Bartell Drugs

The worst pharmacy experience I have ever endured. How it can take 40 minutes to fill one prescription for an existing customer was amazing. Especially since there were only three people waiting and I got mine in front of two who were there before me.

This is our usual pharmacy and in general we like it well enough to keep going but we’ve had some recurring problems that are not acceptable. Their prices for medications is higher than other places. They are chronically understaffed which makes for very long waits and poor service. And worse of all we have been given the wrong medication more than once. And we’ve had several problems with them failing to communicate with our physicians properly.

This review is for the store only; I haven’t used the pharmacy or clinic services.
I’ve always been a big Bartell’s fan, at least of all their stores (I have had spotty luck with the pharmacies, so I tend to get scripts filled elsewhere). But I think this is now my favorite Bartell’s of the lot! First of all, it’s larger and more open than most Bartell’s stores. Each section is clearly designated by ceiling-​mounted signage. The aisles seem wider and way easier to navigate (even with two customers pushing carts and passing in opposite directions). There is the coolest centrally-​located candy section, unlike any I’ve seen in any drugstore! Very open with the neatest displays (more reminiscent of a gourmet candy shop, actually). And they’ve the largest «market» section with refrigerated cases in the southeast corner of the store, with foods for sale like you’d get in Safeway or Fred Meyer, except presented and displayed nicer (for real!). Plus a nice wine section, too.
The beauty section should be noted as well: it’s large, well spread out, with quite a few higher-​end brands.
The greeting card section seems a bit smaller than in other Bartells, but that may simply be due to the different store lay-​out here.
There’s the usual health and pharmaceutical aisles, and lots of household items acailable, as at the other Bartells. Plus I appreciate how they have many locally-​made products (usually foods and beverages), as well as a large variety of Seattle sports team items (Seahawks and Mariners, especially). To top it off, there always seems to be employees scattered about to assist you in finding specific items you’re looking for.
Check-​out has always been swift and pleasant for me, with ample staff at the cash registers.
The parking lot is large and obstacle-​free, with 3 or 4 access points. Note that an Ace Hardware store shares the same parking lot.
This truly is a swell store! I wish it were closer to my house.

This is the only Bartell Drugs i shop at. I’ve been to all the ones here in Bellevue but this one is the closest to me! Its got its good qualities but i happen to have a pretty bad experience with the «Group health Clinic» here.
First off, let me warn you how messed up the clinic here is. Everyone says the pharmacy is messed up here but so is the clinic. I was told my visit would be free since i was a group health member but the doctor lied to me. I was billed without my knowledge about a test result. I repeatedly said to her i cannot pay for anything to be done and she reassured me that what she was doing was free, that my test she did to me was free. Lies! I will never return to that clinic again. i was charged 253 dollars last year for a visit and a test result which came back to be false. The people there were incompetent and didn’t seem to know what they were doing. I used their service a 2^nd time to only find out they knew nothing about my problem and gave me false information and diagnoses. I went to see my regular doctor at my regular clinic and was told it was something else completely! So you’ve been warned!
The location is in a good spot. Parking is easy to find and the store is on a corner with a pretty easy way of getting in and out. It also has its own drive thru pharmacy… tho i don’t recommend using their pharmacy!
The layout in the store is pretty simple and easy to navigate. Its kept very clean and its easy to find what you are looking for. They hardly change things around. The only problem with the layout is where the makeup is kept. I’ve seen young girls shoplift makeup all the time here, even a $ 99 straightener was missing right out of the package. I like the candy section however, its right in the middle, very open and its one of the best places to shop for halloween candy!
Prices here are good, inexpensive but they do have more of a selection on items that can be moderate to pricy. But for the most part, its inexpensive and they do have sales often! Its like a mini store, better than walgreens, Especially walgreens vs bartell drug makeup, hair and skin sales!
Customer service at checkout is friendly. Each time i go there, i am greeted with a friendly smile, a nice chat and im left smiling. They treat everyone, young and old with respect! I like that!
Overall, i would of given this place a ⁴⁄₅ but sadly with pharmacy and the clinic being so incompetent, i have to lower my rating! I will continue to shop here!

One of the worst pharmacies I have ever dealt with. They can put the California DMV and IRS to shame!
They took forever to call my doctor and get my prescription ready. They forgot the one thing I had requested. They had the wrong drug when I called and asked. They hung up on me before I could clarify the name of the drug. Safe to assume, I won’t be going there again.

No reflection on this specific store, this is a review on Bartells online ordering for their photo studio. Please fix it — the user experience is horrible. I am not sure if the system was down on the day I tried ordering? I finally gave up an went to
where the process was super simple, and I had my photos in hand within 20 minutes.
I tried going local, I really tried!

If it were possible to give less than 1 star i would .
This is the most messed up pharmacy I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with .
No consistency in care or personnel.

The «I don’t give a sh*t attitude» of the staff is disgusting.
As a consumer — i will take my business elsewhere
It’s not convenient when you are sick, and have to park your car to go inside to pick up a prescription that they have just texted you «is ready»!!

the evening staff have always been helpful and pleasant when I visit. I’m not sure why they’ve got a few bad reviews: the store is bright and clean, shelves stocked, and helpful staff whenever I visit.

