Meh… The good: Extras toppings you don’t find in other fast food burger joints. Nicely wrapped burgers. Fairly good tasting burgers… The bad: Floppy, wilted, greasy fries. Floppy messy burger. Too many fries(threw away about half, the smallest size is about the size of a large or extra large fries at your most popular fast food burger places) noon user-friendly, non– intuitive drink dispenser from Star Trek, at 7 bucks you think they could afford to put real cheese on the burgers not processed cheese food(American cheese), low quality burger patties(definitively not fresh despite what the sign says) difficult to eat burger(too tall to get my mouth around for a good bite) too much food in general… The ho-hum: Free peanuts! What am I, an elephant? Décor is bare bones(lots and lots of self congratulatory signage up and not much else…) Conclusion: Nothing special overall. Better burgers and treats at Burgerville and Dairy Queen.

I wasn’t paying attention to the reviews, so when I walked in and saw that this is essentially a fast food restaurant I hesitated. But then I spied the french fries overflowing out of the cup on a customer’s table and thought, hmmm… potential. Order at the counter. Totally custom, including adding extra malt to my chocolate malt. Meanwhile, every condiment and topping known to man kind is available. Here’s my second mistake, ordering a regular burger. To think that I would want a «Little» burger is nonsense. I’m 6′ tall, little burgers are for little people. Well, a regular burger is a double patty monstrosity. Next time I’m going Little Burger. Plenty of burger for me. I’m totally down with joining the little people on this one. I liked it, burger was good, no such thing as too many french fries and the chocolate malt was extra malty. But this is a fast food place… nothing fancy, self serve, if that’s what you are looking for this is a pretty decent choice. Side note, if you are allergic to peanuts, this is NOT the place for you. They cook with peanut oil which is clearly stated on both entries into the restaurant. Plus there are self serve peanuts, the tortilla chip of mexican restaurants. Peanuts everywhere.

Getting my Internet order with a chosen pick up time out 15 minutes late while people that are ordering in house while I am waiting for my order are getting their food first, is not good service. OK, I gave it one more try. I used The application and placed an order and delayed the pick up time until 7PM, yet waited until 7:15 for my order to be ready. I understand when there is a delay to wait for fries to be done, but this is unacceptable.

Too loud, too cold, too greasy. The burger(double with cheese) is decent but the generous portion of fries are greasy. Nice they give you so much but I threw half of them away. The blasting rock and roll music was unbearable. I don’t want to dance, I just want to eat lunch. Even the bathroom gets its own speaker so you don’t miss a beat. Right on cue while I was in there the song is «I want to ROCK! ROCK!» Give me a break. Forget having a conversation without shouting. I don’t know if that is a local manager decision or a chain-wide feature but as much as a rock and roll fan as I am, I found it obnoxious while eating. And the air conditioning has the place cold as a meat locker. Had to eat outside to escape the concert level music and freezing temp. I’m in no hurry to go back.

Unfortunately we can’t eat here, they use peanut oil. My son has peanut allergies, so just a FYI for anyone that has peanut allergies.

We were so happy 5 Guys came to Bend. We used to eat at the Gresham location all the time. We would order fries and they would fill the cup and add a scoop to the bag. We loved that! Very big difference here! Felt ripped off.

Don’t let the four stars fool you, I go crazy for their burgers. I just recognize that this is a faster food joint and am not willing to call it a five star experience. Ok, the burgers are bomb. The meat is just greasy enough, the American cheese plentiful, and the bacon is sooooooo crispy good. Getting a regular burger means two parties, and a little burger is the same size just one patty. Took someone telling me that as if I’m going to eat out at a place like this, I’m not going small. Shakes are tasty but not amazing. They have some mix-ins that you can choose at no extra cost. For the price the shakes seem small. The fries are worth getting. My experience is that they are really salty, so I ask for less salt on mine now. They are very dark in color and vary in crispness, but are fresh and don’t taste like over processed fries from other fast food places. They’ve got two of the cool Pininfarina designed coke machines, which means you can get something crazy like 100 different flavored sodas out of it. They look cool and work great. I should probably just write a review for these machines… Don’t plan on making this a fast experience. I usually wait 10 – 15 minutes for my food and I try to not go during peak hours, which is worse.

