This is a sad, weird little store in a bad location.
The corner of Brighton and Pleasant Streets has a Shell on one side, a BP (Hisss!) on the other, and an unnatural and hard to spot Texaco next door to the BP. They’re trying, and they seem to do everything right, but no one comes. This leads to one old guy sitting in a lawn chair outside, who is simultaneously the gas station attendant and store cashier. The coffee is cold (at 7 AM!), and he seemed so relieved to have another human to talk to, that we were BFFs right away.
It’s too much social pressure for not-​hot coffee.