I don’t understand why this store is getting a handful of one-​star reviews. Crossroads Bartell Drugs is awesome — everything’s easy to find, parking is simple, it’s open 24 hours (handy for a night owl like me who sometimes has to fill prescriptions in the small hours), and frankly the people who work here are worth a drive — they smile (REAL smiles — the kind that light up the eyes), always say hello, and are unfailingly friendly and polite.
Is it perfect? Not completely — my niece needs several prescriptions filled, and not all of them are readily available at this location, so I’ve had to resort to mail order Rx – but this location is about as good as it gets.

Since I am the Duke, I suppose that I should write an update.
It is still a 4 star establishment. Several months back, the store did a renovation that made what was a nice location better with a spruced up candy section right in front and the liquor section has more exposure now then how it was arranged previously.
There is plenty of parking here and everything is easy to find which is the biggest reason why I like this store. I have trouble finding the sale products at some Bartell locations, but not here. It is in the same area that it has always been since I started shopping here nearly 7 years ago.
At times, the checkouts can be slow. Though they usually open up a new register if there is a line. The Unilocal rating seems quite low for this store. It appears due to complaints with the pharmacy. I have had issues with the pharmacy a few times related to the store not having a certain drug or them having to verify the prescription. As a result, I have had to make a return visit to pickup.
I wish there was a way for consumers to locate the availability of a prescription without having to go to the store or calling to confirm. I wish there was an online resource that I could use to do that.
Aside from prescription availability issues, my experience with this Bartell location has been good. It is a well organized store and close by. Even though there is a Walmart down the street now, I still prefer coming here for my drugstore needs.

Employees not very willing to help find stuff in the store. Some of them even ignore you when they know you are looking for a certain product. They don’t offer any help even they see customers are trying to find some thing in store.
And the casher is not sure what she is doing; checking every thing in her hand that she just scaned and checking every thing in bag that she just puts in. Looking into bags maybe 9 times and still does it after she prints the receipt.
Cold face store. Very unhappy experience in this store from all unhappy people there.

This store makes for a great therapeutic walk from work, which we do often. I’ve had experiences at the pharmacy, which have all been good… wait times have been normal particularly at peak hours. I have to admit I’ve had better customer service from the cashier staff than the pharmacy staff but they are two completely separate jobs and I take that into account in this review. I really like this store much better after the remodel. I really also like the cashiers as they are friendly and remember us when we go in multiple times per week for our breaks.

There are so many things that I like about this store. They recently went thru a new remodel of the store and the new layout makes it user friendly when locating things in the store. This is also the place that we use for prescriptions and it is super nice as it is open 24 hours a day. The customer service is top notch and always with a smile on their face. It is also important to me to support local businesses which this is. Great place to shop and prices are competitive.

Bartell is our local store. They are organized, clean locations and very helpful always. One thing distinguish them form their competitors is that they organized the items very well. While navigating on aisles you notice straight lines and detailed way of putting the items on shelves. This gives impression that customer does not overwhelm on finding an item.

Worst ever. Gave wrong perscription to my pregnant wife. Scary!!! Stay away from this place. They are understaffed so expect long waits and poor customer service.

Went in here in the middle of the night for an antibiotic. Pharmacist asked my information, I gave it to him. He seemed to indicate that he couldn’t find my prescription. I told him the doctor had called it in. Then he asked about my insurance info and I gave it to him. He told me it was «expired» and then wandered off and started talking on the phone to someone. (My insurance? Who knows? He didn’t tell me whether I could expect him to come back at some point with my prescription, let alone what he was doing — just sort of stopped acknowledging my presence and meandered away.)
Eventually I collapsed onto the floor while waiting for the pharmacist to finish whatever-​it-​was. (I’ve been sick with a 103F+ temp for almost a week, so I wasn’t in tip-​top shape.) No one noticed the loud thud, but several minutes later another employee came along, saw me, and offered to get me a chair. However, when I asked him if he could talk to the pharmacist and see what was going on, he dumped the chair next to me, said, «Oh, I’m sure he’s working on it» and left post-​haste.
I was elated to finally pay for the drug myself out of pocket, even though I know my insurance does cover it, just to get out of there.
I’ve had prescriptions filled here a couple of times before, and I can at least say that they’ve never given me the wrong drug. Other than that, though, I can’t recommend them — today’s experience was the worst I’ve had with them so far, but I’ve never had a *good* experience, just «less awful than this».

Very good service here no matter what time of day it is. I also like their selection of medicine. They have a ton of OTC and generics.

Worst pharmacy, drive thru is slow and called in prescription not filled till hours after. looks under staff and at this point i decided to support smaller business and more friendly staff of the pharmacy next door, TLC at crossroad shopping center.

This place is alright. Open ²⁴⁄₇. Usually clean and usually helpful people. Selection is on the better side except cosmetics. The only thing that really annoys me is that there’s always just one register open, even during peak hours.
