AMC Loews Factoria 8

WOW! Better than we expected! Couldn’t get in to another theater for Star Wars today so we ended up in Factoria. We were so surprised to find BEDS in the theater instead of those uncomfortable chairs. We watched the movie RECLINING! About as good as first class on an airplane. Felt like putting on my seatbelt. Could not be happier, enjoyed the movie.

Rude staff, and fighting my way past the homeless junkies tonight completely turned me off to this place.
I spoke with the management about the two homeless people begging outside the theater doors tonight and they merely rolled their eyes at me. Apparently, they are permanent and connotations be gotten rid of.
Do something about the homeless, and I will consider coming back.

I used to live near Factoria when I was a kid, so this theatre was our go-​to theatre for movie watching. I haven’t been to this theatre in SO LONG, but dang, this place definitely got an amazing upgrade!
It is still a small theatre, but it does its job. The ticket cashiers are now inside and there is now the option to purchase your tickets via kiosks. The concession stand is updated and there are fancy soda machines. The theatre seats are reclining leather chairs! All of this for the same price you’d usually pay for a movie ticket? I’m in!
Great job on the remodel. Definitely coming back.

I’m impressed with the remodel. I was happy going here before too because since it was run down, I always end up getting the theater to myself for about the price of renting a movie at Hollywood or Blockbusters (back when it was in business). The remodel is still new so not a lot of people have figured it out yet, still a whole theater to myself… not for long. As you can see from photos to other Unilocalers, this theater went through some major remodeling. The outside still look the same, but they moved their ticket purchase to the inside so I no longer have to wait in the cold. The room itself is filled with beautiful red leather seats that you can adjust the incline, I feel like a boss on it. Oh AMC, how did you know my favorite color is red, you shouldn’t have, but I’m flattered that you designed the chairs after my favorite color. I’m just kidding. Be careful, you might get too comfy and fall asleep during your movie. I went here twice in a week just to experience it all over again.
It’s so easy to get in and out since it’s not attached to any major mall, parking is also so easy to find a spot and I feel a bit safer dumping my car in Bellevue than any where else.

Oh wow, that was amazing! I don’t even know if it was the new Star Wars movie or the brand new everything inside the remodeled movie theater.
I like going to this AMC theater, because of the parking. It is so easy to find a spot. Easy in and easy out. Ticket counter as you enter the theater. Concessions area, of course, the snacks and drinks. If you want to save some cash, you could go to the gas station across the street, buy some snacks there, and a car wash. Or you could try the new Coke soda machines, mix a drink, and free refills. Self-​serve butter machines for your popcorn, America!
We were in the room A for the Star Wars movie. The seats are crazy. Red leather seats similar Cinerama. But it reclines! Automatically with electrical controlled buttons right by the cup holder. You can seriously kick back and relax, and maybe pass out. The leg room is first class all the way. People can still walk by easily with my seat fully reclined, legs all kicked up. Arm rests are huge. It felt great, but the slope angle of the chairs are still a little low, meaning if a 5’9 guy is sitting in front of you with a beanie on, it could block your view of the screen.
The screen is a little small in the movie room A, comparing it to the size of the room too. Could be a lot bigger. But if you think of it. They probably did not replace the screens or the projectors. The surround sounds was pretty good though. Military Pricing After 4pm, Senior Pricing for 60+, and most importantly Student Pricing after 4pm. Overall, pretty sweet.

Nice remodel. Was so dumpy before, but this place is now high tech. New chairs with automatic recline, plenty of arm space, clean, self-​serve fountain drinks. Very high class. The word will get out and it will be more crowded, but for now, parking is easy.

The remodel is fantastic! Red leather power recliners in all the halls, and lots of leg room. The place is really nicely remodeled, after years of being the dingiest theatre in the area. The old concession stand was moved to where those outdated arcade games were, and the soda fountains have been replaced by the freestyle Coke machines that Taco Time has. The popcorn is also self buttered, which was the part of the remodel I wasn’t fond of, since there was fried butter everywhere on the concession table.
Knocking a star off because the screens, especially in room A, are still teeny tiny and difficult to see. But everything else is excellent.

