When I’m browsing and tell you«I’ll let you know if I have any questions»(twice), that means I don’t want you to hover over my back while I try stuff on. Nor do I want you to continue to ask me questions or make suggestions about stuff. REALLYBACKUP

This Sunglass hut by far has the best customer service out of any Sunglass hut I have ever been to. The store manager is always so helpful and going out of her way to make the customers day. On the particular day I went in two associates were working, and I got both of their undivided attention and honest opinions. I felt as though they really wanted to help me find a pair that looked good on me rather than just sell me something. Will definitely be returning!

Awesome store. Awesome customer service. I got a friends and family discount a couple months ago and ended up getting my Tory burch sunglasses for only 112 dollars!!! They were patient while I was there for over an hour and a half friend to make a decision. It was a hard one– so many great choices. I love the manager there and I’m kicking myself for forgetting her name because she really deserves a shout out. L

I really don’t have anything negative to state about this particular Sunglass Hut location, …thereon I don’t exactly have anything positive to say either. Having purchased a pair of Versace shades at another location, I was mortified when my partner sat on them. That’s some azz he’s got because my poor sunglasses practically crumbled into pieces; the lens going one direction and the arms another. $ 250 glasses… just gone!!! The sound of these glasses cracking was about as traumatic an occurrence as the sound of a brand new Mercedes being dented. (…as I clutched for my heart) I located this particular branch of Sunglass Hut on Unilocal, then drove there to see if they could repair and was informed that although they repair onsite, I’d need to contact an extended warranty number for a company called«Luxotica» or something for screws and/or additional parts. Sure. Whatever… I was given a number and sent on my way. Imagine my astonishment to dial the number that I was given and reach«Busty Bertha» as this was the number to some type of porn line. OHHUNNYYOUARESOOO– BARKINGUPTHEWRONGTREE, I thought to myself. Clearly… this wasn’t the correct number. In turn, I phoned Sunglass Hut to inquire on the misinformation and was apologized to and given the correct number only to contact Luxotica for said screws and bolts or whatever the hell it was that I needed. A few days later I received them within the mail and returned to the location on 2nd Street for repairs leaving the dismantled glasses at the store to be further attended to. I walked in ½ an hour later to see that they were unable to be repaired because NONE of the screws that I phoned in for, requested and received from this company even fit! GRRRRR. Before browsing the stores’s inventory of Burberry, Gucci, Bulgari and Swarovski, I was apologized to and went on my way, To make a long story short, I ended up getting these things fixed a few stores down at a nearby optometrist for $ 10. That review will be posted shortly. I’m deducting a star for how time consuming this was(all in all, it took 2 – 3 weeks total) as well as an additional one for the misinformation and unwarranted phone syphilis… yet I’m providing three for: 1. The store’s Belmont Shores — 2nd Street location. 2. The eye candy within the store. And 3. The customer service while within the store with an additional«A» for effort in them simply trying to repair the glasses altogether.

I always have great service when I am here at this location. Carla helped me this last weekend and she was very nice. Helped me pick out a great pair of Maui Jim sunglasses and answered all my questions. I usually try to shop the small business stores here in Long Beach but Sunglass Hut really does have the biggest selection.

Would have loved to make a purchase except the wait was too long to do so. The employee was very kind, don’t get me wrong but inadequate training on a new POS and poor scheduling for a weekend is managements fault. Maybe next time.

