I love this store! The staff is very courteous and extremely knowledgable. It’s a one-stop-shop for all of the sportsmen in my life! Great assortment of high quality clothing, boots, socks, hunting/shooting apparel, etc. So glad they are here!

Wanted to like this place, as I fully support local businesses, but this place does NOT have great customer service. Wanted to see what they could do about a possible trade-in for a ‘like new’ Filson coat, otherwise I was just going to try to sell it on-line. Guy told me to leave the coat there and they’d call me soon. Two weeks went by and nothing. Finally called them back and asked about it… guy was very short and just said, «come pick up your coat, we’re not interested». I asked him why I never received a call back and again he was very short and just said, «we did». Uhhh… no you didn’t. And even if you did(which you didn’t), you didn’t leave a message or try calling back at a later time. He made it very clear that he had no interest in providing a modicum of decent customer service. I’ve received better help from outsourced AMEX reps in India. Again, I really wanted to like this place. Lots of quality gear I like and would wear. Unfortunately, the help there mainly sits behind the counter and provides limited feedback. If you want to buy a full-priced article of clothing from a stuffy local shop as opposed to a deeply discounted online retailer, shop here.

I recently called Les Newman’s’ to ask what time they close. They had just closed but stayed open late for me as I drove across town to the store. I love when businesses make me feel like they want my business. As far as the store goes, this place is cool. If Teddy Roosevelt and John Muir were alive, they would totally shop here.

Les Newman’s has boots, work gloves, rain gear, and work wear, its all good quality stuff that will keep you warm/dry/safe while working or outside. I bought a pair of steel toed boots here, they were very comfortable, I have narrow feet and was able to find a pair there that fit so there were no blisters. The staff is very helpful. They carry Helly Hanson rain gear and Carhardt work wear, as an example. Les Newman’s has rugged charm sort of like Jack Palance with its worn hardwood floors and strong smell of leather and new rubber rain gear. The leather smell isn’t anything like the leather smell you’ll find in the sister of the guide thats been showing you around Acapulco and the zocalo, so you figure hey, we might as well follow him over there, winding your way through the t-shirt shops, craft shops, and other relatives he’s got to show you, and finally get there — and that leather smell assaults you, Les Newman’s is nothing like that.