Remodeled in time for star Wars. Seats are reclining and so comfortable. Very spacious. Try to sit in the middle so you don’t have to turn head to watch movie. Self serve drink fountain and butter station. Love it!

Holy cow this place is amazing after the remodel. Just went and saw Star Wars, and they have reclining super comfy chairs!!! For normal movie prices! And the Coke machines are pretty neat as well they’re the same ones as at Taco Time. Where you can select any type of soda you want. They really did an amazing job on the remodel. This will definitely be my main movie theater from now on. Bravo AMC. Oh and also the movie screen and sound quality were amazing. Top notch place.

Power reclining seats in red leather. I felt like a king! This theater is undergoing a major remodel. Ticketing has moved inside and there is a 3D theater at this location finally. The lobby is beautiful, with a wall of customizable Coke machines. The movie theater numbers are clearly displayed, and the drinking fountains actually work now! My favorite theater!

This movie theater is well behind the times and needs a severe remodel. Only has three large theaters with not so great video. The rest are small. Due to the age of the theater it’s disturbingly dirty. Heavy price gouging. Certain employees could use an attitude adjustment. Would not recommend this theater.

Theater was closed for renovation, now only partially done. It needed it! The theater was starting to smell «funky», and was old, worn and tired.
**** BULLETIN: They opened for Star Wars, and wow, what an improvement! I loved it… super spacious. New seats that recline with foot rests– tons of leg room. Ahhhhhh, to me that is the best part of seeing a movie. I will definitely be back!
I like it for its close proximity to where I live, and the easy parking. Can’t wait til it is completely finished!

It saddens me to come back to this theater, and see that no improvements in seating, quality of picture and sound have been made in the last 25 years. I used to frequent this theater when I was growing up… I really hope AMC see’s fit to invest some capitol in this theater for future movie goers… Maybe I’ll return with my boys…

It’s definitely outdated and a cinema that I normally do not go to, but came here for a special screening event. It was a little hard for me to find, coming from the mall area. I didn’t realize that it was surrounded by a bunch of office buildings that they share a parking lot with. The place is retro and has a small concessions stand. Seats rocked back. Would I go here again? Probably not, but that’s because I have two other cinemas in my city.

First started coming here when it was a drive in movie theater and saw Star Wars. The 1980’s was the hayday for this theater as it was owned by SRO with waiting lines for the big budget films like ET. This was THE movie theater to be at in Bellevue long before Lincoln Square ever existed.
For present day little has changed with the layout. Yes there is no stadium seating, no fancy interactive kiosks, no electronic reader board and most of the time no one taking your ticket upon entry. Which makes me wonder how they stay in business.
What I do like is clean restrooms, free easy parking, movies are a dollar or two cheaper than newer theaters, no lines and best of all virtually empty theaters. We saw Jurassic World on the second Saturday after it opened in their main theater (#1) that must seat at least 500 with only about 25 people in the entire theater! A few weeks earlier we saw Mad Max with only 5 people there. For $ 10 you basically have your own private theater. No annoying crowds and you pick where to sit. Who cares about stadium seating when it’s empty? No crowds and easy parking make this my favorite place to see a movie.

Pretty lame when you are watching a movie (that you paid $ 10+) and you come out, 30mins into the movie and EVERYTHING is shut down in the concessions and the attendant guy is super rude to you. It wasn’t even like they were just starting to clean up and they were sorry. He was very rude and everything was completely cleaned out. Registers counted and locked, all candy had been caged and locked up, huge garbage bag of popcorn (which is all I wanted) and all the popcorn machines were completely cleaned out! The movie started 30mins ago! Wow. I guess I’ll bring my own snacks next time…

This movie theater is very old. The projection screens are mostly small. I think they are more friendly for elderly and family with kids because I do see lots of them. The young ones just don’t go here. Funny there is nobody to check your ticket so once you buy the ticket, you just walk right in. I never see this place full, even with Avengers coming out 2 days ago. But its good because we don’t have to fight for seat. If you want to see bigger screen, go somewhere else or sit closer here.