Here in Burgo Spain with my Mom & Tia Rosie visiting family and freezing our nalgas off, I’m catching up on my drafts; what triggered me to pick this one is that at dinner a relative was touting her $ 500 Gucci Sunglasses to the point of me giving her looks like [ RYFKM! ], my dear Segundo Prima! People still spend over $ 200 for a pair of designer sunglasses when I have found sources that have the same ones for less… MUCH less! Look, they ALL are made in China. ============================================================== My friend owns a business that has sunglasses and stands in many beauty salons, beauty supply stores and spas on consignment and, I’ve been doing part time marketing for him, ordering and stocking his stands for 7 years ever since I closed my store on Broadway in January of 2005. So, I’d finally had enough of walking past this Sunglass Hut and many of there other ridiculously priced locations and went in with Marty looking for some clip ons for his transitions lenses from Costco; they just do not get dark enough for him. As I perused the inventory while he was waiting for assistance that seemed to take longer than waiting for Jesus to come, I just could not believe the prices and, that people do not know that they are being ripped off.literally. Tell you why: I’ve been to Shenzhen China many times to assess inventory for my friend’s business and, I was amazed that ALL of those fancy styles are made on the same machine for 25 – 50 cents a pair! All of the designer styles arms and frames go down one way and are stamped Tom Ford, Gucci, Dolce Gabanna etc, made in Italy and the like and, the other arms and frames on the same machine are down the right side stamped [ made in China ]-YES, same pairs stamped differently. So, when I confronted the store manager about this she was annoyed, came up with fumbling excuses and eventually gave me the look of [ I’m busted but I’m not gonna admit it, you’re full of shit ] and with a smarmy«So why are you two here then?» «Well honey, we are looking for clip ons for his sunglasses that are transition lenses and, he would like them a little darker in the car until he acclimates to them being this way.» Her response was” Oh, clip ons?” «We don’t carry clip ons, why don’t you try a Rite Aid or something like that, we sell high end products here.» Unless of course you have the cash flow of Brittany Spears, Pink or Kanye West, knock your self out! Do not be deceived by this gimmicky store chain and others like it; by them at the swap meets or street venders as they ALL have the same 2 important types of UVA protection. And, for $ 10 you can still have enough money to gas up the Pink Cadillac and drink top shelf liquor looking fabulous-sweetie, trust me, no one… I mean no one will know. My experience here was less than pleasant, I was going to actually buy a pair on sale for $ 85 but, I passed. So, I’m wanted to give this place the Michael P’s 3 Star just A-Okay because that’s all it is but with the ‘tude, 2 Stars and, to each his own-it’s your money. RIIIGHT?! I’ll continue to get mine for free or, pay $ 10 a pair [ in a pinch ] for the same quality and do this so you aren’t able to see if I’ve blazed before going into the club:

They have a great return policy! My dog chewed my glasses to shreds and because I bought the glasses less than 90 days ago they will replace them for free! And to top it off those glasses were an exchange that i made a couple of months ago because I scratched the lenses. I wasn’t expecting that!

I’ve been here twice now, and I am a «fan» of this sunglass hut… just the belmont shore one tho. ;) I love 2nd street anyways(great restaurants, boutiques, bars) so what’s not to love about the hut?!? I joined they’re little membership thingy so I recieved a $ 20 off card for my birthday, so I went to treat myself to a new pair. The girl working the closing shift was the best! Both times the girls that helped me were honest and told me(nicely of course) that the D&G sparkley ones were NOT me, and the Ralph Lauren ones made me look like I had bug-eyes. But I found one I loved… Tiffany’s turtleshell rectangular polarized ones! The new remodeled store looks really nice and brand new, even though they remodeled a couple of years ago. When I want or feel the need for some new shades, you know where I’ll be going.

I love sunglasses, they make me feel pretty. Buy them here. The people here are nice. They are expensive. I don’t have lice. I’ll sing a little ditty. Then you buy me a beer.

What’s your best summer accessory? Flip flops… Bracelet… Earrings… Mine are sunglasses. You can’t go anywhere in SoCali w/o a pair. They always travel with my Berry, wallet and MAC lipglass in the summer together. And a new pair of sunglasses is always a good treat. I typically try to my heart’s delight at Nordy’s as they always have a good selection, but I stopped in here on the way to the gym to try on some new pairs. They did a complete remodel of the store a couple of months back and I was pleasantly surprised at all the selection at this Belmont Shore location. I was greeted and was immediately felt comfortable to try on as many as I wanted. I also had a gift card that I needed to redeem, so sweet — that basically took care of the tax on the pair I so fell in *love* with. That was an expensive walk to the gym.: |
