Then it became another experience…
Unfriendly reception… A heads up, I asked about having my floor mats cleaned and was told that required an appointment (ok, I rolled with that… I figured I’d plan ahead next time)
The price was higher than I expected, but I thought because it’s Bedminster, the quality must be Higher…
I was surprised with a car that was not fully dried off with some dirty spots on the outside and inside some dusty spots not wiped down.
I have our cars detailed Spring and Fall. Based on this location’s regular wash service, I won’t risk paying them to detail our cars.
Wished it had lived up to its curb appeal.

I went to Bucky’s today a little after 12pm I got the Bucky’s Wash, plus interior. It cost me 25 dollars. It seemed to me the only thing they did good was charge a lot. I been going to different car Washes every 2 to 3 days because of the salt on the roads. So my car is pretty clean. I had no mats in the car so I figured something less for them to do. Of course my car was empty inside. Nothing to get in the way of them vacuuming. I am considerate of all workers everywhere. It seemed to me they just did a quick wipe down in the interior. And on the exterior they just rushed to dry it. I could see a lot of brown on the exterior of the car. I paid for the Bucky’s wash because they are supposed to clean more. They should have prepped it before it went in the car wash. Their words… on their advertisement. and I did not see how they cleaned the undercarriage of the car. I am a Bedminster Resident so I figured I’d support local business. I am used to getting good car washes. I can vouch for McFarland’s in Bridgewater. I like the Car wash in Newark Airport. Most of the time open 24 hours. Their night time special is 6 dollars. Interior and exterior I like the car wash on 1 and 9 in Elizabeth, Chester Carwash. Flores Car wash in Jersey City. The worse was the staff had attitude when charging me. Like I was gonna stiff them on the bill or something. Almost Barking at me to make sure I pay first before anything. When I was patiently standing there next to the attendant. I also waited in line patiently for close to a half-​hour. I am considerate of workers everywhere like I said before, that is why I chose to go today when it got warmer. The way I see it they do not appreciate customers at Bucky’s. Save the hassle and and your money… I recommend to go to any other car wash. Thank you.

Went first time today for the Buck’y car wash (Car#574, SLSMN#3264) and regretted completely after the wash. After paying 17 $ for the wash which had triple polish and clear cost with air freshner spray… believe me, nothing was done and I came out with just a plain car wash. The staff was very rude and not at all listening to my concerns. When I told them about it they saying your car is like that and go for detailing, pay 189 $ and we will clean and wax the car… pathetic customer care and rude behaviour. When I said about air freshner spray they said, you dodn’ have one… awful.
Am definitely not going there again and wanted to share my experience for everyone’s benefit.

I don’t mind the prices. You expect them in the area, but lose the attitude and improve the service. I shouldn’t wait 20 minutes when there is only one car in front of me.
Slow service. Rude employees. Subpar quality.
The only good thing they have going for them is that they are the only one around.

This place took hell-​knows-​what out of my boyfriend’s car.
He dropped it off in the morning on his way to work and by 430pm, his car was sparkling — the guy whom handles all detail work deserves a raise, a bonus, and a pat on the back.
A few weeks ago, my guy transported a few of my old garden pots (not realizing there was dirt in them… which got sloshed around in the trunk of his car. A few days later, on our trip to his parents for Easter, he took a sharp turn and the scalloped potatoes went EVERYWHERE. The poor man at the detail shop had to literally take apart parts of the trunk to get it all… but returned it to all its glory.
I dont care what the price was — getting the smell of dirt, milk, and cheese-​potatoes out of the car before the summer season hits was well worth it.

Gus and Bucky’s offers quick service and reasonable prices for their car washes. My personal experience with G&B’s is as follows:
Most recently I ordered their top level wash (interior and exterior) for my utility vehicle. After the first pass, I had noticed some inconsistencies with what I had ordered and what was completed on the car. After bringing it to the attention of the owner, he happily re-​directed his staff towards the areas of concern, which they proceeded to go above and beyond with. The delay was negligible and the service always remained friendly. The foreman even went as far as asking me if the job was done to my satisfaction, and if there was anything else he could take care of.
Things occasionally slip through the cracks in the customer service industry, but it is how management deals with it that really affirms whether the business is worth MY business.
4-​Star rating for the wash, service, price, and the excellent communication from the owner.

I don’t mind their pricing but I do mind about the poor and slow service; poor quality of work done; never knows if they are open or not on any particular day. Perhaps the fact that there is only one car wash nearby the entire The Hills development means they still continue get business from people.
I much rather drive to some other towns for car wash instead of going to this place which is only less than 2 mins drive from home.

For the money they charge everything should be stellar, however that is not the case. Windows are always an issue, they have the use of air hoses and I still have drips. The employees seem more interested in chatting with each other than paying attention to the job at hand.
It’s a same because they are located in an area that most convenient to those of us in the hills.
I would rather go to Somerville and pay $ 6 and bring the car home and finish it off myself!

If you have 45 minutes to wait for your car to be washed & the $ 25 (before tip) — go for it.
Originally all the «employees» lived in the white house in front of the car wash until they set it on fire…
These are the same folks who are doing the washing.
Everyone once in a while you end up with a «strange» scenario.
IE: While they were drying my new vehicle, one of the guys lost his GUM (mid chew) on my hood. It sat there and they all dried around it. I had to actually say something for they to pluck it off.