What’s the best word to describe this place? I think I’m going to go with «old». No, seriously. The floor is pretty level (you’re out of luck if you sit behind someone tall), the seats are kind of rickety, and the complex is in dire need of a renovation.
They do, however, screen a decent selection of movies. That basic functionality is covered. Phew!
I’d never come here over the theatres at Crossroads/​Lincoln Square. But if you live in the Factoria area and feel like an easy drive and painless parking, I don’t blame you.

Came here for a family movie. Parking was easy and there was no line for tickets. It’s cheaper here since it’s older, but after sitting in the seats I wonder if the ~$ 12 I saved was worth it. The place is older, but the seats, whoa! You sit right down, through the springs to the hard bottom. It’s slightly angled so you can see over people/​between people in front of you. We had a pretty full movie even though it’s been out for a few weeks, so others are out to save money too. The theater doors stayed open after it started so we got up to close them. Otherwise light/​noise from the lobby was spilling in. Others thanked us… so it wasn’t just us thinking it needed to be closed. The sound was ok, not super loud like other places. And honestly, sitting in the back… the screen felt small. Sit closer if you like the big screen experience of newer places.
Ok, food. They have the normal food options. But it was $ 12.99 for a large popcorn and large drink. It was $ 20 for drink/​popcorn/​candy. Take your time to figure out what you want and the best way to get it for cheaper. We ended up doing the drink/​popcorn deal and getting one thing of candy on it’s own for a little cheaper. The large size gets you refills… make the most of it!!!
Bathrooms here are big enough but there was NO HEAT and it was in the 20’s outside. It was super cold. Like freezing in the room just like outside? The theater itself was fine and we were able to take off our coats. Staff here was visible but not friendly. No one came to take tickets… we just walked by and the guy sweeping said nothing. Oh, the theater itself was dirty. Popcorn everywhere. Sweeper guy needed to come in there…
We had a nice time, enjoyed our food and movie. We would return. I am sure the newer place would have tacked on another $ 20+ to our visit. But go knowing it’s older, not stadium seating, and may not be super clean. But it’s a movie in the dark, so enjoy

I’m really torn about how I feel about AMC Factoria. On one hand the negatives are that it’s definitely old, like your seat will really vary seat to seat regarding cushion and overall feeling of clean vs I don’t know what I’m sitting and/​or stepping in. The theater also umm. smells …old. Which I don’t know if that matters to some people, but it can be distracting at times. Pricing also is the same as most other theaters, so then it’s hard to not want to go to the newer stadium seating, plush leather seat theaters that smell clean and don’t have sticky floors.
BUT

On the other hand, this theater is ALWAYS quiet. Even if it’s pretty much opening weekend for a big movie. I don’t really remember ever having to show up more than 20 minutes early to get a premium seat. And as long as it’s NOT some huge big budget summer blockbuster movie like The Avengers 10 or something. You pretty much can show up on time or like 5 – 10 minutes prior, and take your sweet time getting into the theater and still be able to lock up a good seat. Given how quiet the theater is, the overall feeling is kind of more cozy as well. Like when you walk in and buy your ticket and your concessions, just that little slightly more casual feelings kind of brings you back to the old days of when your buddies used to be the ones working behind the counters. And the staff are more than just that guy swiping your card and filling your coke cup.
The crowd definitely varies with the movie your watching, but it’s always less of them. So that also being said, if you really want to watch the newest Teen/​College comedy and not be around a bunch of Bros without paying $ 30 to go to iPic, this may be your better bet.
Lastly, they have $ 5 movies on Sunday morning. That’s a plus for those with kiddies.