Tried the new Five Guys Burger and Fries restaurant in Bend, Oregon last week. Lots to like about it. And it seems Bend likes them too, because they were fairly busy for lunch. Basic selection of burgers — with cheese, with bacon. They have two sizes Regular(which is HUGE) and Little(which was plenty big). Prices for burgers range from $ 4.25 — $ 7.65 fully loaded. Just a word of warning their standard fries are cajun — so if you want regular french fries you are going to ask for them. we enjoyed the great music(classic rock) while we ate. Decent service, location and overall good burgers. Also noticed you can place your order online and pick up at the store!

Hubby really liked his cheeseburger, said it was one of the better ones in town. Vegetarian me wasn’t impressed with my grilled cheese. The veggies were very fresh, but the«cheese» was American Cheese, which of course, isn’t real cheese. I like my fries crispy, and these were… as another reviewer accurately described… wilty. Also, the ketchup didn’t taste right, even though the container said Heinz. What I did find odd… we opened our bag [after what seemed like a very long wait, with hardly any customers] and all I saw was fries. Our sandwiches were below the fries. How are we supposed to get to our sandwiches?

We love Five Guys! Our first experience was in Portland and we fell in love. So glad to have one in Bend. Both of my kids asked me to give it a five star review, and it’s worth every star. The burgers are awesome, way better than Red Robbin or the like, and I think they’re reasonably priced. This isn’t «fast food», it’s awesome food done quickly.

You would think the person making drinks could cue off the one calling out when the orders are ready so you don’t have to stand there with your milkshake in your hand for 15 minutes waiting for the rest of your to go order. It would be nice too if someone would tend to the seating area cleaning up the tables. When I arrived home I discovered what I ordered and what was on the receipt stapled to the bag was not what was in inside. Ended up tossing half of it in the trash. Overall, a bad experience.

Just like any other five guys. Busy, packed and decent burgers for the price… the cheese is a down side as it doesn’t really melt and is processed. For that I give it 3 stars. Good cheese would improve there burgers a lot. Go to the secrete menu online. Most times you have to show them on your phone so they under stand what your talking about. Overall long line, and packed seating with decent food

Absolutely the best burgers in town, totally worth the hype. Fries are excellent and fresh, burgers are flavorful and the toppings are wonderful. Drink selection is massive, milkshakes are awesome, and the staff is beyond the best! Love this place, definitely coming back for more!

There is nothing special about Five Guys. The burgers are below average and the fries are greasy. It was good to try a new restaurant in town, but I won’t go back.

Stopped in because I’ve heard it’s the spot for burgers… sadly not impressed. The burgers were greasy and processed cheese is a no no… yuck! The fries were nothing special and wilted. Definitely not worth the $ 27 spent… won’t be back.

It’s between Jersey Mikes and Chipoltles at 3rd and Wilson. Having the three of them in a row is like a giant church for fast food aficionados. Good stuff. When we lived in Houston there was one there. The fries were great and the burgers pretty good. The one up here — the fries are great and the burger was great. Yeah — I know it’s not local but it is damn good. Try this out and you’ll like it. If you feel guilty for going to a chain place then hit Bend Burger company or Hardy’s tomorrow.

The best burger you can get in town for under $ 8. And to be honest, a burger should never cost more than $ 8.

When I heard a Five Guys was coming to Bend, I jumped up and down with excitement. Yes, the burgers are a little spendy, BUT you have a choice of unlimited toppings and condiments! The burgers at Five Guys are to die for! And the French fries, omg! Both the regular an Cajun French fries are also to die for. Last time I went, it was pretty busy, line out the door, but they had been open for two days. I definitely recommend Five Guys for anyone looking for a new burger place to try! It’s delicious!
